In case some of yall dont know, in the final post credits scene they show Cindy Moon, also known as Silk who is a Spider-Woman in the comics. Also, could be wrong about this but I believe she was the only other spider person to come from the original 616 universe of marvel (besides peter) until Secret Wars managed to bring miles into the main continuity.

At least half of all these games seem to be about cleaning up after Norman Osborn’s bad decisions.
There’s only been 2 games both involving Normans decisions

Man I love the scale Insomniac went for, this is like God of War 3 levels of gigantic bombastic badassery. The story is also absolutely phenomenal, they hit it not out of the park, but out of the damn country with this game.
That Sandman fight at the start was bonkers. And they managed to top that. Insomniac is using like, fucken black magic or something, this kind of quality can't be from mortal minds.
we can agree at this point that insomniac spiderman is the GOAT , he took solo on scream, took on miles, took on fucking kraven, and lizard all solo fucking legend...not counting the first game where he was dealing with puny shit compared to this...

Out of all things, I did not expect to see Anti-Venom. Which makes me ask, why doesn't Peter just give Harry that suit since it's been cleansed?
i assume he can't because its been assimilated with Peter as that was remains from venom before mr negative changed it. its like how now venom became 100% assimilated with Harry the second time he got venom back. it wouldnt move on to another host unless you killed the host or forced it out.

The "G" in G-Serum has gotta stand for Goblin right? 😅 I believe Norman is going to take the serum himself, then when he's "under the influence" of it, he's going to make one for Harry... Norman will be the Green-Goblin and Harry will be the Hob-Goblin. And because Insomniac Games likes to mix things up i think Harry will end up siding with the Spider-Men to take down whatever villains are in the next game. Otto and Carnage are obviously guaranteed to be in it, cant wait to see how this story unfolds.

You DID get this version in the movies. This venom is based on the movie version. Its disappointing to me, i preferred the venom from the animated series

The first one was okay but the 2nd one was like watching a drama movie between 2 lovers.

@@thomasquwack9503 Yea, and while it makes more sense and looks better, WoS had better music, atmosphere, horror, and scale... but at least modders have the assets they need to make the remaster happen. Really, I'm just happy that more people saw the true potential of a symbiote apocalypse and that Insomniac helped to make that happen.

@@Nova_theCat_ web of shadows had some interesting mechanics like switching between the normal suit and the symbiote suit and they had different attacks. Also the aerial combat was ahead of its time in web of shadows. I just wish they implemented some of these things into spider man 2. Otherwise, it is an amazing game.

The game not only shows a new spin on the mythos, but the clever homages to various Spider-Man games from ps1 to present along with solid nods to the comics past and present. Especially ps1 , ultimate Spider-Man and web of shadowsINSOMNIAC, WELL DONE! I hope we get some cool dlc content.

As far as we could tell in the gameplay against Kraven it didn't seem distinctly hurt by fire seeing as it walked through flames with ease at timesquare.

I was genuinely not expecting Cletus. The reveal caught me off guard and surprised me
all right so from what i understand in insomniac spiderman universe:
1.peter is the user of anti venom
3.miles and cindy moon might be step siblings
3.gwen stacy is just a drummer currently but she exist just not as peter's ex
4.cletus kasady is know as the flame
5.mj was the scream symbiote host for moment
6.other marvel big time character exist in new york

It's REALLY frustrating that after all this time, Norman still blames others for his own mistakes.
And now that we have the confirmation that both Norman and Otto are going against the Spidermen, we could only speculate what they have in store for the future.
Well "the final chapter" seems will be the epic spiderman 3 with otto and norman against spider-men. "Make him suffer, make him wish he were dead. First.. we attack his heart"

@karthiknair1711 While I'm not 100% sure, I think Otto will keep his info regarding the Spider-Men's secret identities since he still absolutely hates Norman.
But Otto will most likely take advantage of his knowledge in his own way.

yeah thats lowkey the one thing I didn't like in this game, but it is what it is
Well, Peter did have lots of mental issues in this game where he had to basically still recover from loss of aunt may and betrayal of Otto Octavius, then deal with hunter that was totally savage, then got affected by symbiote that was aggressive and basically drained his energy. Plus also mental dilemma where he had to choose neither saving Harry or kill him in order to save the world... Those kinds of things could make you quite vulnerable.
@@aereiq Peter has all that to deal with and THEN SOME in the comics yet is still capable. Its just dependant on who's writing the story. Peter is a little too off his game...in this game for my taste. Especially since this entire universe was sold on this Peter having "8 year experience"...well now its a decade😭
I think Insomniac did an alright job showing how vulnerable Peter was and how it threw off his game. He was bit out of his league too, literally got caught off guard by Kraven and almost died. The symbiote fed off of his emotions and he became too obsessed with power, allowing himself to be reckless and stubborn. My only counterpoint for you is that Miles literally got carried by his powers, not to mention he was gone for like most of the 2nd act. However, I do agree that Peter was too much of a punching bag lol. I hope he gets more heroic moments when he eventually returns to the mantle in the next game. That whole Martin Lee fight made Miles my favorite character this game, but I still love the og.
Peter's just been through a lot. 8 years of Spider-Man, losing Otto, Aunt May, now Harry. Being taken totally by surprise by Kraven and the symbiote, after a solid 10 years of being Spider-Man he needs a temporary break. After some time living a normal life with MJ he'll be able to return. One thing Peter never gets in the comics is a chance to grow. The reason Insomniac is currently writing the best Spider-Man stories around is they're able to actually develop their characters instead of endlessly returning them to the status quo to sell comics.
Comic book Peter should be married to MJ with at least one kid by now and likely hung up the suit for good. Miles can carry the torch now, Peter deserves to build a normal life after everything he's sacrificed.
Peter was a bit too beaten down and weak compare to Miles I hope he'll get some redemption in the 3rd game.

Man...This is without a doubt my favorite part of Spider-Man 2. It really reminds me of Web of Shadows, but only better.
