Fun story: the only reason I gave the game a chance is because I am a 40K fan. I didn't really care about it at the time despite my older brother's best efforts, and when I asked him to give me one reason, show one cool ID from the game, he showed me N Corp Don with her giant hammer, goofy smile and oversized armor covered in blood and wax seals. I got her on my first 10 pull and used up until Canto III dungeon. Now I have over 400 hours on the game. I even made my manager pass message "The fault lies with _Don Quixote_. All of it!" with the art of N Corp Don, since it's truly her fault I have PM brainrot.

I think the whole white pants and revealing top is a inspiration from Yakuza to portray a gangster-like character and it works in showing a very blunt, aggressive and confident character. As for the chains, it’s part of the middle design so basically everyone has it. I’d say it represents the whole gangster nature of The Middle very well but as Esgoo said, not everyone likes that look but still gotta give credit for how it fits.
The only one I know of that doesn't have the shoes in their sprite is N Don, and even then the uptie cutscene states that she wears them inside the armour

I don't know the one about Yi Sang, Faust, Heathcliff and Sinclair, I haven't noticed the details.

I'm fairly certain I also talked about how I didn't like the "aesthetic" overall...as in I don't like that style of armor, as in their actual outfits. I didn't feel the need to go too in depth with my problems with heavy armor as a whole.

I think TingTang Hong Lu’s Hawaiian shirt is funny, cause it’s actually multi colored, Blue, Pink and White. I don’t love it still, but I can appreciate it. The chains are the real killer of the middle IDs alongside the ugly purple and white Hawaiian shirts. Also I like TingTang’s funny little shank dagger, so it’s definitely some personal bias on him

Holy shit Mom, I made it into an ESGOO video! But seriously, thanks for using my comment for so much of this video. I kinda made it on a whim, and didn't expect it to be so prevalent, so thank you so much. (Warning, long comment jumpscare) As for my thoughts on the actual video content: I actually can understand since it's based on Idle sprites over the art used, but I'll say personally that I feel like it's a bit harsh to do that. After all, most people's first impression of IDs/EGO is the art, and while you don't view it as often as most... I will admit I spend a good amount of time introducing people to this game, so I've spent WAY more time looking at the art than I probably should. Now, just a few specific points that I wanted to comment on myself: 1. WCorp being so high is still strange for me, but I can understand Don's lower rankings overall a bit more now. I'm personally not a huge fan of the armor type WCorp use, nor the color blue, but that's because I also prefer more fantasy stuff over Sci-Fi 2. I feel like in most cases, I'd agree with you on the blood point... But I guess I tend to consider the actual ID's origin when looking at them as well, so the blood just seemed natural on NCorp for me. They're so hell-bent on killing anything that's barely human that in almost every encounter they're spattered with it in some small or large amount. I can understand the Mersault face thing though. That KCorp juice is getting to him. His shoulders (and Rhino's) are probably just the oversized shoulder pads that more ceremonial armors tend to use though, so I let that part slide. 3. BL's being in that ranking is a bit more fair since I know it's based on Sprite art now. So you're good on that front personally. 4. Yeah, that's fair. I mostly posted that since I was mostly looking at the parts of the outfit separately, rather than the whole of how it was put together. Now that you've pointed it out though, I do actually agree more. 5. I think the reason I like the Moddles so much is because I count their tattoos as part of their drip. The chains, while not 'golden' as some people would call them, are probably like that because of the rust from all the blood when they beat someone to a pulp. So maybe they were at one point like Ricardo, but now they've been sullied. (And judging by the people's reactions... they're going to get a bit more bronze with yours) 7. While the outfit is plain, I'm glad you at least boosted it beyond what it was. Sometimes plain can be drip, y'know? 6... Listen, this will take some explaining. While I do understand the confusion as to why I lumped all 3 together, it's because those 3 in particular are the only EGO outfits I questioned the placement of. For context: MBOutis is top tier, as they should be. FoxHeath, while they are great, is... not exactly in the most dripping state, even with all the rain from Sunshower. Talisman is... Meh? I love most of the EGO IDs, but the Talisman outfits would be lower without the actual Talismans IMO. Sloshmael needs their own tier... 2 down from Drowning. As for the actual 3 mentioned: Don is weird, because the fluff doesn't really get translated over well compared to the art, so I guess it's more understandable. I'd at least put her in the lower C tier personally. RegretFaust is fair. While I am a Guilty Gear fan, I can understand people not liking belts on top of belts, and Regret doesn't really have the best outfit (or weapon) look overall from LobCorp. Now look... I know we all miss Yuri, but that outfit of hers and LobRemFaust is not comparable to the BL IMO. I'd agree with bottom of B Tier, but not mid-B-Tier where she is now. Anyways, sorry about the rambling, and good video as always. Can't wait for the E.G,O. Drip Tier list video next week when you put SignGregor in high C Tier and BoK Sinclair in Dripping the fuck out. Objectively everyone has their own tastes. So putting any drip into lower tiers has gotta make people upset. IMO I like the abnormality designs, do a tier list of those when you need any idea for sloptent
Drip isn't one singular thing. That's why it can both be true that Spicebush Yi Sang's plain white and greys are good to give a stark contrast to the bright yellow leaves while Middle Don's garishly clashing purple/yellow/brown/white is good as an expression of the Middle's obnoxious style. Personally, I think Suncliff is the least dripped out ID, at least going by sprite alone. Bland, shapeless garment, a palette that's muddy which fits but doesn't make it good. Even if he is literally dripping.
Okay, I watched the whole video and I will say: You have as many good takes as you have takes scraped from the hot plate of a microwave. This tierlist thus averages out to an okay/correct given your reasoning and I would only spit on it once were I to see it in public

