Last week we completed our first days in Costa Rica and that was quite the adventure!!! This week we progressively leave the beach and head up for the mountains. The cloud mountains. In the fog and in the night we observe interesting creatures and we finally get to enjoy a bit of freshness.
Everything did not go as planned this week but we met up with the Land Rover club of Costa Rica and made new friends! who knew there would be so many defenders in the country!

Agreeed … that s why we added his name in the new generic. But it is not enough agreed. With the amount of work we try to split tasks and we tried once but struggle to put this in place in the long term… that would be cool we agree.

My husband from Costa Rica was very happy to buy Salsa Lizano at our local latino grocery here in Missouri. It is so good in everything , yes tamales and beans. I love it in arroz con pollo. How do you like it? Such a unique flavor.
Yes we actually like it ! We put it in our own version of gallo pinto (very simple) and with the sauce it gives a good flavor to it!

Looks like you have had the good fortune to find mechanic's to work on the Defender.
Yes really. It was nothing really urgent or essential but those guys were the best and offered to do the check and job for free so we helped as we could and bought lunch everyday. Now all fit for South America!
Costa Rica is really nice and the people are really nice. I see you are on the Pacific side of the country are you going to go on the Atlantic Caribbean side? I would love to see the differences. 👍🏻🌴🌴🌞🌴🌴

Nicolas and Mathilde, Great job for keeping maintenance up on Albatross! I meant to comment on your last week's video just how well she runs! One question - Do you have access to dielectric silicone grease for use on all electrical connections on Albo? Since you're making water crossings now and in a tropical environment, dielectric grease is almost essential. Enjoyed this week's adventure very much!

Hahahah we only had one drone crash in Sweden a year ago! There it was scary but we were following the mountain from the valley side so we knew it was technically lower the ground hahaha but could as well have had finished crashed

Contaminated oil with mini metal pieces b so we eventually replaced the bearings too

La première langue de Nicolas est l’anglais. Il parle bien français mais on parles ensemble peut être 50/50. On a commence a faire les videos en anglais pour que toutes nos familles et amis comprennent et la langue commune pour tous c’est l’anglais.
