Back before GPS days when speedometers were based on wheel circumference, I hacked into my friend's computer and changed his wheel circumference to be super-low, so his speed would read 25 km/h when he is really going 30 km/h. I went over to my buddies bike and asked him if he could carry my bottle for me, and without letting him hold it, I put it in his bottle holder. Obviously if I handed it to him, he would have noticed immediately. It wasn't until around the 3rd hill climb when I asked him to hand it to me, he just went, "Wait...WHAT THE HELL!" and we all started laughing. It was glorious. Poor guy was carrying about 1.5kg of sand, haha!
The three guys are cleary the Top Gear of cycling! You should make an hour-long special where you have to buy vintage bikes and ride a tour through a beautiful country with funny challenges!

I think my most devious track was when i was diagnosed with anemia i was prescribed testosterone, iron, b12 injections and inhalers. Within 2 weeks i was beating even my fastest mates up the climbs!
heard a story of someone doing the fill tires with water trick to a coworker at a shop. He didn't realize until 2 months later whaen he got a puncture and water was spuing everywhere

Hi, that's a great idea, we'll add that to the list. Sorry to hear that you took a spill, it does take time to rebuild confidence, but there is no shame in going back to basics and practicing cornering skills until you feel better.
Team601 I am more of a mountain biker, but I have crashed on the road before too, and I have had my share of motorcycle crashes as well. It is definitely something kind of tough to shake off immediately. Just keep in mind that confidence is lost quickly and heals slowly after a big crash. As cliche as it may sound, it is essential you keep a positive attitude and manage your expectations. It is okay not to get out and shred super fast after a crash. Set some attainable performance goals for yourself ( like going back to basics) and use those as stepping stones to get back on top. Cheers and best of luck & speedy recovery!
For me I just don't try to looks for leaves and shit on the road when cornering and I don't buy cheap parts. then you can usually know that you'll be safe unless it's not your fault. nothing you can do about that then
The saddle height one is good, but my preferred method is to just loosen the bolt or release a bit so that it slowly slides down under the rider's weight over time.
An old trick you missed. At a cafe stop shift your mates gears to the lowest cog at the back. Then click the shift lever until the derailleur is ready to drop to the highest cog. Undo the quick release lever. Watch the wheel jam against the rear chain stay and listen for the loud crunch! This can also be employed when you cafe stop in a dodgy area for any would be thieves. For added theft prevention undo the brakes. Thief should lose control and fall to the ground wondering why such an expensive bike would be so slow. At this point you can kick the sh@$ t out of them with your carbon shod feet! They won't try it again.
The craftiest one I have found is to install another another magnetic sensor on the wheel. It plays with the feedback on the display and people start noticing it 10 mins into the ride. But it's too late to stop.
While lowering seat height can be hilarious, don't do it to someone who has paid for a bike fit. But if their a strava hunter then fill their seat tube with metal ball bearings, adds a lot of weight, and won't damage anything

I can't believe you did not go for the sand in the frame. The club I used to ride for, naming no names, a couple of the lads over the course of a few months added sand to a club mates winter frame. The bike ended up being 5-6 kilos heaver! Trouble was, he was flying by May on his carbon frame!!!!

Hahahahahaha Another ones you might consider are: -stuffing a secondary bottle with sand -putting a considerably amount of iron spheres in the saddle bag -very slowly, stealing Matt Stephens hair brush so he cannot comb his hair while riding -twisting the saddle a little bit left or right -lowering the tire pressure around 10-15 psi just to make it smoother and have more contact with the road
loosening the seat clamp is the best prank you can do to someone on a bike, slighty loosen it so that as soon as they hit a small bump the seat falls down against the frame

Be careful with the water in the tires, do it too often and they'll only get stronger and faster than you.

I trained all summer with water in the tires. I am now flying thru the trails. 27.5 x 3.0 takes a a lot of water.
