Oh my gosh, this was so much fun!!! Thanks for taking us along!! They will taste so good. Your friend was very appreciative. I could handle those waves, not too bad. Great teamwork! Good luck with your surgery. Rest and take care of yourself Brian. You fileted those salmon very nicely. I can almost taste them!! Have a great Sunday. 🌝
Great video! Sorry about your kidney stone and need for surgery. I hope you're recovering well from it. Kidney stones are very painful. I've given birth twice and had kidney stones and I think the stones were the worst. God bless you.
Good to see you putting that new boat to work brother! Glad ya'll had so much fun. If I was in your shoes, I'd damn near be fishing every day I could because I love it so much (or hunting)....lol. God Bless you both and best wishes in your surgery. I have been there many times, and there wasn't a time I wasn't apprehensive. I'll be thinking of you brother. Get well soon.
Great catch. I’m surprised you were able to go with the pain you’re in. I had a kidney stone once and it was worse then natural birth (no drugs) of my 3 kids. I only had a tiny one that passed on its own. Can’t even imagine the pain you must be in. Great to see you driving the boat Diana it was a rare treat.
Yeah it was definitely sucky. I was just telling Diana that one had two of the most painful things anyone can experience all within the last 5 months. 😂 Diana did a great job keeping us in the fish.
My doctor says I have two stones right now, both sitting out of the way (slowly growing), doc said one is about 3mm (that’ll hurt), and the other is about 10mm (I expect that one to kill me when it decides to move)…. Don’t drink energy drinks! They’re bad for you!
@@AnAlaskaHomestead yeah, depending on how big they are….. I’ve had both kidney and gall stones; my last stone (gall) was only 2mm, and that one took me to pain level nine, if that 10mm stone moves, I expect to die or wake up a year later from a coma.
What a wonderful day…!! That was awesome. Your fishing I’m making blackberry jam today. Good luck with your surgery.🙏 You guys have a wonderful week..!!
Hey there friends, so glad you got out and caught some. It reminded me of the days my husband and I also went fishing and caught some handlining. I love when they fight back! Makes the adventure so worthwhile. Sure wish I could be holding a rod right now. Thank you for sharing. I'll be praying for you Thursday, praying your surgeon meets no obstacles and is a success. Diana, hang in there, I'm praying for you too. So much this past year. God Bless you.

Its always fun to be out on the water but when the fishing is this good its a blast thanks for sharing and reviving the memories for me. God Bless
Awesome video as usual. I'm not a salmon eater yet but their are so many kinds. ??? Maybe watching y'all will help me figure it out. I hope the health issues are settled soon for y'all. In the mean time I'm loving Alaska from Florida.
Great video! I’ll be back in Alaska in a week, hopefully everything goes right and I get the cabin dried in and roofed this year. Wish me luck, my slow, crippled azz is gonna need it!
@@AnAlaskaHomestead yeah, the army and VA really know how to screw up a person’s plans! This time my son is coming for a couple weeks, that should speed things up a bit, and after he goes home my nephew is considering flying up for a week or two, as is an army buddy who has been chomping at the bit to do some halibut fishing after I described the one I caught that I couldn’t even lift off the dock without help…..
I loved our old double eagle boat but it was one bad thing about double eagles the foam floatation they used in the floor if you got a pinhole in your bottom of your boat that foam sucked up the water and does not release it so your boat gets heavier and heavier mine got so heavy I thought the motor was no good again thought I blew up another outboard motor put it in the garage the next morning there was a big puddle of water underneath the boat we were sinking and I didn't even know it had to cut the whole floor out of the boat I have to use a machete to cut out the foam it was so hard to get out of it one good thing though I put in an inboard fuel tank and two side tanks one live tank big tank and then a side tank for ice bucket like beer or whatever and it all drained out the back the boat if you pull the plugs the only problem is is it was just a air pocket it's no foam floatation in it but I never did sink🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂 we had the option of having the chambered pontoons filled with foam. It make for a quieter boat but if you do get a hole you have to remove the foam to weld on it. We left them empty.
@@AnAlaskaHomestead Quieter boat is better yes I think you can get a live tank that bolts onto the back of your boat too I don't know cooler works just as good
Nice catch thanks for the trip. I know you've net fished before, but how often do you do it? Glad your feeling better good luck getting the stint out. Blessings to all. 😊🇺🇲
Great video. Dan is obviously a very good fishing partner. BTW I've done a lot of downrigging like you were doing and I always loosen the drag as the fish gets close to the boat, that way it is less likely for the hook to pull out.
I just want you to know how much I enjoyed this fishing trip what I'd give to be able to fish like that it was absolutely beautiful where you were at but I'd had to take me some medicine to keep from getting sick I see you're doing better since you got over the kidney stone and thanks again for a wonderful day fishing
Ok, so what did you add to the new boat that makes it attract fish like crazy? Surely nobody can consistently find the hot spots that well. Or is there one?
one reason why I put an In floor fuel tank I put an inline 90 horse Merck on a 15 foot double eagle and when we turn the corner when we had the side tanks five gallon tanks one tank was empty the boat just won't flipped over on it my brother in law was hanging over the side of the boat trying to get the boat to come back down so I decided to put a 20 gallon fuel tank in the floor so it wouldn't flip over I put the 90 horse Merck on there for water skiing and knee boarding and I tell you when you floor that boat the only thing left in the water was just the prop I got pictures of it bowed in the air I redid that boat all winter all the gel coat on the top of the boat and the floor was all redone a lot of work Ended up selling it$3500 my dad gave me that boat turned out the guide took it to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and put it in the boat show it was a very nice looking boat by the time I got finished with it
