My favorite lenses for my a6700 is the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 and the Sony 15mm f1.4.

For my current video kit I have the Sony 10-20mm, 20-70mm and 70-200mm lenses. They're all 'G' series and are f4. Having the same 'G' series lenses means that lens characteristics are the same between all three lenses. No color shifts or other lens anomalies show up between these lenses. Having consistency with lenses is important for any project.
On a typical video shoot my 𝛼6700 will be set up on the gimbal with the 10-20mm. My FX30 will be on sticks with either of the longer lenses. This set up works great for the doc style shoots I tend to do. Being able to quickly transition between the wide gimbal and the telephoto tripod helps insure that a "moment" is not lost.
Anyway, all three lenses are great. The 20-70mm and 70-200mm lenses are super sharp and have great bokeh. The 70-200mm is also a macro. I've been blown away with being able to do precise focus rolls in macro using the awesome focus system on these Sony cameras. Needless to say, I've been very happy with these three lenses. I guess my clients have been happy with 'em as well...they keep hiring me back!

I own the sigma 18-50 f2.8 e mount which i use on my Sony A6600. It is a cracking little lens, and I like so much i am going to buy the RF mount version for my Canon R7 !

I think further explanation is necessary especially for beginners. I for example switched from zooms to primes and couldn’t be happier. Maybe title it as the best zooms? 🤔

I love the 70-350 and the Viltrox 75 1.2, for wide angle 1 use the Sony 11 1.8 and the Viltrox 13 1.4 (astro)

I never used 3rd party primes until I purchased my Sigma 16mm f1.4. Effectively, a 24mm lens on a 2/3 APSC camera. For me, the perspective is perfect. I use it for family gatherings, parties, street photography, etc. I do need a mid-range zoom, so one of the lenses reviewed may be my next buy?

I went with Tamron Lenses. 11-20, 17-70, & 70-180 full frame. Great for photos and videos.

Interesting. I had both the Sigma 18-50 and the Sony 16-55G. Sold the Sigma as it was not a patch on the Sony.

    • @RandumbTech
      @RandumbTech 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

I have both as well and the Sony is so much better than the Sigma in every way - sharpness, focal range, IBIS performance, etc. The only benefit to the Sigma is the size and weight, but it's not like the 16-55 is massive so it's well worth the trade-off. Sony cameras work best - especially in video mode - with Sony lenses.

The 70-350 is insanely sharp for a telephoto zoom....almost prime lens level sharpness

For me it's the Sony 20mm 1.8 Fe (30mm equivalent for street etc) , the Sony 16-55 f2.8 and the Sigma 56mm f1.4.

very nice video. You don't talk shit like other youtubers, like "anamorphic is essential lens with this camera" or a lot of unusefull primes; becouse, the TRUE is (for videography) prime lens are usless and the 2.8 it's what you need. So, very usefull video, 3 lens and you can do everything !

Naw... list is way off. From widest to tightest FL, the best lenses would go...
    1. Sony 11mm F1.8 (or Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 for zoom)
    2. Tamron 17-70 f2.8
    3. Sigma 70-200 f2.8 (or Sony 70-350 f4.5-6.3 for budget/range)

Viltrox 27mm F1.2, or the cheap version: Viltrox 23mm f1.4
Sony 11mm for vloggers or 16mm for the standard cinema wide (24mm equiv)
Sony 100mm OSS zoom lens, constant aperture, if you need a zoom, its nice..
