    Love the shape of the desk and for the clear container that holds your wipes, you could try those 3M picture hanging velcro strips that attach and you can just stick it on to the side of the desk. I use them for so many things and I really like them :).

    Where did you get those pink buffer blocks

  • @hey.gorgeous
    @hey.gorgeous 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just an idea for your cables that are on the side of your desk, I used toilet paper rolls and glued them together, and color it to your desire. Mine I used black which is easy to hide, and invisible from everyday see. Just cut one side so you can input all of your cables into it, which is easy to make, and easy to hide your cables. Or you can also use piping too! Love your desk, I actually seen it before while doing a google search for a home salon idea.

    Hello, you probably have changed things around by now or figured it out but you could add a shelf underneath the top next to the drawers on the left or a box shelf that fits your wipes holder. It will be closer to you and off the counter top.

    A suggestion for your tall polish bottles - I have a spoon rack hanging on my wall that I have hardly any spoons on and it has heaps of space (the length of a teaspoon and then some) between each row. I have thought of using that as a polish rack, maybe by attaching some picture wire or a very thin dowel just above each row to stop the bottles from falling off. It would have to be hung on the wall, but since you want to clear up your desk anyway something like that could work for you. I picked mine up form the side of the road ages ago because I felt sorry for it. Didn't really have a use for it back then. But you're sure to find them on Ebay or in thrift shops.

  • @tonileeks-lee6931
    @tonileeks-lee6931 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey love...Ikea has the wall lack shelf it's a single that you can attach on the side under the paper towel holder and then after you install it place your wipe holder on the shelf.And if you go on amazon or ebay type in jumbo lip gloss holders they are the perfect size to hold the paints.

    I am going to add an edge. The area behind your ring holder and to all the space that is not used by myself nor the clients. That way it will insure that nothing falls off the table just in case it's bumped or pushed back too far by accident.

    Hey Talia! I completely understand you not giving out the dimensions of your desk. I do absolutely love it and think it was a very clever idea.
    I am planning on getting one custom made for myself but before I go to far with it I just wanted to ask if you find it very bulky?
    And if you may know how much space is between you and your client?
    That is the only part I am having trouble with is the space between me and my client.
    Thanks so much! Keep up with the videos absolute love them!

    For your cord issue, you can cut some pvc pipe and decorate it to look like a column. Either a Greek look or sponge paint it with pinks to match your decor. It would look amazing. An idea for getting those things off your desk, it looks like there is a space between the desk and the wall, if so I would purchase another drawer unit to set those things on. You can't have too many drawers. lol.

      Just wondering if you have any tutorials on applying the light elegance colored hard gel. Thanks

      No, I don't offer tutorials at the moment. If you contact Light Elegance directly, I'm sure they will be able to help you out :)

    Hi Talia! I have question about the Light Elegance lamps and I would love your honest opinion. I just ordered 2 of them from Canwest. They arrived yesterday but when I opened them I didn't realize how small they were and how tight it is for your hand compared to a normal size lamp. Do you find this to effect your clients nails making it in without missing and scraping them on the top of the lamp on their way in? There is nothing that makes me cringe more than when I see my beautiful work cured to the top of the opening!!! I love that these lamps are uv/led so I don't want to return then for a larger lamp but I also want my money to be used on something effective. So if you can give me a tried and tested opinion on them I would love that. Thank you :)

      I love the LE lamps. I like the smaller size as they take up way less desk space. Your clients might take a bit of getting used to them, I had to remind some to pay attention when going in, but there was gel cured on my larger opening lamps too. I like them :)

      +Talia's Nail Tales Yes your right! I have a double wide lamp right now and there is still gel cured to the top lol! I will stick them out and see how it goes! Thank you :)

    I've been a certified nail tech for a year now and you really inspire me to pursue this as a career. 😊 Any way my questions are where did you purchase the spring for your e-file and timmel? Also where can I find the zebra sanding bands? I'd love to try those.

      +Shanna Carmell I’m glad they are helping you Shanna! Thanks for watching :)
      The spring is from Canadian Tire, which is like a hardware store if you’re not in Canada. I found it in the door hinge section. Zebra sanding bands are from DK Beauty in Calgary. Hope that helps!
