My personal advice for the heavy blasters, DC-15LE with explosive shot is a real hero/villain killer, works perfectly to stop enemy hero killstreaks, since sabre heroes can't block the splash damage. I've humiliated so many hero players with it after they run out of stamina trying to block and close in on me. Don't forget to equip your "I'm sorry" emote for extra gags
The DC-15LE's Explosive Shot is pretty powerful, and is why the DC-15LE is used by a lot of Heavy mains. It does splash damage, can damage behind cover, and props up the damage rather decently. The TL-50 is used by a lot of people who don't spend too much time on the DC-15LE. At longer range, the TL-50 will lose to the DC-15LE with ES every single time. At close range, an ES DC can win out against a non-modded TL-50 as well. Hell, a simple Reddit search pulls up a lot of threads talking about how amazing the ES is.

That's all objective. Whatever gun someone uses is up to them and everyone uses them differently. The DV-15LE is not better or worse than the TL-50. It all depends on how good you are as a player and how you play
I really enjoy the format of your video. A lot of advice videos tend to push a narrative of only one build being the absolute best but giving options and encouraging to tinker and explore your own play style is a huge plus for me as a viewer, well done.
"Expert Weapons Handling is a Boost Card in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II that is available to all four trooper classes that increases the super success cooling duration of the player's weapon. A similar card exists for the Enforcer class that increases the amount of time their Overload ability can be used." You are reading it wrong..... it ONLY increases the duration of the GOLD cooling. ie when you cool your weapon and get the reload on the gold bar it INCREASES the duration by 10 seconds letting you shoot much longer without overheat. Not just ANY reload.
For the battlepoint build, the defenders star card also gives you battlepoints for hits on your shield. So, using the improved shield along with the defenders star card can actually rack up a ton of battlepoints if you use the shield and it's hit a ton of times.
I was quite surprised by the Star Card setup here. For walker assault especially, the explosive sentry does far more damage and racks up far more BP than the Ion Torpedo thought obviously you have to aim it. Explosive sentry turns the sentry into an explosive sniper with some practice. For what it's worth, I use Survivalist, Explosive Sentry and Improved Combat Shield with the TL-50. Swap out the combat shield for Ion Turret on Geonosis especially as they auto target the weak underbelly of the AT-TE
I find that if you don't hold the trigger down on the TL-50, you can easily get long range kills with short burst shots in a successive rate. It prevents bolt spread and maintains accuracy
I'd also like to add an anti-vehicle build. This is a build I usually use as the Rebels, Resistance and/or Clones, seeing as they don't get tanks, and the Dark Side does. I like to run with Ion Torpedo, the Ion Turret, and add the Ion shot to my weapon. This makes the Heavy more effective against other turrets, vehicles, and even fighters/bombers that can try do strafing runs. I wish more people did this build, as AT-ST's and Droid tanks can really wreak havoc if left unchecked. If you get just a couple of guys to run this build, GG tanks.
Detpack (detonite charge) is the best explosive in the game, change my mind. You can use it as a trap with 3rd person camera for free kills or just throw it and detonate it on top of someone and get free kills or free damage on a lightsaber hero.

I never use Bounty Hunter, since BPs are pretty easy to get (and the fact is unless you're going to Hero Camp, you're never going to really be fighting for reinforcements). Taking cards that directly impact that character is always much more helpful imo.

Great video! I've been waiting for this one to come out! I recently started playing the game and from watching your videos and class guides I feel like I have definitely improved a lot
I’m glad I found this since I’ll be experimenting more with those builds. Now I just have to wait for the specialist and officer class guides to hopefully find a build that would help me the most.
I used to use the Expert Weapons Handling card, too. But I stopped using it after I realised it only gives you more super success (unlimited fire for a short time) time, doesn't actually increase the regular cooling power.
Great video! My main classes are heavy and assault and this summed up the heavy amazingly! My main card build is Bounty Hunter Improved Combat Shield and the one that gives you points every time you takes damage. It's level 52!
Immensely disagree with you saying the exploding shot it useless on the DC, that's my main and it greatly increases range, recoil and damage as well as damaging through hero blocks, I use heavy like assualt with this gun and it rockss ~great video though keep it up love the channel 👍
On large game modes, Expert Weapons Handling, Marksman (I think is what it’s called, that resets your heat on a headshot kill), combined with the last blaster: You can pretty much shoot the thing non stop lmao.
My personal heavy build is survivalist, improved combat shield, and mobile sentry. TL-50 shreds up close and combat shield lets you fight up close even more effectively and mobile sentry can help you deal damage from a farther distance as well as refilling your health while it's active. So you cover more ranges and you're super tanky and lethal
DC-15LE the second heavy blaster easily my favorite with the recoil and advanced zoom mods can’t go wrong with it I find my self wining my gunfights at all ranges with it more then the last two heavy blasters
In my game my heavy uses the DC.15OR explosive shots, with the explosive sentry, the barrage launcher and the improved impact grenade. Basically I'm a walking anti armour turret
I always use the explosive sentry, it's very satisfying when you one shot most classes from almost any distance as they try to determine where you're aiming but can't because you aren't firing constantly. It also sprites lights abet heroes who then get demolished bc they can't block the shots
Hey, Sammy. I was curious what you think of the new Bodyguard. I know this guide is a little old, but I just got into Battlefront 2. I don’t run Bodyguard since it doesn’t do that defense up anymore. It only decreases damage when your health is low.
yeah i just got battlefront 2, trying to learn heavy first. Idk what cards to use, but i was thinking maybe bodyguard and supercharged sentry would be a good combo, as in the sentry mode bodyguard would help you take more hits while firing even though sentry does apparently enter you into a healing state.. what cards you recommend?
