- Wecome to Fuseta and A&A Travelling. This unspoilt fishing town is located 20 km east of Faro and is a great introduction to the eastern part of the Algarve coast. Visiting the town and its beaches can be a great daytrip if you wish to experience some of the "local" Algarve many of the more famous coastal towns are lacking. Fuseta has some stunning beaches which are easy to reach and perfect for spending a day on the beach.
The town is easy to get to, by road, bus, train and once you arrive it is easy to get around.
What to do and see in Fuseta?
Walking along the marina, you will find open air restaurants grilling fresh fish close to the small harbour. The restaurants alongside the marina can get busy at peak times, so if you`re planing to have lucnh we recommend you come early. It`s also alongside the marina where you`ll find the various tickets offices for the ferries and boat trips to the Ria Formosa.
-Mercado Municipal
Fuseta`s market is definitely worth visitng. While walking along the marina you will probably see the fisherman unloading their boats, this is where the fish will be heading. It`s from the market where many of the nearby restaurants buy the fish from.
-Praia da Fuseta(Fuseta`s Beach)
It`s the town closest beach. Being a lagoon-side kind of beach, the water is warmer and no waves. This is a great beach for families with young children and is polpular with the locals. There is also a small restaurant on the beach.
-Praia da Ilha da Fuseta(Fuseta Island Beach)
is the beach on the island opposite Fuseta. This is an awesome stretch of sand. In the central area, you`ll find a small bar, sun loungers to rent and well kept facilities. The beach is also lifeguarded during the summer months. There are regular boat services from Fuseta`s marina and Praia da Ilha da Fuseta, costing around 2€ for a return ticket.
-Fuseta or Fuzeta?
Once you arrive, you will probably be surprised, because in the town they use the Names Fuseta and Fuzeta in some of the signs around the town switching between the two spellings. The original
and historical name was "Fozeta" which came from Foz da Eta.

Fuseta was first mentioned during the Portuguese Age of Discovery, when many of the villages fishermen shipped aboard the caravels to the spice routes and expeditions in the Far East.

What a stunning view of Fuseta. The aerial view is captured perfectly with your Drone. The color is just so amazingly lively. I like that caputred walking in the boardwalk. The main street looks relaxing to have coffee in one of the coffee shops there. Life is beautiful indeed .