As a fan of the N Corp IDs, who thinks their armor is pretty cool...I actually can't fault you for not liking their drip mainly due to the blood, that, is a pretty fair point. Like, if you walk into a fashion show covered in blood, people aren't going to praise you for your style, they're calling the police on you. The wax seals, those I feel give them style, but hey, still can't judge you too harshly for that. Also, fair that you put N Meursault high above the others, his cape _is_ pretty cool, and yeah, N Sinclair being a parallel of Base Sinclair _is_ super sick. Fun fact, even his animations mirror Base Sinclair's, it's so cool. (Edited this part in after I posted, saw you said in another comment you don't like their style of armor. I feel it's out of place in the setting...which in turn makes it better, hahah. Like, you've got a modern day conventional setting, and here come these medieval knights in full body armor, it's kinda funny, heheheh. And like, the fact that it's full body armor, actually highlights their hypocritical nature. Like, they care about the "purity of humanity"...yet they cover their whole bodies in metal anyway. It's thematic, and thematic drip gets bonus points in my book. Still, if you don't like the style of armor they've got, that's still a fair point, so i can't really fault you too hard for it either.) Also actually, fair point about the LCB Sinners having different ways of wearing their outfits, never really stopped to think about that. It's a neat little detail, and, I can see why you like some of their styles more than others. And while I think Blade Lineage are pretty cool, yeah, can't really fault you for thinking they're kinda plain. They are samurai though, so that does give them some coolness factor. So, high B actually does make sense for them, yeah. ... *_However_* , there are some opinions of yours, that I simply can't abide by, heheheh: First off, stop bullying Don for her shoes, they are fine. Truth be told, I hadn't initially noticed that the shoes were a throughline for all the Dons, and, now that I know that they are, I like the Don IDs even _more_ , so thank you for pointing them out, heheh. (Fun fact, N Corp. Don has the shoes too, they're under the armor. Her Uptie Story mentions how she wears them that way. Initially thought she was the only Don who had them on, til' you pointed them out.) I like that it's a bit of personality that's added to each of her ID's, like Ryoshu's sword. And like...they look just fine to me, personally. And speaking of Don, Lantern Don is cool, and I like her too. I mean, as you don't like the blood and gunk on other IDs, I guess I can't fault you for disliking her for the spit-goo on her many fangs. But like, the actual outfit, I think is cool, and it's also hecking neat how she has the Gifts of Meat Lantern, Void Dream and Fragment of the Universe. (Though upon looking at her sprite, you, can't ever actually see Fragment of the Universe's Brooch in it? It's always covered by her arm or the hammer, or it's not visible due to perspective, and even when she's facing the opposite direction, the game just, mirrors the sprite so it's still not visible. So, fair that the Brooch isn't factored, since you're going by sprites. Still, my point stands based on the horns and teeth.) Essentially, her design doesn't _need_ to be, like, cohesive and such. She's essentially "that lucky Agent from Lob Corp who ended up getting a ton of gifts early on, so they became one of your favorites". That specific design she's got, evokes those vibes, (and I feel her Uptie Story confirms that's what they were going for, with how she's worked on various Abnormalities,) which is why she looks like that. Her design's a mishmash, but it actually _adds_ to her charm rather than detracting from it. It's essentially, Full Gremlin Don. And I think the fact that this Don, _has_ the shoes, is actually a neat touch, considering, this is Lob Corp, that's not part of her E.G.O. gear, yet she's wearing it anyway. Adds to the gremlin charm. G Corp Outis, I feel is too low, though I suppose it, depends on if you're factoring animations. You did say it's mainly the Idle Sprites, so, that's fair. But like...she attacks by yelling at foes, it's neat. She never actually even touches her enemies, her Skills are all just yelling commands to her allies, dealing Blunt damage from presumably the sound waves, or her foes having a heart attack from being yelled at. Her Skill 3 also reveals she's got some neat tendrils in her back, that's cool. And like, her Skill 1 is a Pierce Skill...solely because she points at her enemy while yelling at them, come on, that's _amazing_ , you cannot convince me otherwise. Middle IDs...I personally like them, and I feel a lot of their charm comes from how their outfits are...how do I say this without ending up in the Book of Vengeance...boldly unique, they make a statement by wearing them. They say "We wear what we want, and we've earned that right due to our power. Challenge us on it, and face the consequences.". The fact that their outfits are like that, while they have the views they do over them, makes the whole thing better, you know? (Also I personally think the chains and glowing tattoos are cool but that doesn't have to do with the point I'm making. Also they have a _sick_ soundtrack, which while it isn't _directly_ a part of their drip, I feel it _enhances_ their drip. Again though, not my main point.) Also, with Spicebush Yi Sang, I agree his outfit is plain...but that's actually to his drip's _benefit_ . Hear me out, the main thing his design has going for it, is the flowers, right? The vibrant yellow they've got. If the rest of his design, was just as colorful and flashy...then it'd drown out those flowers. He's wearing muted colors, to draw attention to those flowers, to make them a focal point. As such, I feel that his outfit, makes sense. ...Also I personally like the branches and such, but, I won't fault you for not liking those, despite how cool I think they are, personally. And finally...Mariachi Sinclair in C Tier!? The man deserves _at least_ low B, and I'd personally place him higher than that myself. It's one of the most stylish IDs in the game, he _rocks_ that sombrero, when he attacks he bashes his foes with the maracas on beat, even stopping before or after attacks just to shake them, it's fabulous. Also come on, he deserves this, you know how bad he is in combat, drip is his specialty, give him the win in the category he rightfully earned it in. ...But in the end, this is all simply a matter of opinion, and I can't force you to like stuff that I do, heheheh. Likewise, I bear no ill will towards you for having different opinions than me on these things. I still think you're pretty cool, ESGOO, heheheh. (Besides, I agree with most of your S Tier choices, (Pirate Gregor truly _is_ the best ID in terms of drip,) and most of A, myself. It's mainly, C and below I have problems with, heheh.)
I actually like G Corp Outis. I like the horns more than Reindeer for some reason, and a little bit of blood is character IMO. And Spicebush's yellow flowers are really pretty, and Heathmael's pants are a nice shade IMO. Aside from that... I got her on my first 10 pull and used up until Canto III dungeon.
Now I have over 400 hours on the game. I even made my manager pass message "The fault lies with _Don Quixote_. All of it!" with the art of N Corp Don, since it's truly her fault I have PM brainrot.

