This is a pretty silly argument, and there's a reason you don't see Muslims going around using it, despite the Quran explicitly telling them to. When Jews and Christians call themselves the children of God, they don't mean literal children (As Allah seems to think they do), and God punishing them for their sins has nothing to do with this. Any loving parent would punish their children for their sins.
Islam makes claims about Judeo-Christian prophets to make them out to be more Islam-friendly which are not only unsupported in any existing Judeo-Christian tradition but also directly contradicted. Most Muslims are aware of this but simply brush it aside by saying that the Bible and Judeo-Christian tradition originally taught what Islam teaches but were then corrupted through time by Jews and Christians, seemingly undeterred by the lack of evidence (And existence of contradictory evidence) for such an important claim.
The Quran makes the claim that even if all humans and jinn came together, they couldn't create a book like it. The obvious problem is that this is impossible to test. Even if we ignore the jinn part, only about 3.8% of people know Arabic, and there's no way any large portion of Arabic speakers would come together for something like this. I am going to suggest another very important reason, having read 40%+ of the Quran in English & researched Mohammad, who was a violent man. The last book of the Bible was written by the Apostle John in approx 95AD, my King James Bible dates back to 1611AD, Mohammad was born approx 572AD & the Quran started approx 620AD! This war between Israel & Hamas is NOT ABOUT LAND but is a religious war going back centuries to Abraham and his sons Ismael (illegitimate) and Isaac (legitimate).
