ABOUT TURKEY CREEK NATURE TRAIL PARK: The 20-acre conservation area features a boardwalk, Nature walk, pavilion, benches, swimming holes, and swimming platforms and steps for easy access in and out of the creek for swimmers.
The boardwalk is a mile long and is marked at the ¼ mile points. Lots of locals regularly walk the boardwalk for exercise. The boardwalk features several viewing areas to enjoy views of the creek and wildlife such as turtles, ducks and a number of different birds, among other critters. Markers along the trail identify vegetation.
Along the creek, swimmers and waders have fun cooling off from the heat. Canoes, kayaks, and tubes are allowed. No gasoline engines are permitted.
The pavilion at Turkey Creek Nature Trail Park is equipped with lights, picnic tables, grills, and a large stone fireplace hearth. Many events are held at the pavilion during both the day and evening. Birthday parties, office events, socials, team recognition ceremonies, etc. are welcome. The pavilion works on a first come basis.
There are soda vending machines and restrooms near the pavilion. Security staff is on site to ensure a safe, fun environment for all to enjoy.
There is a special quiet area located near the middle of the boardwalk. It is open to everyone but with an emphasis on living parents who have lost a child.