Archie, here’s what I play on the Heavy: Resourceful Improved Impact Grenade Barrage TL-50 w/Improved Cooling and Secondary Fire I sometimes swap the grenade card for Ion Torpedo when playing on maps with walkers. I also recommend you don’t use Secondary Fire on the TL-50, and use Reduced Spread instead. I just really like the way the blaster looks and love playing Iden Versio.
So I tested the A280C with and without the card, both times you can only fire off ten bursts..... checked the blue and yellow bars and they’re both the same size WTH?
My objective set is Ion Torpedo, Resourceful and the Ion Turret used on Kashyyk, Naboo, Endor, Crait, and Hoth. This is also very good for anti-air combat as well. The turret will lock on to players if it can't find a vehicle. Very situational, but the explosive sentry is great for choke-point control, locking down corridors in the final phases of Crait and the cloning facility in Kamino. I dropped the Heavy for CQC as I kept losing to Officers with Blurgs back when the Blurg was OP, but I might try your tank build and see how it goes with the latest patches of the game.
Expert weapon handling extend ''cooling success'', like when you successfully hit the yellow button when u overheat... Anyway, thank you soo much! Awesome vid m8
I like to use Overcharged and Lightweight sentry based on the map. If it's a wide open map with barely any chokepoints, I use Lightweight. If it's a condensed map with multiple chokepoints, I use Overcharged. Let me explain why. So, on maps with a lot of open area, splash damage won't mean squat, because everyone will be spread out. That's why I would use Lightweight on those maps. Being able to barrage one enemy with what's effectively one big laser with how fast and accurately the Lightweight shoots is a lot better than watching your fire hit everywhere around your target with splash damage barely damaging them. Meanwhile, with the Overcharged, if you shoot multiple projectiles with a lit of sored, along with splash damage down a narrow hallway at a horde of enemies, it'll kill multiple enemies very quickly m, instead of lasering one enemy at a time. Enemy heroes will also have less places to dige to avoid your fire. I just realized I commented this on a 2 year old video, so now I feel stupid
If I intend to get a hero as fast as I can, I use the star card where you “Gain battle points at an increased rate” the “Gain a little score every hit you take” and “take less explosive damage” and oh my gosh you gain points so fast
This video is great . I had played, heavy earlier. And went on some insane kill streaks. Even first 2nd. With the 1st n 3rd players being hero class. Now I know there is a tank build. Yea it going be so on. Now I just need learn sniper build. Cause heavy just sucks at long ranges. I would recommend this video to everyone .. 🔥🔥🔥
Im amazed nobody has noticed the explosive shot on the dc 15. Or whatever the second gun is. With reduced recoil and explosive shot it is by far the best blaster in the game.
Personally I'd prefer if you'd explain the base abilities and cards a bit more in-depth, like: how long does each sentry last with and without firing, how much HP does the shield have, how does each card that replaces an ability work, etc.
One time I was in a stoke match and I encountered an enemy heavy with a DC-15LE. Since he had similar card setup to me, I went in and attacked. But some other guy saved him and I died. It was literally The World (me and TL-50) vs Star Platinum (opposing player and DC-15LE).
I cant stress the devastating effect of the "Anti Arrmor" set is the ion torpedo and turret are a must and another card of your choice but taking out armor is devastating

Great video! I've been waiting for this one to come out! I recently started playing the game and from watching your videos and class guides I feel like I have definitely improved a lot
The heavy can be a beast in the right situations! Very underrated class imo
Agreed!!!
Indeed. I main heavy since I bought it a few weeks ago anr man i can get hundreds of kills in galactic assaults. Its a great character
@@19192021 if you dont me asking, what cards do you run and how is your playstyle? Thanks!
Keep in mind that the TL-50 reloads substantially faster than the other three blasters.
Great tips. Might play him a little now.
I’m glad I found this since I’ll be experimenting more with those builds. Now I just have to wait for the specialist and officer class guides to hopefully find a build that would help me the most.
My personal favorite setup is bounty hunter, improved combat shield, and supercharged sentry
Travis Games same and I use the tl 50
I've got almost the same setup
I used to use the Expert Weapons Handling card, too. But I stopped using it after I realised it only gives you more super success (unlimited fire for a short time) time, doesn't actually increase the regular cooling power.
Yeah waiting for it to go to yellow is a pain. I overheat & wait for blue. I use other Cards.
