Didn't think a camera update video would make me teary eyed, but this video was great. I already knew I loved Wyze devices, but now I love the creators behind the devices. That speech at the end was heartwarming.
Seriously, I was watching hoping my wife didn't walk in and I would have to explain that I was having an allergy attack during a Wyze launch 😅 I really hope this new 2023 re-focus means my gigablast home network will finally be able to support the may Wyze products I've acquired over the years.

@@brianrussell4903 it wasn't about a camera. I think you're missing the point of running your own business. during those 5 years, an immigrant created a business and made it fairly successful. That business seems to have provided a decent life for his family.
@@dustenbarker8065 He created a business but what did he lose? Sounds like a lot. I think you missed the sacrifice I mentioned. I think he spent too much and would be sending an unhealthy standard for the employees as well. (I already understand the point of running your own business).
This is exactly why I've supported Wyze from the very beginning & why I'll continue buying your new products. I watched Dave & his daughter sing on TH-cam before Wyze was born & fell in love with the obvious love he had for his family. I am so proud to be a patron of such an amazing company. I remember when I found my first Wyze cam, (around Sept 2019) I was shocked at how amazing they were for the price and image quality! Other cameras do not compare or compete. I absolutely love the name OG!! YOU ALL ARE DETERMINED, AND I APPLAUD YOU! Thank you!
Yes they are cheap, but they are also very unreliable. I had a home set up and there was always s problem with them not recording properly in the 4+ years that I had them and the amount of time you will spend trying to fix issues is just not worth it.
I have about 25 wyze cameras (version 2, 3, outdloor, 3pro and all others like scales, doors, etc. Love you guys. I tell my friends and we plan to use it at our non-profit organization to replace our Arlo and Ring. Keep up the good work
My sisters and I have 35 Wyze cams across 6 properties and I monitor all of them. But that’s just the active cams, ive replaced probably 15-20 and have another 10-15 on the shelf as replacements. No exaggeration, I have bought nearly 70 wyze cams. I would NEVER do this unless the base price is very low. (I also have bought dozens of other wyze products). Thank you for changing the game with affordable products.

I have replaced them as well. For two reasons. Upgrade equipment, but mostly poor quality in the beginning whether it was the SD card or the camera original Pan or a V.
@@davidjulian9519 many of mine are at my house right on the Gulf of Mexico. Salt air is unfriendly to the V2’s. V3’s seem to fair better.

I had many WYZE cams over the years, with extra spares to replace whenever a camera choose not to rotate, or suddenly decided to stop working in color mode or become fuzzy due to moisture in the lens. It was easier to replace than to spend time with tech support, time was critical as I travel a lot.
It is great to support WYZE and see the company grow. Very good innovation and I love affordable tech. I would love for WYZE to work on a cell phone signal booster for home or cars. I do not want to spend extreme $$$ on "SureCall products" just to get a good cell signal on my phone. I guess time will tell. I am aware the focus is on cameras.

About 4 years or so my shed got broken into and a bunch of stuff was stolen, including a lawnmower and bike. Besides the fact that I was upset that I got burgled, I was really wondering how the hell they got a lawnmower and bike over a massive ~10 foot tall fence!! I immediately went searching on the internet to figure out how much home security cameras cost and was blown away by how incredibly expensive they were. But then I found Wyze, and I haven't looked back since. It has been wonderful to buy the iterations of your products throughout the years (starting with the Pan, then v2, v3, outdoor, the home security system, robot vacuum, etc!) and seeing the innovations and company grow. Keep being awesome. Even though I don't /need/ a few more cameras I will go ahead and buy a couple more, to support your wonderful company. I think I'll make a birdhouse and install one of the cameras on there!

Camera Plus is not a good idea recently when this product came out the only reason people bought it and know about it was the free cloud service yes they are getting a lot of people but they could have torn it down 2 or one day cloud it was like a spit in everyone's face and not give me people option the future it's a big slap in the face
I feel Wyze is part of my family. Since day 1 Wyze helped us to watch during the nights our new born and nowadays we have have +5 cameras because we trust this company. Proudly been supporting you guys for years now....such a great story. Originally bought stuff like the v1 PTZ despite having no need for it. Quality was amazing for the price. Wyze is on a different level now tho. Quality is just simply amazing! Love the new PT cam! I'll def pick up the OG and find a use for it.

