You guys have no idea, somalia is way ahead of african countries in many places, the QR code will be successful. Somalia have been a cash less society for the past 10 years. The QR code will just make transactions faster but it will work the same way.
Ah African Giants! We really respect the innovation and genius of Nigeria. Please don’t make assumptions and talk on us like we are completely clueless. Somalia has been cashless for the last 3years at least and most of the people there use smart phones and have internet access. Faster than the UK at times 😂 but innovation is important, ingenuity is important. Let them try, if it fails it’s ok, they will go back into iteration and try again. Remember a lot of the diaspora are coming back to Somalia and investing to try and build it up. We need to be like our Nigerian brothers! Who are the leaders in the technological arena 👏 👏
so, in ya'all logic, QR code won't work on a country that does 80% of their transactions through phone, a country that has one of the cheapest data in Africa and the world, a country that has people driven by entrepreneurship. can't follow, you discussion. discuss based on facts, not preconceived own's belief of somalia. take into account diaspora money remittance and all.
Somalia has smartt phones and old phones. Cuz safety reason every person got two phones. People still use money trust me. Somalis are generous and help each other out. I seen people in farm with iphone 9. Most somalis dont work for others they are entreprenor. And you shouldnt trust static world bank, they dont ask around
@techpointafrica this is pure jealousy how can you talk about a country like that when it clearly shows that you don't know anything about it? Somali was and still is and will always be ahead of other Africans and if that hurts you or you can accept that then stay mad and depressed. we are more developed when it comes to technology than any other country.
@@emmanuelben1393they’ve never visited Somalia, they ONLY know what they read! Somalia’s got smartphones but they prefer to not use it due to culture & religion. The internet has never been able to enslave the minds of the Somalis which is honestly something to admire.
To add to my previous point! I hope to see business relations from the West to the East to the South of African. United we rise, Divided we fall and I dream for a day where access and visas are not an issue within the continent so we can know each other better.
east to north to west to south to Central that's africa, stop dividing and leaving north africa out while preaching about africans. its either all africans or every region for its own
@@Itsmeyourqueeen The entire continent of course! You are absolutely right and thank you for pointing that out. It was honestly a mistake and not intentional.

When they do not have the infrastructure to run QR payment system, what do you mean, is it not just a phone the public needs?
It has the fastest and cheapest Internet in Africa
