Looks great 🤩I will never not be jealous of these outdoor conditions to be able to grow all those plants in the garden 😂 commenting from the gloomy and cold UK 😉
Fun tour of Tim’s garden! Thank you. It should be a given that us viewers would have made different choices. We have different tastes and preferences. But that is the value of seeing other gardens. Others do things differently and that is how we get ideas. Living in a different climate, there are many things that do not work for me. I used to have cannas, but I have had to give up on them as the Japanese beetles also like them and just turn the leaves into Swiss cheese.
I know people love to do things as naturally and organically as possible, and I’m no different, but I’m not fully organic in my methods. For pest-prone plants, such as Canna with Japanese beetles and mealy bugs, I would absolutely give them a powdered systemic insecticide every couple of months. In fact, it’s one of the most effective things against all pests, for houseplants and outdoor plants. Literally, you can name a bug and this stuff protects against it! Gnats, mealies, aphids, scale, ants, beetles, whitefly, everything. And if you read the label, it’s actually not super toxic, and not environmentally dangerous. I mean, be smart, don’t dump it down a drain or let the water run off. That’s a waste of the product, anyway, and it gradually stops working because of the act of watering, flushing it out. So it’s important to bottom water or not let it run out. But even so, it’s not lethal to fish, mammals, etc. I use Bonide Systemic insect control.
The garden is absolutely stunning, and actually has some points of interest and jungle vibes, and before it was so dull. I think the smaller the space the more effort you need to make to make it more cosy and usable.. that’s a massive factor as well as architectural. Looks fab. Well done 👏🏼
Your very talented at seeing a vision and bringing it to flourishen, you definitely trust the process ...Tim's garden looks amazing now all you need to do is find a way to be less heavy handed when handling the foliage reduce the kaladeral damage 😅👌
WOW! It looks amazing and so lush! Yall did such a good job. Trusting the process came through. It looks like the alocasias might eat Bailey and Tim soon. Loving these updates and looking forward to more.
Looks amazing! I think the mystery succulent is a ripple jade. And thank you for confirming my compulsion of cutting ugly leaves! Great videos and Happy New Year! ❤❤🎉🎉
Great job, the garden looks amazing. Last year you encouraged me to plant Canna and I was delighted with how it grew. I can't wait for spring when I can plant them again. I also talked a friend into planting them and this year her husband told her to plant more because he loves them. Thanks for the inspiration 😀😀😀
Thanks Jan. very nice to see a catch up of Timmys garden. It looks beautiful. Like you said it has grown so much since you and Tim planted it. Look forward to the 12 month video. Miss Bailey is lovely. Full of energy and a good girl to not chew on the plants you cut off. ☺️🐶
I can't believe how good it looks Just from first glance, im holding out for TV viewing so i can get a better scope of things but i can see everything looks amazing 👏
Beautiful garden! Does the garden get any shade at all? Been aiming for something like this but its so difficult while living in Puerto Rico without proper shading.
I hate to tell you this, palms, once the top is gone, are like a philodendron with no growth nodes. After cyclones the topless palms become either staghorn and bromeliad poles or get cut down. Impossible for them to sprout. Great growth there at Tim's place!
I think everything looks wonderful and inviting. I sure wish I could get away with planting tropicals outside here in the Pacific Northwest USA but it can get to -6c even tho it hasn’t dipped below 0c here this year, yet. I do plant perennials for the bees tho.
Tradescantia, which I also call oyster plant, is very easy to propagate as it clumps and easy to break apart. The seeds from the flowers also make this very nice to use as a ground cover and will even choke out all the weeds! I have it around the coping of my pool and as a boarder plant in my front garden. It can get a bit invasive but shallow roots make it very easy to stay on top of or literally just pull out. Loves shade or part sun the best but will grow in sun too just not as pretty. Can be a house plant too. Very drought tolerant.
Wow, that looks sooo good 😍 Btw, the slug looks similar to a so called "Schnegel" in Germany. Apparently, they are eating slugs and their eggs, so it's good to have them in the garden. But don't know if this is one or just a regular Aussi slug 😅
I love to see this progress as well as your garden! You should maybe try landscaping business before you look into going back to your corporate job! As you have a small portfolio already haha Working under someone! Hell no! 👎 be your own boss like you always been ❤️🙏
Ciao: Amazing new growth...love to see how it is thriving...with your input, of course! A question...any danger of Sydney Funnel-web spiders?? We see the horror stories of these dangerous garden-loving creatures...have you ever seen one as you work? Thanks for the update!
ok ozzie question - how do you manage snails? and where are all the spiders? i feel like everytime i add a plant to my garden the spiders move in in 10 mins! 😂
why is that 2 tree so clean thou , i would let some philo start growing on it , lol , also i want to your verru grow outdoor , see if still produce the same leafs