This is a great guide and everything you say is on point and accurate....... Great video 👍
I mainly say that because it's a pretty cheap mod for the weapon, I don't want to recommend people using cheap tactics 👍
@@SammyBoiiiSW ohhhhh yeh that's fair enough 😅
Been playing since launch and my go to combo is bodyguard, enhanced shield, and one free slot for versatility
Thank you for another class guide I suck at the game and trying to get better
Love these videos, brother!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!!!
I know I'm late but that tank/survival build helped me heaps. Thanks for the guide and keep up the awesome work mate!
In depth and helpful as always my man!
Anyone else love how you can hear the tl50 and super battle droids shoot from the other side of the map
Preciate this bro ion play too much of anything other than HvV and hero showdown but when I do I main heavy and this helped alot bro
On large game modes, Expert Weapons Handling, Marksman (I think is what it’s called, that resets your heat on a headshot kill), combined with the last blaster:
You can pretty much shoot the thing non stop lmao.
Gotta be a good shot though.
Improved shield, detonate charge and survivalist. With the TL 50 for my blaster, with the reduced spread and better cooling.
You edit your videos very well
I mix up the cards and create different combos ever so often.
Survivalist is so useful especially for heavy due to the slow health regeneration they have
Another awesome guide. Now all we need is the Officer, Specialist, and the Armor and Speeder classes.
I call that Defender Build. Great for the Endor map bunker or extraction missions.
DC-15LE the second heavy blaster easily my favorite with the recoil and advanced zoom mods can’t go wrong with it I find my self wining my gunfights at all ranges with it more then the last two heavy blasters
Nice vid 💯
Excellent guide! Thank you. Your aurabesh for "Objective Build" actually spells out "Tank Build".
Thanks so much for this! Noob to the game - this video helped me a LOT
I don’t think the detonite charge sees enough use, I tend to run it on my heavy mainly because it’s fun to use.
Archie, here’s what I play on the Heavy:
Resourceful
Improved Impact Grenade
Barrage
TL-50 w/Improved Cooling and Secondary Fire
I sometimes swap the grenade card for Ion Torpedo when playing on maps with walkers. I also recommend you don’t use Secondary Fire on the TL-50, and use Reduced Spread instead. I just really like the way the blaster looks and love playing Iden Versio.
@Sammy Boiii - I thought the expert weapons handling star card just makes the blue and yellow bars bigger in the cooling gauge?
So I tested the A280C with and without the card, both times you can only fire off ten bursts..... checked the blue and yellow bars and they’re both the same size WTH?
It makes the time that you don't build heat when the bar is gold, longer.
Sparrow 01 Ligma ah, thank you for clearing that up, appreciated
Sparrow 01 Ligma wait that’s it
Thanks for the tips Sammy, great vid 👍🏻👌🏻
I haven't played in a while, is the blurgg still OP??
@@lordrevan9788 Not really. SE44c is the way to go for officers. They nerfed the blurg some time ago.
Just subscribed after this
Fills me with the urge to exclaim that my weapon weighs 150kg and fires $200 custom-tooled cartridges at 10,000 rounds per minute.
This helped a lot thanks
Expert weapon handling extend ''cooling success'', like when you successfully hit the yellow button when u overheat... Anyway, thank you soo much! Awesome vid m8
For an explosives expert or "sapper" it's any grenade, explosive sentry, and ion turret or barrage
I run explosive sentry, barrage, and grenade and it's beast
I enjoy the feel of the fwmb but I can never get behind it’s appearance
Im amazed nobody has noticed the explosive shot on the dc 15. Or whatever the second gun is. With reduced recoil and explosive shot it is by far the best blaster in the game.
Personally I'd prefer if you'd explain the base abilities and cards a bit more in-depth, like: how long does each sentry last with and without firing, how much HP does the shield have, how does each card that replaces an ability work, etc.
I played after the Buff. Fragile that must be.
Heavy and infiltrator are really fun
Now that the bodyguard card no longer affects explosive protection, what would you recommend we use instead?
Whatever you want? Learn how to experiment and try new things without someone holding your hand
@@GradietPanda12345 I'm not asking for someone to hold my hand, it's just that he makes good videos and I wanted some recommendations.
@@StupidNSimplesns use bodygaurd, its still super good
One time I was in a stoke match and I encountered an enemy heavy with a DC-15LE. Since he had similar card setup to me, I went in and attacked. But some other guy saved him and I died. It was literally The World (me and TL-50) vs Star Platinum (opposing player and DC-15LE).
Dang you should make updated class guides with the new weapons like the E-11D, T-21, DL-18, and Cycler Rifle
I cant stress the devastating effect of the "Anti Arrmor" set is the ion torpedo and turret are a must and another card of your choice but taking out armor is devastating
Hey I'm trying to get the tl 50 so which guns should I do, DC-15LE, or FWMB-10k? Which one should I use to get more kills?
My build is the killstreak build, Rescourceful, Improved combat shield, and Survivalist (bodyguard doesnt reduce explosion and toxin dmg anymore)
other build is hero destroyer, Explosive sentry, Rescourceful, and Improved Impact Grenade