I think the whole white pants and revealing top is a inspiration from Yakuza to portray a gangster-like character and it works in showing a very blunt, aggressive and confident character.
As for the chains, it’s part of the middle design so basically everyone has it.
I’d say it represents the whole gangster nature of The Middle very well but as Esgoo said, not everyone likes that look but still gotta give credit for how it fits.

I think TingTang Hong Lu’s Hawaiian shirt is funny, cause it’s actually multi colored, Blue, Pink and White. I don’t love it still, but I can appreciate it. The chains are the real killer of the middle IDs alongside the ugly purple and white Hawaiian shirts. Also I like TingTang’s funny little shank dagger, so it’s definitely some personal bias on him

As for my thoughts on the actual video content:
I actually can understand since it's based on Idle sprites over the art used, but I'll say personally that I feel like it's a bit harsh to do that. After all, most people's first impression of IDs/EGO is the art, and while you don't view it as often as most... I will admit I spend a good amount of time introducing people to this game, so I've spent WAY more time looking at the art than I probably should.
Now, just a few specific points that I wanted to comment on myself:
1. WCorp being so high is still strange for me, but I can understand Don's lower rankings overall a bit more now. I'm personally not a huge fan of the armor type WCorp use, nor the color blue, but that's because I also prefer more fantasy stuff over Sci-Fi
2. I feel like in most cases, I'd agree with you on the blood point... But I guess I tend to consider the actual ID's origin when looking at them as well, so the blood just seemed natural on NCorp for me. They're so hell-bent on killing anything that's barely human that in almost every encounter they're spattered with it in some small or large amount. I can understand the Mersault face thing though. That KCorp juice is getting to him. His shoulders (and Rhino's) are probably just the oversized shoulder pads that more ceremonial armors tend to use though, so I let that part slide.
3. BL's being in that ranking is a bit more fair since I know it's based on Sprite art now. So you're good on that front personally.
4. Yeah, that's fair. I mostly posted that since I was mostly looking at the parts of the outfit separately, rather than the whole of how it was put together. Now that you've pointed it out though, I do actually agree more.
5. I think the reason I like the Moddles so much is because I count their tattoos as part of their drip. The chains, while not 'golden' as some people would call them, are probably like that because of the rust from all the blood when they beat someone to a pulp. So maybe they were at one point like Ricardo, but now they've been sullied. (And judging by the people's reactions... they're going to get a bit more bronze with yours)
7. While the outfit is plain, I'm glad you at least boosted it beyond what it was. Sometimes plain can be drip, y'know?
6... Listen, this will take some explaining. While I do understand the confusion as to why I lumped all 3 together, it's because those 3 in particular are the only EGO outfits I questioned the placement of.
For context:
MBOutis is top tier, as they should be. FoxHeath, while they are great, is... not exactly in the most dripping state, even with all the rain from Sunshower. Talisman is... Meh? I love most of the EGO IDs, but the Talisman outfits would be lower without the actual Talismans IMO. Sloshmael needs their own tier... 2 down from Drowning.
As for the actual 3 mentioned:
Don is weird, because the fluff doesn't really get translated over well compared to the art, so I guess it's more understandable. I'd at least put her in the lower C tier personally.
RegretFaust is fair. While I am a Guilty Gear fan, I can understand people not liking belts on top of belts, and Regret doesn't really have the best outfit (or weapon) look overall from LobCorp.
Now look... I know we all miss Yuri, but that outfit of hers and LobRemFaust is not comparable to the BL IMO. I'd agree with bottom of B Tier, but not mid-B-Tier where she is now.

Drip isn't one singular thing. That's why it can both be true that Spicebush Yi Sang's plain white and greys are good to give a stark contrast to the bright yellow leaves while Middle Don's garishly clashing purple/yellow/brown/white is good as an expression of the Middle's obnoxious style. Personally, I think Suncliff is the least dripped out ID, at least going by sprite alone. Bland, shapeless garment, a palette that's muddy which fits but doesn't make it good. Even if he is literally dripping.
The only right opinion is Der Shooty Outis in the top.

