Tyler....I'm literally 2 minutes into this video and I'm already so jealous, so envious....so proud too....to see you doing a trip like this with your some and your Dad.
There's NOTHING I wouldn't give to have my son and my late father on a trip like this.
The sarcasm in this is perfect 😂 love it
8 meters of rain, whats that in american
What a great video,This is the stuff why i started watching u to start off with because u were different to other people that do it. Great seeing just your dad, your son and you do this kind of camping back to bacis. Im not really interested in your builds I know other people maybe, but i watch it more so for the exploring u do. Will say it again great vid. Good stuff hope theres more coming
i agree
well said....to many builds here and you tube which are just promos to sell kit for suppliers. These videos are great
Totally agree.
But on the other hand it's his channel and we either watch it or don't.
#tylerthompson you have an awesome family and good luck for Christmas and the future.
#spf4x4
@@spf4x4 thats true but if we stop watching he losers income but then again maybe thats what most people want ???
Your dad's smile climbing up that hill in the GU, total bliss!
The smile on Gary’s face when he’s driving the Patrol. Forget the front locker and trade the MUX on a patrol.
This is what i was about to write. I have seen in past adventurers he is a little fond of the gu. Tough wheeling the IFS gets old real quick.
Mate don’t worry about what negative things people say in the comments, you probably don’t, but just be yourself rather than thinking what comments people are gonna leave on the video, majority of us enjoy it That’s why your channel is doing so well over the years.
Hi, my two bobs worth re front diff.
I had the Isuzu built Holden Jackaroo's, and eventually had the front diff let go in the one we used for all our off road and touring trips.
In our case it was the sun gears that split in two, fortunately the housing stayed together.
I elected to rebuild ours with a goana auto lokka.
Our Jackaroo run LSD rear only, never upgraded it as it was phanominal providing excellent drive. Once we put the auto locker in the front this Jackaroo, it became a weapon, auto locker still allowed steering with constant traction.
Interesting, this Jackaroo run the original CVs, never had an issue with them, and we run 265/75/16 BFG muddies also.
After 17 years of use I sold it off to a chap that pulled my front and rear drives out, fitted them to another Jackaroo and they are still going strong. If the Mux CVs are like the Jackaroo's, once you fit an auto locker it will just provide trouble free drive into the future.
Keep wheeling the Mux, love it in your old man's hands, he's an adventurous lad.
PS. Forgot to mention you got off relatively easy with diff case shattering, in my case the diff ceased, the sudden drive line lock blew the front seal, bearing out of my auto (oil seepage from bell housing was giveaway), so I was up for diff centre, (lokka) and sourced a complete second hand auto as once bearing spat out drive shaft splines wore down getting out of tracks and home, didn't want to continue running an auto that had fine fragments running round inside of it.
$3000 + in 2013 so Gary's getting of lightly.
Great to see Gary back on the tracks!
Anyone for a cracker😂😂😂as the food tub goes up on the steep hill, gave me a good laugh the old man🍻
I've watched you for many years now, and it's almost like watching your children grow up, which I unfortunately do not have, but the evolution of man and machine in your family has to be commended. I've watched Kai( is that how you spell it?) develop from a shy child into a outgoing and opinionated young man. He's very generous with his ratings on your food, but I think anything cooked over a fire in the bush is super. Your dad is great and I'd have love to have had one who was 10% as good as yours. Just tell him to get a Toyota. I will follow you always. Toyota Lover.
Thanks mate, really appreciate the feedback!

The trips with your dad and son are the best.
Nice tracks and scenery. Making memories for you and your boy and you and your dad. Make the most of it while you can. Enjoy your vids love your digs at the haters.
Gary 100% buying a patrol now 😂 love it, keep up the great work grouse watching your content
Thanks mate!
Probably only a matter of time, dad’s been pushing the mux up some tough tracks 🤠
Dad’s going to common deer the Gu , Tyler will be driving the Gq
Really awesome episode Tyler! Great tempo and variety. So cool to see Gary having such a good time. Quite the shit eating grin on his mug!!! Methinks you will be do yet another Patrol build, this time for your Dad. Nice treat to see Mr TJ Jack make a guest appearance. Thanks for the great content!
Thanks mate!
Love your Sarcasm Tyler, keep it up, and thanks for the outback equipment discount saved me nearly $60
so great to have three generations of the boys out there having fun together eh!
What a fantastic trip , shame about the mux but at least Garry got to have a drive of the Gu and how was the smile on his face 🤠👌👌. What a fantastic area to explore and looks like some great campsites 👌👌.
Cheers boys
Cheers mate 😁
Good to see it back to 2 and a half men. But the Nav is home with tears in the headlights.
Your Dad's Smile..........
PRICELESS. 👌
Love the 48!
another great watch, keep it coming 👌
Great episode.
