    You helped me decide... i have a Rubicon rear bumper sitting in my garage. Albeit the plastic version i'm still going to swap it onto my sport instead of gutting and replacing the panel on my sport bumper for the second hook. So thanks!!!

    Thanks for the video! It gave me the encouragement to do it to my Overland. Very tedious, but looks great once completed. The bezel P/N you quoted was a perfect fit. Only problem is that I had one of the allen head screws left over with no idea where it could possibly go. My solution was to store it in the circular bin :)

    Great video. I was wondering how all the bumper pieces were put together. I knew there were multiple pieces according to the Mopar diagram, but I wasn't sure how or if you were able to take them apart. You confirmed that they do come apart and snap back together as long as you are careful with the plastic. Just ordered the bezel and additional tow hook. Thanks a bunch!

    I like the mod. Might have to do it to my wife's JT. Definitely have to be careful with the plastic. It CAN break! I got a Gladiator front bumper and was changing out the front tow hook to the red ones. Also wanted to change the fog light bezel from the silver, Sport one to the dark, Gladiator one. Guess what....Broke one of the dark, Gladiator trim bezels. Started removing it from the "wrong end" and snap. Oh well. A good reminder to be careful. Also, hot versus cold days can affect the plastic trim.

    Yeah the paint on the hook hadn’t cured. Hate it when paint is dry to the touch but still soft enough to take an impression. I started a board for the bed yesterday. I can go back to painting tomorrow after what I painted has time to cure. Yeah I turned it to soon on saw horse got some impressions. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Figure it will take a week of painting and curing.

    • @robmotiveplus
      @robmotiveplus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on how good you are with the cut and how attention to detail you are up close. I've seen a few that were cut and they weren't great😬

    • @davidkoeppen3121
      @davidkoeppen3121 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@robmotiveplus I was looking at the left tow hook on mine and I’m not a big fan of how they did that whole opening. The exposed metal plate looks a little wonky. It looks like they could have made the opening a little smaller and the metal wouldn’t show. I also think if I cut mine I will attach something around the edge to finish it off or add some diamond plate that I’ve got laying around where I could cut the opening and then after attaching the hook finish it with a plate backer on both of them. That would make them look uniform and off-roady!