Absolutely agree, I loved them at the very beginning and now even more. I've been purchasing so many Wyze products and have yet to get any in operation. But that's how much I believed in them from the beginning and wanted to support them. I need to bite the bullet and ask someone to help me get things set up. >^..^

I have become a big fan of Wyze. Started with their smart plugs & light bulbs, then the smart outdoor plugs which I have controlling my heated snow walkway mats. I'm using ReoLink security cameras but plan on adding some Wyze indoor & outdoor cameras. When the battery wireless doorbell comes out I will be adding 2 of those also. Keep up the great work Wyze team! Love your products & the app is top notch! 👍👍👍

The products are cheap but they are unreliable and are never working properly. There is always some kind of bug or issue affecting my cameras, every update brings more bugs and issues to fix. These guys should just work on basic stability of their products, its obvious they don't do any testing because they suck!

I'm a 75 year old farmer & hard-core, WYZE user. I like the innovation & energy WYZE generates in their product and customer focus. I've bought most of your products when they 1st came out. I've got WYZE camera's everywhere! We farm but our farm is a 1/2 mile from our residence. My WYZE camera setup and security at both places is 2nd to none, thanks to your superior & affordable product. You guys & gals are amazing! Keep it up, you're setting market precedence by re-capturing the American Dream!!! I'm rating you 5 stars across the board.

I have both the Ring and Wyze and when i show friends the comparison of quality of pictures your cameras always beat them out. I’m like you. I have many of the home security products as well. It’s mainly the prices that keep me hanging on to this start up company. I’ve been with them since late 1999. Being honest it’s not all roses. Broken promises on Ai performance. Broken promises on Sd card in the V3 outside. Broken promise on replacement of failed camera ( relocated ) just stopped working after the warranty period. Again, I hope for them to get better. They do listen to the customer and increase functionality of the camera. IR with great vision through glass windows ( I have other brands that don’t do that). The starlight night vision Is a huge plus. I still keep hoping for the Ai on one of my units gets better. I have the v3 installed upside down with Ai high on the peak of the garage maybe that's the issue. I'm keeping the faith ( in God) and still hope after many x 40 calls they will eventually fix my Ai problem on my annual account. Im being totally honest and not “ emotional.” I just want what they say they are providing which is not my experience. I keep hoping. Now the new products. Well. I like what the do in the right setting, and at the price I will buy the OG for close up and download speed which I hope works for me.

Wyze dudes, was gonna buy a Wyze cam pan v 3 but you guys need to include a LONGER cable than just 6ft!! One of your other cameras has a "pig-tail" which would allow me to connect a longer cable to it. That's what's keeping me from buying one of your cameras....thanks for coming on TH-cam 👍

Wyze got the best cam for the price out there. It even beat products with higher price range. The app is simple which make is easy to control the cam. I would not even waste my money on others. I hope they keep this business model. Good job WYZE team.

I like the accessories too, especially the bendable holder, and I will be purchasing a couple of more especially the outside ones and the new one with the light very impressive company and knowing the team behind it makes it even nicer to purchase from them, I always like the demonstration‘s because they put a lot of humor into it so you’re getting to see the product and being entertained at the same time I look forward to all your new products. Oh and I also love the strip lights I haven’t bought any sockets yet or lightbulbs but they’ll be next.

Lol damn now I need to buy these as well. Been using your cameras for quite sometime and have been donating a small sum to your company for over a year now.
Great story! Keep it going! I switched out my Reolinks to Wyze v3. The only one that I have yet to switch out is a Pan & Zoom camera.
Thanks for showing this dedication for cameras, I think the first place to start would be to solve Cam showing offline while still connected to network (might be a time sync issue, guessing). The proposed solution on wyze website is physically restart the cam, which in most cases isn't that straight forward because we mount cams in places where we can't reach easily or want to monitor places remotely. The current solution I am using is wyze plug powering cams, thus I am able to restart but it's only possible at some places. Having uninterrupted access is basic functionality.
I like to call myself an OG supporter, and are super proud of you guys! I still think your slogan should be "Think Wyze"

Wyze always has had a solid camera. I've only had one Outdoor Cam go bad, which they replaced under warranty. I have a V2 mounted in a small case on the side of my garage for at least 2 years and it keeps working, sometimes in sub-zero temps. The hardware is solid. The software has been another thing entirely. I let my Cam Plus account go because it just wasn't reliable. Wyze cams are good enough to monitor pets when away but not reliable enough to use for security purposes. The Wyze scale has been great for the price. The watch is little more than a cheap child's toy. Wyze was trying to release too many products in a short time and lost focus on what made them initially successful. I'm glad to see that they seem to have realized just that. After watching this video, I'm inclined to give them another chance. I was impressed in 2019. I hope to be again.