Considering the whole point of the middle is their drip, yes it is bothersome seeing someone say they lack it. they very specifically capture that BDSM gymbro/thug asthetic asians do. at the very least i'd put them over warp, maybe not cinq. cinq hats are cool
As a fan of the N Corp IDs, who thinks their armor is pretty cool...I actually can't fault you for not liking their drip mainly due to the blood, that, is a pretty fair point. Like, if you walk into a fashion show covered in blood, people aren't going to praise you for your style, they're calling the police on you. The wax seals, those I feel give them style, but hey, still can't judge you too harshly for that. Also, fair that you put N Meursault high above the others, his cape _is_ pretty cool, and yeah, N Sinclair being a parallel of Base Sinclair _is_ super sick. Fun fact, even his animations mirror Base Sinclair's, it's so cool.
(Edited this part in after I posted, saw you said in another comment you don't like their style of armor. I feel it's out of place in the setting...which in turn makes it better, hahah. Like, you've got a modern day conventional setting, and here come these medieval knights in full body armor, it's kinda funny, heheheh. And like, the fact that it's full body armor, actually highlights their hypocritical nature. Like, they care about the "purity of humanity"...yet they cover their whole bodies in metal anyway. It's thematic, and thematic drip gets bonus points in my book. Still, if you don't like the style of armor they've got, that's still a fair point, so i can't really fault you too hard for it either.)
Also actually, fair point about the LCB Sinners having different ways of wearing their outfits, never really stopped to think about that. It's a neat little detail, and, I can see why you like some of their styles more than others.
And while I think Blade Lineage are pretty cool, yeah, can't really fault you for thinking they're kinda plain. They are samurai though, so that does give them some coolness factor. So, high B actually does make sense for them, yeah.
... *_However_* , there are some opinions of yours, that I simply can't abide by, heheheh:
First off, stop bullying Don for her shoes, they are fine. Truth be told, I hadn't initially noticed that the shoes were a throughline for all the Dons, and, now that I know that they are, I like the Don IDs even _more_ , so thank you for pointing them out, heheh. (Fun fact, N Corp. Don has the shoes too, they're under the armor. Her Uptie Story mentions how she wears them that way. Initially thought she was the only Don who had them on, til' you pointed them out.) I like that it's a bit of personality that's added to each of her ID's, like Ryoshu's sword. And like...they look just fine to me, personally.
And speaking of Don, Lantern Don is cool, and I like her too. I mean, as you don't like the blood and gunk on other IDs, I guess I can't fault you for disliking her for the spit-goo on her many fangs. But like, the actual outfit, I think is cool, and it's also hecking neat how she has the Gifts of Meat Lantern, Void Dream and Fragment of the Universe. (Though upon looking at her sprite, you, can't ever actually see Fragment of the Universe's Brooch in it? It's always covered by her arm or the hammer, or it's not visible due to perspective, and even when she's facing the opposite direction, the game just, mirrors the sprite so it's still not visible. So, fair that the Brooch isn't factored, since you're going by sprites. Still, my point stands based on the horns and teeth.) Essentially, her design doesn't _need_ to be, like, cohesive and such. She's essentially "that lucky Agent from Lob Corp who ended up getting a ton of gifts early on, so they became one of your favorites". That specific design she's got, evokes those vibes, (and I feel her Uptie Story confirms that's what they were going for, with how she's worked on various Abnormalities,) which is why she looks like that. Her design's a mishmash, but it actually _adds_ to her charm rather than detracting from it. It's essentially, Full Gremlin Don. And I think the fact that this Don, _has_ the shoes, is actually a neat touch, considering, this is Lob Corp, that's not part of her E.G.O. gear, yet she's wearing it anyway. Adds to the gremlin charm.
