I would like to see the video you mentioned if some art of creature in the black hole. Your work never fails to amaze me. You make everything look so easy and your results are always fantastic. Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thanks for the video, I have been Airbrushing for 27 years and there is always something you can pick up, even though your videos are for beginners...tips tricks ans reaffirming past knowledge
Paul from NB Canada I really like how ypu are showing us how to paint beyond "Dots and Daggers" beginner stuff but realize not all of us are quite reqdy for full skulls and true fire. Thanks for showing us the in between painting!!
So if I was doing something like this on a black helmet do you still do drop shadows? Or how do you do that? Great video, appreciate all the time you take helping us new guys learn!
Great vid,Nothing like needing 10 fingers on one hand to hold down template, very informative on how to repair mistakes, especially when masks don't work as intended.
i enjoy watching these video last couple days waiting on my stencils i ordered going to give it a go with some mini skulls on my new putter going to make it Two ball with skulls like callaway..i never done nothing but fishing lures but i use stencils even doing that so i know a little what i am doing
Looks cool. The Thing is, Im not seeing which way the "light " is coming from, based on your shadowing on the tear sections. The "drop shadows" show the light being around 12-1 o clock (slightly overhead too), but the inside the tears shadows do not concur with that suggestion. Maybe most confused by the white "shadow" on the very inside of each tear. I would think the very inside of tears would be the darkest, as they are shadowed from the light..?.. Can you explain please? Thanks.
i`m tilting by watching that paper lift off haha .. glad i`m not the one painting this piece of art :D when you where masking up the middle .. you should have gone fineline tape .. save you so much xtra work
im a real newbie to airbrushing, watched you videos and love them all. im still practicing the rivets and will start on this one soon. my question is, what do you mean by "protecting your work with a covering of base coat" when you finish a section?
would be cool to see a engine piston sticking out of the hole looking like the motor just blew up? Just a thought...love the videos and gives me hope for my projects?
I wanted to know how to do this on a piece im making. Couldn't quite get the effect I was looking for because my center kept falling out of the stencil, duh so stupid not to realize you leave the corners attached. I am using a cutting machine to cut my pieces and it's a pain as you have to make the stencil in a strange way. The machine only sees black and cuts all of it. This is going to absolutely help me there. I'm wanting the canvas to look like a planet is coming through the tear and wanted to add maybe claws like a creature was tearing it open. Would LOVE you to do a video on that. Question, couldn't you just dilute your black to achieve the same effect? I pour paint and air brush a little, I use black in both and I just dilute my paint to break down the color getting the effect im looking for. of course I am adding it to an already saturated color. By the way, thanks for these videos they are really helpful to those of us who dabble but aren't yet proficient experts.
Carsten, loved it!!! This is an awesome video, thanks mate. I’m working on a project (12” diameter steel soldering “bench”) with that same color orange base, I’ve been wracking my brain what to do with it, because there is a 2”x2” racing team shield shaped logo in the center. I was thinking of doing a race car wheel, but have been shying away from that idea because it is just too boring and plain. I even considered a real fire theme, but that too didn’t feel right. The project is a prototype custom one off deal. This has given me an idea to have the logo “blowout” from the center of the disc having blue electric arch streaks emanating from the logo. Thoughts?
I would love to see optical illusion stuff, like the pavement artists, looks like a ladder down a deep hole in the ground. or something that confuses the brain. Cornwall UK
Hey bro thanks mate and appreciate the suggestion 👍🏻 as much as I would love to airbrush Pennywise, it may create issues with ‘fair use’ but an evil clown could definitely be on the cards thanks for the suggestion buddy 🤘🏻
What I need to know is more about paint were to get it were to get those drop bottle and how to mixe it name of paint and reducer quantity use all the details
stupid question, how are you making this so you don't hear your compressor but still hear your airbrush? My compressor is Huge and right at my ear basically, it has a large tank so it doesn't run all the time.
Here's a full size door panel I did a while back giving appearance of a doorway ripped into another universe: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151519844675728&set=a.10151519844635728&type=3&theater
Hi, I have seen your very nice video, but I think you build in a big mistake...over what I not there: there is no depth of that material which is broken! I have no idea how to handle that correctly.... And also my wish, let there come out a scelerton , head outside ... Another hint, because we easy misunderstood in die Easton Germany: when you say you mix transparent white or black, you do NOT take that color what mean ist: you take the transarer Color endcoating lack and mix to than white/Black....that gives a totally other thing for us who uses Schmincke colors
I like the way you continually explain what you are doing as you go. Quite helpful.
There are no mistakes, simply opportunities to be creative
Thx
I appreciate that, glad you are finding the videos helpful 🤩

How would I go about drop shadows on a black back ground?

Yes please a monster or creature crawling out of the hole. Or just peeking out
Do a skull creature climbing out! Please:-)
A skull coming out of the torn metal or like on a helmet showing the carbon fiber.
Did you ever make a video of something crawling out?!
No....but thanks for the reminder 👍🏻🤔

Yes add a creature
I'v got a deep space scene in the middle, going to call it "Houston we have a problem". LOL