You are so casual in saying " some mealy bugs on the Cebu bleu"... love it. Watching you, pests just don't freak me out any more lol
They're just part of the journey, right? 😊 happy growing :)
Looking real noice!!! Other people need to worry about their own gardens and stop meddling in Tim's. 🤓😎💚💚💚💚💚
Hehe thanks :)!
Both the garden and Bailey have grown beautifully.
Oh my goodness I can’t believe there was so much growth! It looks stunning. Can’t wait to see how year 2 goes ❤

Thank you:)
Wow. What a beautiful and Inviting space.
Wish I had a Tim. I'd love to be let loose on all my friends gardens 😂
He’s one in a million !!! :)
5:54 looks like some variety of oyster plant, Tradescantia spathacea. I grow a big pot of it indoors. I love the purple underside of the leaves.
Common name 'Moses-in-the-Boat', too
Tim's garden is so incomplete without Tim. Tim is urgently needed to spice this channel up
I discovered your channel too late! I love your garden❤❤❤ your video are very cool, I remembered when I been there in Sydney. Bonjour from France

@@sydneyplantguyif the top of the palm didnt get completely destroyed it can sprout again , but yeah the top is their only growth node
@@sydneyplantguyThe ‘stick’😂😂
Love it so calming greetings from my garden in ft Lauderdale I'm lucky we never get too cold in south Florida so my plants thrive all year long
@@stanleystone49oh my gosh sooo random. But how’s the snow down there right now? How is your garden?👀 stay warm🤗 also LOVE Ft. Lauderdale

Arms are looking 🔥 I swear gardening is my arm workout
Hehe thanks :) I’m pretty sure it’s from the gym but gardening is definitely a good workout too hehe :)
Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing. Do you think this type of garden would work in a coastal area in Melbourne?
Muito lindo 😍

wooohhhh wow
The plant from Tim’s neighbor looks like Moses-in-the-cradle, also known as Tradescantia spathacea.
Ciao: Amazing new growth...love to see how it is thriving...with your input, of course! A question...any danger of Sydney Funnel-web spiders?? We see the horror stories of these dangerous garden-loving creatures...have you ever seen one as you work? Thanks for the update!
I’ve never seen one but yes they can be around ! Best to wear gloves when gardening :)
Is the garden mostly in the shade? Nice garden
No it’s north facing so very sunny
Do you have a few recommendations for plants for me in cairns
Purple backed leaves plant is Rhoeo
Gratis progress :)
Do you have an alocasia care video?
working on one :) up until now I haven't had the best success with alocasias unless I just chuck them outside :)
Wonderful growth, garden looks fantastic 🤩 , but c'mon stick! Did you tell it it's on borrowed time? It needs to do something real soon !
I gave it a final warning before I left … 🤞🤞🤞
@sydneyplantguy 🤣🤣
Bravo! What a beautiful garden 🪴
Ahhaha the STICK
I was waiting for it
Nothern atmosphere pots with Alocasias are just big big failure in comparison 🤡
i love
ok ozzie question - how do you manage snails? and where are all the spiders? i feel like everytime i add a plant to my garden the spiders move in in 10 mins! 😂
Honestly not many spiders in his garden :) and we just out snail pellets in the garden (the fence is keeping Bailey out so no concern here :))
Nematodes, spread them once and it works for months. Best solution out there
why is that 2 tree so clean thou , i would let some philo start growing on it , lol , also i want to your verru grow outdoor , see if still produce the same leafs
i swear only looking at the plants
I don't think so 😅😂
