One night, he talked to me and said "I found this video of a lady teaching Russian. But its weird, she's really quiet. I have to turn it all the way up to understand anything she says." My dad accidentally introduced me to ASMR

My father is Russian but since my mother is latin american we always spoke Spanish at home. Since my dad didn't want to curse in front of us he would only curse in Russian cause he knew we wouldn't understand. Now the result is that the only Russian words I know are bad words, I just don't know what they mean... His favorite bad words were something like: Idikibinimats....what ever that means!
He says : "idi k ebeni materi", that means "go away" but in a rude form. The tête-à-tête translation is "go to bich mother", but you father doesn't mean your mother, of course, it's just an expression used by people when they are tired and don't want to argue. By the way it's not a beautiful word, so try to avoid it:)))

When I was in high school I had a Russian exchange student friend. I learned how to say a few phrases, but my fav was "какая сегодня пагода?" (How's the weather today?) I'm finally getting back into learning again and this video is the perfect background for reading Russian. Спасибо!
this is a perfect asmr arrangement- the voice, the chalk and eraser sounds, the hand motions, the countdown- a nice gentle crescendo. the blackboard is good because it provides powerful trigger sounds and also reduces the brightness. i also like underlining the words using the pencil eraser. the overall progression is very lean, it flowed well. and i learned something once i managed to watch the whole thing.
I´d like to have a teacher like her in order to learn some Russian, yesterday I bought "RUSSIAN FOR DUMMIES", and I hope a convination of this videos and what I learn form the book will help me to speak some russian by this summer. I miss these Russia videos. It's not a culture you hear about very often (at least where I live) and I find it so fascinating.

When I was in high school I had a Russian exchange student friend. I learned how to say a few phrases, but my fav was "какая сегодня пагода?" (How's the weather today?) I'm finally getting back into learning again and this video is the perfect background for reading Russian. Спасибо!

this is a perfect asmr arrangement- the voice, the chalk and eraser sounds, the hand motions, the countdown- a nice gentle crescendo. the blackboard is good because it provides powerful trigger sounds and also reduces the brightness. i also like underlining the words using the pencil eraser. the overall progression is very lean, it flowed well. and i learned something once i managed to watch the whole thing.