G Corp Outis, I feel is too low, though I suppose it, depends on if you're factoring animations. You did say it's mainly the Idle Sprites, so, that's fair. But like...she attacks by yelling at foes, it's neat. She never actually even touches her enemies, her Skills are all just yelling commands to her allies, dealing Blunt damage from presumably the sound waves, or her foes having a heart attack from being yelled at. Her Skill 3 also reveals she's got some neat tendrils in her back, that's cool. And like, her Skill 1 is a Pierce Skill...solely because she points at her enemy while yelling at them, come on, that's _amazing_ , you cannot convince me otherwise.
Middle IDs...I personally like them, and I feel a lot of their charm comes from how their outfits are...how do I say this without ending up in the Book of Vengeance...boldly unique, they make a statement by wearing them. They say "We wear what we want, and we've earned that right due to our power. Challenge us on it, and face the consequences.". The fact that their outfits are like that, while they have the views they do over them, makes the whole thing better, you know? (Also I personally think the chains and glowing tattoos are cool but that doesn't have to do with the point I'm making. Also they have a _sick_ soundtrack, which while it isn't _directly_ a part of their drip, I feel it _enhances_ their drip. Again though, not my main point.)
Also, with Spicebush Yi Sang, I agree his outfit is plain...but that's actually to his drip's _benefit_ . Hear me out, the main thing his design has going for it, is the flowers, right? The vibrant yellow they've got. If the rest of his design, was just as colorful and flashy...then it'd drown out those flowers. He's wearing muted colors, to draw attention to those flowers, to make them a focal point. As such, I feel that his outfit, makes sense. ...Also I personally like the branches and such, but, I won't fault you for not liking those, despite how cool I think they are, personally.
And finally...Mariachi Sinclair in C Tier!? The man deserves _at least_ low B, and I'd personally place him higher than that myself. It's one of the most stylish IDs in the game, he _rocks_ that sombrero, when he attacks he bashes his foes with the maracas on beat, even stopping before or after attacks just to shake them, it's fabulous. Also come on, he deserves this, you know how bad he is in combat, drip is his specialty, give him the win in the category he rightfully earned it in.
...But in the end, this is all simply a matter of opinion, and I can't force you to like stuff that I do, heheheh. Likewise, I bear no ill will towards you for having different opinions than me on these things. I still think you're pretty cool, ESGOO, heheheh. (Besides, I agree with most of your S Tier choices, (Pirate Gregor truly _is_ the best ID in terms of drip,) and most of A, myself. It's mainly, C and below I have problems with, heheh.)
I actually like G Corp Outis. I like the horns more than Reindeer for some reason, and a little bit of blood is character IMO. And Spicebush's yellow flowers are really pretty, and Heathmael's pants are a nice shade IMO. Aside from that... I think I largely agree with your assessments, and it's an opinion-based thing anyways. Cheers!
