Nice but in all honesty it would have been better to review the a58 with the a3000 and put them with these lenses against each other as both have almost the same megapixel count
I also have both. It happens that I upgraded my a58 to an a6000 and kept the a58. xD. The a58 has more battery life so it's good to have it as a backup.
Marcos Gomes just read your review - I am confused between Sony a58 and the Nikon d3300. I want to use it for videos. The Nikon has some issue with the auto focus ( as much as I could understand). Would you suggest the a58 for videos? I am a beginner & on a budget.
hi, i saw your photos in flickr. also message you there. was asking there which dslr camera and lens you use in that FBYFL Orange bowl 2014 photo album. hoping you can tell me. adorable captures you have there. just curious. thanks.
@@scottmcmichael6935 I want to shoot documentaries...and I think sony a58 isn't upto it...am I just a noob videographer and greedy for a6400 or am I right?
a6000 anytime! I own an a58 and an a6000. I used the a58 for years with only the kit lens + a 75-300. Last year I bought an a6000. This month I purchasted an 35mm for the a58, to make use of it. The colors of the a58 are MUCH better. But the a6000 kills it overall. And you can adapt almost any lenses on the a6000. If you want to buy AF lens for less $ then go a58, get the 35mm, the 85mm, and other good cheap lenses. The E-mount lenses are expensive!
@@MuhaSore Hi, i need to know what exactly do you mean when you say the colors of a58 are MUCH better? i need to make a decision as i am aiming for compact lens, as i travel more and also treks. i need a good quality images as i am photography enthu as well. its hard to make the decision. a6000 looking tempting with the features !! ( sorry for my bad english)
Get the a6000. It is MUCH better than the a58. I used the a58 for 2 and a half years now and I've been using the a6000 since April. There is NO competition whatsoever in ANY situations. The a6000 should be compared to the a77. And even compared to the a77 the only thing it loses it's in terms of shutter speed. But I don't remember if the buffer of the a6000 can go more FPS than the a77.
Very detailed comparison, thanks a lot for making this!
Thanks for the comparison! I wonder how the sony a6000 will fare against the new version a6300!
Nice job! Very inclusive comparison of the two.
Nice but in all honesty it would have been better to review the a58 with the a3000 and put them with these lenses against each other as both have almost the same megapixel count
Yes there is a difference. But no need to buy a A6000 when you already have a Alpha 58.....
Why
Thanks for the comparison.
Thank you very much for your great work!! Please, could you tell... Does a58 uses avcs video codec or avchd only?
Avchd
Very nice video!!! I have both cameras and i'm very very happy with both.
RICARDO FRANCISCO CRUZ ESCUTIA why do you have both? which situations do you use which camera?

@@RoaleeyRyanVlogs i think nikon better
So can i use adapter lens on a58 and use any lens?
since a6000 has the feature of using adapter to use any kind of lens...
+stanley Narz I know Sony makes A-mount to E-mount adapters for E-mount cameras, but I don't think there are any adapters for the other way around.
for sony a58 you can use minolta lenses.
without adapters
Hey mate what lence should I get for Sony a58 so I can video far distance?
I'm gonna try Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 with that camera.
Muy bien tu video comparando las camaras, yo tengo la a58, y al ver tu video no hay mucha diferencia.

Toll gemacht & Geile Mucke !
Cambia mucho la a37 con la a58?
Which one is better in your oppinion?
+Riley Chila I personally think the a6000 because of the smaller size, higher FPS, and less noise at high ISO.
but no mic input, and no selfie articulated screen. That is crazy...
late reply. but the a6000 is MUCH better than the a58. I have both. Trust me ;)

i like this review. well done.
in low light who is focus better, a6000 or a58?
+rujakandroid I would assume the a6000 since it has more autofocus points. It would really depend more on the maximum aperture of the lens equipped.
the a6000 is much better in low light. But the right lens help a lot.