Im a snob for high quality products. workmanship and features. Im a photographer as well for over 13 years running a company. So i love camera tech. I first had google nest products...but the cost of owning multiple which is something you almost need + paying for having footage to just play back.. was a deal breaker. I was so happy to find wyze... for the price.. How could you NOT say no..man when i tried it.. i was so impressed. Internal storage for playback via sd card? YES PLEASE.. And to see how Wyze has developed over the years to improve and to do their best to maintain lower prices, got me thinking twice before making a smart home device purchase.. and to just see what Wyze has to offer.

Be great to have a higher end camera that has larger sensors, to increase sharpness, clarity and zoom capability all rolled into one. I certainly wouldn't mind paying more for one. Currently I have 11 Wyze pan cams and LOVE them, they have brought so much peace of mind, not to mention you can't beat the price. Up close images are clear, but I wish they were sharper and could zoom in longer distances with clarity, especially the outdoor mounted cameras at night. Keep up the good work!

The 1 product that was launched recently that's disappointing is the Wyze Pan v3, the proprietary L shape cable is not a welcoming feature to have if you love your customer base. I mean, I am somewhat Ok with it but please consider your customers base that install their cam outdoor that needs a significantly longer cable or already have an existing 25 feet cable that they can recycle to use the Pan v3 at the same location .
Other than the odd hiccup now and then (probably my router) I can't say enough about their awesome cameras! Been using Wyze v2 cameras from the beginning and love 'em!
I’m a Tech savvy Union truck driver in NYC. Tech is my passion, not driving a truck but if I had the chance to work for WYZE, I would do it ASAP! Looks like a fun company to work for.

Ive been happy with all the products wyze came out with. The only thing i dislike is how I have to pay for a subscription for the wyze sense security system. I hope In the future they have an option to have a self served alarm system where there is no subscription required.
Like Wyze they keep have some new products, I start with Pan1 camera and love it, last year I got couple Pan2, V3, a vacuum, and a lock, everything works great. The V3 camera night video quality is better than Nest doorbell.

Congrats on 5 years and the new camera. I'm curious if the OG is the same or better sensitivity as the v3 or is it a step back to the v1 or v2 quality. Also, please update the software/firmware for the new v3Pan to work with the light socket.
The V3 Pro is also not supported by the current Lamp Socket. They'll need to actually make a new Lamp Socket with an output of 5v/2a.
I got an OG the other day and still waiting for the telephoto one to come in. The OG doesn't seem to be as good quality as the V3. It also has a different layout and a lot of the options are in a different menu. Plus, you can't choose near and far for the IR lights. Nor does it have magnets on the bottom. I haven't compared the wide angle yet with a V3.

I like the telephoto but would’ve liked to see a bundle with the Mount and both cameras at launch.
I can't find the stack kit for sale on the site. edit: "When will Wyze Cam OG Stack Kit be available? Soon after our Wyze Cam OG and Telephoto 3x launch. Sorry about that. But the stack kit will be available to order within a few weeks of launch. Keep an eye out for updates." Guess I'll wait and see if they offer a bundle.
agreed, we were disappointed it got delayed and considered really hard delaying the entire launch for it. It will be here soon!

Is the OG better then the V3(non pro) ? I’m trying to decide if I should consider changing my V3’s for this camera.
I do have cam plus so that’s not my concern.

I kind of wonder if that zoom lens idea was inspired by users’ posts. I’ve just swapped the lenses myself since the V1, someone in the forums posted about the idea but I’m glad this is now available to the masses that don’t want to take their camera apart plus you get waterproofing, new SW and HW. I hope to see a dash cam with 4G/5G/GPS/direct WiFi, adjustable hot swappable magnetic lenses (converter/ND/polarizing) while keeping the waterproofing, the ability to view the cameras events even if the camera was disconnected and other innovations in the future.
