Nice video.... I’m from Pune and just been to Mangalore 2 weeks ago. Me and my friend went on a two wheeler (Suzuki Access). We took a halt at Yellapur, while going and while coming back. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mangalore. My hotel was located at Pumpwell opposite to Karnataka bank. Enjoyed an ice cream call “Gadbaad”
@@ranjituchil7650 Unfortunately our stay was only for 3 days. My friends from Mangalore told me the same that there are too many places to explore in Mangalore. Thanks and good to hear from you.
Hi Ranjith.. we are planning to drive down to Mangalore from Chandigarhl via Pune. Could you please help me to get have safe journey with my wife. I need to know certain things like the road conditions from Pune to Mangalore . Secondly which will be the best route to travel directly to Mangalore as we don't want any pit stops in between
Hi Ambareesh, Road conditions are fine from Pune till Hubli via NH4 with some patches till Kolhapur where construction activities are ongoing. If you are going non stop then you can drive non stop till Hubli bypass which connects NH4 to Hubli-Karwar road. Another option is Kittur bypass which is a shorter route going through Dandeli but it goes through many small villages until Haliyal after which it's a good drive till Yellapur. My recommendation is to start at dawn from Pune and reach Mangalore by evening around 7-8. Happy driving!
Hi Sudhir, The best option is to take the wider and easy to drive option from Hubli bypass which connects NH4 to Hubli-Karwar road. But if you have a robust vehicle take the option from Kittur bypass which is a shorter route going through Dandeli. The second option will also save you 2 toll fares. Overall toll would be around 450-500 mostly from Shivapur to Dharwad in case you take option1. Rest of the toll would be in Karavali from Kundapur to Surathkal which can be upto 120.
I drove down non-stop all the way. Have been going up and down this route for past 4-5 years. This was an all day journey, started at 5 am from Pune and reached Mangalore around 7:30 pm. Have done overnight trips as well but very tough and risky to drive all night. I suggest taking the day option with 3 breaks of at least 45 minutes each to keep yourself fresh and motivated.
@@jobbyvarghese4246 It depends on which route you take to reach Yellapur. The wider road and easy to drive option would be from Hubli bypass which connects NH4 to Hubli-Karwar road. But if you have a robust off-roader then you take the option from Kittur bypass which is a shorter route going through Dandeli. The second option will also save you 2 toll fares.
