And the crowd went absolutely wild. It danced with delight to the shouts and cries of, "Come McKay". "Come the representative of both the King of the African clans and the Duke of the English and Scottish African continent." (No, they weren't shouting about Idi Amin). "Come, for the nation of Africa Lower to be united." (Perhaps united in Come). "Come, for the ultimate rule of law in accordance with traditional African tribal mannerisms and culture." (I think it went something like that). Well anyway, looking at South Africa in the 21st century, at least I got the last part of it correct 😁
A force to be reckoned with :-) Memorable years spent in the BSAP
Kum a kye 🤙
How was it?
3 Generations of my family served in this fine regiment. 1910 to 1980.
Daddy went to fight for the Green and White!😢
In memory of my dad been in the BSAP
Thanks for posting. I was privileged to be Rhodie.
You’re welcome! I may upload more in the future.

A fine Police Force the only one to have a kings colour to their name.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police that replaced the BSAP can't hold a candle to them
These are only of my favorite Historical police forces along with the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Royal Hong Kong Police
@@dominionofquebec10452 I would add the North West Mounted Police as well.
@@91amp ah yes RCMP's predecessor
@@dominionofquebec10452 yes Both the NWMP and BSAP were mounted units brave men (and women)

Fond memories of my late brother in the bsap police, the uniform was magnificent,,same colors today
Gone gone gone....progress. G'day from Australia.
A shame to have the watermark present over the entirety of an otherwise fantastic bit of film.