The smile on your dad's face said it all mate cracking video 👍🏴
Get the 2017 Colorado front diffs and rear center bro there 4:11 much shorter and bolt straight in it’s a game changer
Cheers mate
I have my old font diff here if u want it mate has 90k on it when I did the swap
The manual ones are 4:11 not the auto
Awww geeez...crap rrsult for the Mux...the troll really make piss easy work of those tracks.
Gary is a card, love the humour, $3000 hill hahhahahhahaha, funny as! Never ceases to amaze me the capability of Gary's Isuzu, pity about the diff but!
Great video, love that area! Also remember to pack your SUP next time for when the flash flood comes you can ride the tidal wave! #all4thecontent #maximumdrama #jk
Gary's smile is infectious
Loved the comment when decending down steep hill ,LUNCH HAS ARRIVED where food in container slides into front seat around 34 min mark lol…
Maybe Dad can swap the MUX for the GQ? 🙈😱👍🏻🙏
Kai’s filming is next level! 👍🏻
Excellent episode mate, can't wait for next week 🤙 The grin on dad's face, priceless.👍👍
Cracking episode, love the family aspect, doesn't need to all be limiter bashing, taking it easy and seeing some sights is more entertaining for me. Shame about the MUX, but onwards and upwards with the front locker..... Looking forward to the next episode as long as you don't get swept away by those flash floods!! 😉 👍
Bigcol, England, UK......
Dang, was waiting for the 8 mtrs of rain ??? 🤪
Pity about the MUX diff... Time to SAS it🤔.
Awesome filming Tyler, it's such a beautiful area of SEQ.👍
My favourite type of video you put out.
Since I installed the front locker on my older ifs hilux seems to be no issues, front diff is smaller on the ifs vs the larger rear.looking back wouldn’t go wheeling without that front locker due to added traction, enjoyed the cooking.
“Lunch has arrived” lmfaoo
Its time to get dad his patrol...and officially thompsons family is patrolfied 🤣
😂
Love watching these awesome videos. Great stuff
Great video mate. Yep so good seeing your dad enjoying it
Hey Tyler, I’ve got a TB48 GU as well and I have recently put an 86% reduction gears in the transfer case. It has made a massive difference to the car off roading. I have way more control, it crawls anything and I recently got back from the VIC High country where I didn’t have to use brakes coming down the steepest hills at all. I run 35s too with standard diff gears. I can highly recommend it and will make a difference to your patrol too!!!
Great to see the old crew together. Yr dad had a ball... Great work...
Love the 4wd247 inspired thumbnail 👍
Forget the front locker, your Dad's smile says he needs a GU asap!!
Nice work love the adventures you go on soon as my 60series is together I can go back out !!
Wood chopping - tick
Baiting haters - tick
Gordon Ramsey appearance - tick
Gratuitous swimming scenes (need some slow motion wet hair flicking) - tick
And some four wheel driving!
Love it. Great content.
Haha thanks mate
get the silicon and pop rivet gun out dad 👍the music selection is truly world class.
Time to build dad a Patrol mate. he had a lot of fun driving your Patrol. He looks very happy.
Maybe get the ol man an 80 series, imagine the banter 😁
Love the take the piss to the know it alls about the 7 meter floods coming through haha.
It’s a bugger about the bakery. The 1kg donuts are great, the 1kg sausage rolls are average.
Good to see you left camp before the 7m of rain came thru🤘👍 I agree 74psi is a good starting point for hill climbs 👍👍😳😳😬😬🫣🫣🫣
Another great vid mate enjoyed it 👌 your dad just needs a solid axel rig That smile on his face says it all
Great video as always, maybe time to a front locker if your Dad guna persist with the Mux, may as well as it'd gota get fixed anyway. Good to see letting your Dad wheel Demi's troll after the Mux let go 👍
Always enjoy my Sunday morning with one of your great videos, I think dad's raady for a gu upgrade.
Great video Tyler! Out exploring with the boys!
Love the quick lasagna recipe too 👍🏼
Dad’s issues should be over once the locker is in that should put a pin in that grenade 😂 great ep once again mate
The ‘lunch has arrived scene’ had me crying with laughter 😂😂
My lentals Bolognese.
Onion fried add garlic, Italian herb and tomato paste.
Add a tin of tomatoes, vegetable stock, tin of lentals. Touch of Vegeta.. Add to pasta, very easy and so yummy
Beautiful area 😍 your Dad is a bit of a champion.
Cheers mate , one off your best .
Hope Gary gets the front locker, will make it a lot easier for him. Another great video and good to see TJ joining you on the tracks again. Next time don't exaggerate with the river levels.. you'd be more realistically seeing 6 metres, 7's a bit much hey.. Looking forward to the next video, hope to visit that place one day myself.
