That's the most animated I've seen Donna😊. They put on one of the best sound and light shows in the business. David Gilmore playing the steel guitar without finger picks was awesome. I was at the Knebworth concert a once in a lifetime experience. Only thing that came close was when Jean Michele Jarre played London Docklands. He performed on a floating stage. Had 3 world war 2 anti aircraft searchlights shining up to a height of almost a mile the beams forming a pyramid shape above the stage and played an instrument he designed a "laser harp" he wore mirrored gloves that deflected the laser beams over the heads of the audience. Amazing performance by "The Floyd" and an equally amazing reaction!❤😊
Kudos to you ladies! I am 69 years old and have been listening to Floyd for over 50 years. I was there, it was indescribable. I am glad you two appreciate the genius that is Pink Floyd.

What is so awesome about that stage lighting is that was 30 years ago unbelievable for that time is still incredible looking today I made a delivery to Bobby Dodd Stadium here in Atlanta the day they had the stage set up and they were still setting up equipment I was around the backstage area and it was amazing how big it was and all of the equipment They carried with them on this tour

Those two boars (pigs) are a reference to the Animals album - which is worth listening to. When Lulu comes back, the three of you should head into a darkened room with whatever drinks/snacks you fancy and watch the ENTIRE Pulse concert on dvd in one sitting (ut the original mix, not the re-edited version). It will last for a little over 3 hours but will seem much less than that. You will not regret it - it will be better than just pulling track at random from it.
I watch every reaction you guys do. I listened like you do , with enthusiasm and wonder. Every genre of rock and eclectic one-offs as well. From 1965-1980 I immersed myself in those areas. FYI, check out Wishbone Ash "Midnight Dancer" (studio) and "Silver Ladies".(studio) Also Widespread Panic with "Suprise Valley". Y'all are adorable. I was so fortunate to see Pink Floyd build The Wall in 1980. Lucky as hell. I've seen some outstanding concerts - bout the only one I wish I'd had a chance to take in was Sting.
one of my mates went to that concert and he went to the hotel where PF were staying and he borrowed a full size figure (like a stuffed doll) of pink !! which was in the foyer ....he has still got it today,he even took it to Manchester a few months ago in a limo with his mates to watch Roger Waters 😂😂 ....he also went to watch Peter gabriel in Liverpool and when he done lay your hands on me and lies on top of the audience he also borrowed one of Peter's shoes he was performing I 😂, quite a character 😂,the pair of you were very lucky to go to that Wall concert 👍😎

Pulse was the name of the concert, which spawned a real cool CD box set which came with a flashing red light. It also was followed by the concert video (DVD) which you are watching.

Absolutely wrong. Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall are all massively better. Meddle was nothing but an early preview of the greatness they WOULD become.

Last September, I saw The Australian Pink Floyd Show, a Pink Floyd tribute band that is perhaps the most faithful to the original band's sound. While they were playing this song, instead of pigs, a giant kangaroo appeared on stage.
I was at the last night of this show, in the balcony beside the speaker towers the pigs appeared on top of. One of These Days closed out the first half of the night before the interval. Those inflatable pigs were hyuuge. From our position we could see something being inflated in the gloom on top of the speakers, but we couldn't tell what. When the lights came up on them everyone went wild. At the end of the song, they just pushed them off the towers and let these massive inflatable pigs drop to the floor beside the stage.
FYI - The composition is instrumental except for the spoken line from drummer Nick Mason, "One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces." And that's how you make bacon.
They should have called this song: "THE BEAST!" BECAUSE IT'S IN YO FACE!! Please give another great song by Floyd called "One Slip" I believe you'll enjoy it! Thanks for sharing ladies!
I was at the Earl's Court gig and it was an excellent show but there were loads of extra musicians on stage so it would be surprising if it didn't sound great. At the time no one was really bothered by the recordings from the show, which were only called PULSE on the cd . The consensus was that we didn't really need note perfect versions of the studio albums. TH-cam has given them a new lease of life.
Saw them perform this on their last tour in 1994 in an outdoor stadium. It was pouring rain that night, which added a nice element of sinister intensity to the pigs and their floodlit eyes. And really hope you get to the live video of "On the Turning Away" from "The Delicate Sound of Thunder"/1988 performance (that's one Lulu should see!)
Sounds like you may have been at Rice Stadium in Houston Texas for that. I was at that performance and it was absolutely incredible. Almost like Mother Nature was barging in and saying, "I want to be a part of this show too"
@@olripper2700 haha, actually it was at the now-defunct Foxboro Stadium in MA (replaced by Gillette Stadium, home of the NE Patriots)...after the band opened up with "Astronomy Domine," Gilmour said (with his dry humor) "Hullo, Sunny Foxborough!" :D I was in my senior year of college, it was either my formal senior year dance or see Pink Floyd live...the choice was clear, and absolutely no regrets. :)

A little true story. I was at this concert in Earls Court, London, I was seated on the right-hand side almost directly below the pig and I just happened to look up just as that thing seemed to come flying out of the wall, I nearly had a heart-attack!
Was going to see it in here in California But never made it😕 The Greatest regret in life lol….. also didn’t they go like 12-14 straight Sell Out @ Earls Court there ? That place is Huge right 18-20k🤔

The Pig nick named Algie, was first flown over Battersea Power Station for the photo shoot for the animal's album cover and has appeared in some form or other at nearly every pink Floyd concert since., Algie escaped during the photo shoot when his mooring broke they had to warn aircraft coming into London's Heathrow airport he was recaptured in a field in Kent.
The spoken words were recorded by Nick Mason (drummer) and played around with. The song is a bit of a dig at a BBC radio DJ Jimmy Young who used to babble a LOT 🤣🤣 Try What Do You Want From Me from David Gilmour's Live in Pompeii 2016. Another favourite Pink Floyd song 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I've come right back I though t you might like it 😂,for a minute I thought your mum turned into Lulu with her awesomes etc...😂,for all that goes on in the video ,that bass is 👌,and even David on the slide gave the audience a couple of smirks ,its all too easy for them ...try run like hell ,its the last song of the night or sorrow or just the whole damn concert 👍👍
The biggest difference from watching a Floyd video and seeing them live is you're missing out on sharing the amazing experience with 60,000-70,000 of your closest friends next to you. Cheers....

The Pig nick named Algie, was first flown over Battersea Power Station for the photo shoot for the animal's album cover and has appeared in some form or other at nearly every pink Floyd concert since., Algie escaped during the photo shoot when his mooring broke they had to warn aircraft coming into London's Heathrow airport he was recaptured in a field in Kent.
