"Understanding the African Market as a Startup Founder" would be a better title. Great insight!
I love the way he communicates, you can’t help but understand 👏
Good evening bro please can I reach out to you I need your help on this particular podcast 🙏
This is very informative and educating. Thank you Chioma Ifeanyi-Ez.
This is extremely mindblowing!
Thanks for the knowledge🙏,but what if the co founder didn't put much energy into the startup company and not just that having plan B and start working for plan B,the moment he just start earning from the start up company without putting much energy and more effort in growing and scaling the company
Revelation 13:16-18 King James Version 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Solid stuff. Second time studying it
Pls everyone am looking for a company to do internship with accommodation or if the company is not far to agege there is no need of accommodation
why am i just seeing this now? very insightful
The culture in Africa does not support e-commerce practices. People are price-sensitive and want to feel what they want to purchase before buying. Also, some of the buying experiences have not been good. I have bought three products from Jumia that were all duds and never worked. I cancelled Jumia in my mind and have not bought a thing from them since. I prefer Konga any day.
Wow you spoke my mind! We just don't have the disposable income to pay for convenience.
And this was 7yrs ago. Great
Really love the insight
The app is not working on my phone
Great session honestly
1:05:50 Are you the tech founder or the reporter. Shut up and let the tech founder asnwer the questions
Techpoint is a blessing. Thank you very much Seye Bandele, Irene Nwaukwa. You are geniuses.
4:56 this guy doesn't understand the difference between qualitative and quantitative data. When you use a survey, then that's the primary source of collecting data. The major difference between qualitative and quantitative is that qualitative is not originally in numerical form, while quantitative can be qualified. i.e. originally, they're in numerical form.
I love his manner of presentation. A well read man but he maintains originality of speech. He didn't try to impress the audience with fancy words and intonation. I searched and followed him on twitter just a few minutes into the video.
This is a powerful marketing lessons
Good advice at the closure
Every one scams in Nigeria even the president
This is really good. Nice job, Techpoint
Excellent documentary. You only have to do a quick survey on the roads in Lagos. Chinese brands are clearly taking over the brand new car market. They need to press on this advantage by training local mechanics and ensure car parts and maintenance are readily available. It’s a winning strategy especially in the present economic climate.
Nice positive message from the China man at the end.
interesting, The Chinese on the way...
Wow. Very insightful video!
Glad you enjoyed it
They don’t care about your product ..but they care when your product doesn’t function as expected..they dump it and move to your competitors
Wow... Back to back more than 1 hour of Most Brilliant Thoughts. It has literally changed my perspective. Blessed with lot good teachings and friends while working in Nigeria.
Hello, please what's up with the techpoint Africa podcast? We've not seen you guys in weeks! Are you on break or something?
This was too short 😭
This session is revolutionary, finally some true facts about the north
Northerners are actually the hospitable, coming down to the south showed me how much kinder we are especially with strangers
Grateful to the presenter. I learned and laughed at the same time ❤

How are we going to translate a physics book in all the over 500 languages in Nigeria?
❤thank you
Thanks you guys for covering this company and the general e-commerce space really. Can you guys expand a little bit more on how Jumia fares in pricing compared to their competitors? Does it stand out overall? Also, I’m looking at Africa from a Western perspective so I really only have data to go off of but do you personally see day-to-day improvements in infrastructure and development in the country like it’s being projected for the coming years? Also, in areas like SA where Jumia has stopped services, how relevant have their services been compared to competition? Thank you, glad to hear a local perspective on this company and industry.
Lol, how do I know if it's not stolen? Should I ask the phone? 😂