Thanks mate! Ill have to get my flood predictions more accurate next time 😁
@@TylerThompson90 while the diff center is out, put a locker in.
Good video, keen to see more
Best video ever the sarcasm is awesome 👍 keep it up love it
Another awesome video, love to see it get to 15k likes for Q&A with Ki
Time for a front Harrop in the MU-X . Mine is twin locked and it makes a big difference .
What size/brand tyres is a MU-X running ?
Nice spot around there , I am only a hour or so from it . Enjoy .
265/75/R16 mate
@@TylerThompson90 .
Just about to put 275 70 17 on mine and with the 68 mm lift it should help a bit .
Cheers Tyler
Gotta watch out for those inland tsunamis they’ll get you 😂
Not do diss the tyre deflator, but it takes me max 30 seconds per tyre with my way. But do love those things ease of use!!
Good video. Love the location 👍
Great vid. Love the trolling of the trolls
🤣haters gonna hate, keep up the great vlogs🤙
When fixing the mud have a thought to fit the steel diff casing from an RC Colorado might be stronger
Since the max is alloy seems the weakest link
Great video as usual
Cheers
Hi Tyler, that's my back yard, I know those tracks well, broke the auto in my GQ last trip.
It’s good to that see 3 generations travelling together in their 4bies. Best moments hey and don’t trick land cruiser owners with thumbnail 😂 (i drive lc too)
The possibility of why your front Diff is blowing is due to the Torsion bars wound up too close to the upper bump stops which makes it rebound harsher and creates a bounce up & down, that puts additional strain on the diff. Watch the footage of the hill climb again.... You need to clearance the upper bump stops by lowering it or giving them a haircut 😊. Great Vid 😃👍
Torsion bars? Aren’t the MUXs coil front?
Excellent video 👍🏻
Cheers!
7 metres of rain, 73 psi,
Baiting the haters much Tyler? 🤣🤣
Great video as always. 👏👏👍
What offset rims did you get engineered?
Where is that first campsite?
Looks like another great trip. Not good about your dad's Dmax. It unusual for IFS vehicles to break the diff first before the CV joint first. There's obviously something not right there somewhere. But at least, it didn't stop you guys doing the rest of your trip. 👍
Your old boy can wheel. He should just go buy himself an old solid axel 4WD that can get beaten up and just get on with it. Keep the MUX for daily driving (not to say that he can't wheel that either)
Hey mate
Just wondering if your on someone’s property??
Froth those camps spots 🤩
Not a bad idea about putting manual hubs in ifs and replacing the auto hubs incase you have a problem think I'll look into it
Yeah definitely handy when stuff like this happens
Leave the swag poles in the sleeves when packing up. Much faster setup each time.
your old man is a cool Kat👍
Another great clip Tyler and Gary, beautiful countryside and well shown.
And if Gary is interested, I might have to change my name to “2 Wheeling In NSW” and put him on as a full-time staffer 🤣🤣
Hopefully for you mate the repair bill is minimal 🤞🤞
Recommend you get some reduction gears in the patrol, makes a huge difference going down hill with the auto.
Yeah I will do some next year probably
Sick vlog bro!🤙🏿🤙🏿 cheers from Siberia!
You are starting to get some really good content out and really growing your brand which is good to see
But don't buy into the negative comments and bite back.... just keep doing what you do .there are always going to be negative people with opinions and while they are commenting they are watching
So keep up the good work and enjoy life
Cheers mate, just a bit of banter and having a laugh, no hard feelings
Hi Tyler what is that Chopping bord u use does it fold up mate
Thanks
Lasagne without meat is like car without engine..😂
Great video, please can you let me know which track you took for that swimming hole at beginning of video at Kenilworth?
it depends what the damage is a couple of weeks ago my daughter ripped the locating studs out of the diff of her suzuki and i built up the case then ground it down and drilled and tapped and refitted the diff and she is away. what was your damages
Looks like you're building Dad a GU in upcoming vids eh? Lol great content mate.
Haha yep might have to!
Surely the grandpa gq patrol goes to malakai's grandpa gary! :D
Hey mate, why don’t you get a front diff lock for the MUX? Be great to see how they perform both locked and less stress on the front diff..
Great channel!
Yep he has one ordered
Time for a front locker
Great video as usual thanks Tyler. It's a shame about Gary's diff though. Would a locker stop that from happening? That water was crystal clear, absolutely stunning
That hill your dad broke the diff on is easy as my grandmother on a unicycle could of done it and she only has 1 leg 1 arm n 1 eye lmfao
The all4adventure boys don't have a problem with the d-max and they thrash them much harder. Find out what they are using. But in any case, put at least a Lokka in the front when replacing. You already have the manual hubs to allow this.
Haha
They do..but you just don't see it. It's called editing..
