That's a fine idea and exactly how I found your video. A couple fishing line clips would refine this, making it easy to remove and remount - but your idea is right.
Thank you for your feedback. I have spoken with Insta about not having a leashing point and they were not interested in the idea. It’s a pretty expensive piece of kit to not have a safety mechanism. Thanks for watching, and please like and subscribe if you haven’t already. It will help with the channel’s growth. Keep the rubber side down. Twinkle twinkle.
The aluminum cage costs around $70 and it still doesn't have a tether. It can get pretty crazy on a mountain bike and if one crashes into an object the clip that holds the camera is likely to snap.
@@Cameraflyer- That makes sense. I might do the same for my Ace Pro. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about those magnetic mounts, I'd rather use a 1/4-20 thread mount. Just so, the Insta360 is better than the DJI's mount.
@@Cameraflyer- I'm in Spain so I have to order it and taxes on these kinds of things is 22%. My Ace Pro cost €305 but with taxes was €369. Socialism is expensive. It's the same with bicycle parts, food is taxed at a lower rate which is more reasonable. We pay roughly twice the price for fuel as the USA - a liter of smelly diesel costs €1.20, or $5.5/gallon. Fresh Milk is cheaper!

Totally unnecessary. I use an aluminum cage with 1/4-20 mount to my skydiving helmet. I've never lost a camera.

@@bobmajew53 I can get a cage for $30. It would be very easy to add a tether.
