I too have a problem with losing models to a diorama. As I was watching I was thinking "Use a flight stand Josh, trust your instincts." Well done, and you can swap that model for any other you may have such as dragons, giants, or a Frost Grave scene. Loved the intro. May the Fourth be with you.
I've got some oil paints on order, cant wait to try doing an oil wash, gonna give it a blast on my queue of Knights! Love the diarama, it looks fantastic. I never would have thought of using bark as rocks, but its really good.
Everytime you said hoth I changed it to Hoff in my head and made it rather silly. Love the dio dude, looks like your playing rebels now with that speeder 😉

Happy May the 4th! I hate to say it but..... you could have gotten the Snowspeeder model from Revell. It's the same size but "a better model" because the cockpit comes with interior and clear plastic... costs less then a tenner . I have both at home and they are interchangeable aside from the Revell model having more parts and no slot for the flight stand. :)
As an alternative and if any of your neighbours have bark chipping on their front or rear garden areas, ask them if they have any spare? If not after its dark outside nip into theirs and nick a handful, hoping they do not have an overly large dog that does not like you and barks and growls a lot. Alternatively there are garden centres that sell bark chippings and usually per chance a bag gets burst, so help thyself to a pocket full and remember at checkout to reveal it.

Tip for faster cleaning. Aluminium foil on the palette and you can just throw it away when you're done. (:

After trying this, I’m looking at the x wing and millennium falcon model kits to try these paints on more. Defo be fun to try.

The stuff from GGS comes already dry and sorted so it’s more convenient for me personally but each to their own :)
