I worked with Mr. Moore on his last outing as 007 in A VIEW TO A KILL. He was the consummate professional and a terrifically nice guy. Barbara Broccoli is truly a fantastic person and producer. I owe her much. Rest easy, Sir Roger. They broke the mold with you. D.A.
Well said. I never heard any say anything negative about him, and was fortunate enough to meet him a couple times. Cynics have said, "Never meet your heroes", and I completely disagree with that view. Just an amazing amount of patience, and knew how to handle stardom by being kind and generous to his fans. He represents a generation of actors who people could look up to and admire. I agree that they broke the mold with him!
@urbanyouths Amigo ... I was a lowly Location Scout and Assistant Location Manager on the San Francisco scenes. Not that I need to prove anything to someone who wasn't there 40 years ago. Have a nice life.
I've heard Harry Saltzman say Roger Moore was the Bond he wanted for Dr No Roger Moore without doubt the nicest most gentlemanly Bond actor of all time I doubt we will ever see a Bond like Sir Roger again.
According to one article I’ve read, Roger Moore was Ian Fleming’s original choice to play Bond. However, he was making “The Saint” and couldn’t get out of it to make “Dr. No,” so Sean Connery got the part.
Thank you all for toning down the buffoonery to show due respect to a legend. Unfortunately we have few role models in the US to show young men what a gentleman looks or acts like. I appreciate you guys not shaming America in the eyes of a true gentleman.
It's unnerving to watch a bunch of idiots asking clueless questions to such a legend as Roger Moore. If I were the one to do the asking, I would have asked way more interesting questions.
@mlzema. Actually, Ian Fleming's original choice to play James Bond was David Niven. Then he thought that Cary Grant would make an excellent Bond but Grant turned down the role because Grant felt that he was too old for the role of Bond.
It bugs me that Roger Moore didn't know tho get close to the mic. I had to put on head phones and turn the vol. all the way up just so that I could faintly hear.
@@mr.brenman2132 what a dumb comment. You can't hear hardly anything he says. Why go on a talk show if no one can hear you talk? This guy's been on enough movie and tv shows to understand the basics of audio recording. That's why everyone but vos has headphones on so they can hear the mix and if they need to move closer or further from the mic.
After watching the entire interview I definitely agree with you. Only because I really wanted to hear what Roger was saying. Was Roger Moore the "biggest"/most acclaimed actor O&A ever had in the studio?
this guy didn't know nothing about Bong movies. he even didn't know who was after RM and who was anther producer, and then still he interviewed RM. do your homework!
Roger Moore is the class-act as we have all have got to know him. Too bad that he is being interviewed by a couple of jackasses that don't know their elbow from their backsides.
They don’t make em like they used to. Legend!

Roger is the coolest. Loved also hearing him talking about Bond and meeting the Queen.
Lovely interview of a very witty and humble man.
Charming and funny guy what a legend !
Thanks for the memories Sir Roger Moore 🌹🙏
I've heard Harry Saltzman say Roger Moore was the Bond he wanted for Dr No Roger Moore without doubt the nicest most gentlemanly Bond actor of all time I doubt we will ever see a Bond like Sir Roger again.
Splendid interview of a most amiable and gifted man. May Sir Roger rest in peace.
Bless Roger Moore! I had no idea he appeared on O&A. He was getting old and frail at this point, but he was still mentally alert and quick witted.
Great voice , great actor
Fantastic - Great man, your the best Sir Roger Moore, nobody does it better 007

I was just one year old when his first Bond film - LIVE AND LET DIE - came out, so I grew up with Sir Roger Moore's 007. He'll always be MY 007.
Just imagine Roger Moore played the 007 role again in "The living daylight" , it would had won an Oscar in 1988 i guess.
Well, that was fantastic. Thank you, Sir Moore...
I've been listening to o and a since they 1st came to xm. I've been a Bond fan my entire life. Never knew this interview existed
Me neither. Steve c must have risen from the gay dead and uploaded a bunch of stuff
To me he will always be my James bond legendary
I love the way Roger Moore walks in and nobody takes his coat #epicfail🤦
What an elegant man. So damn cool until the end!
Roger Moore was my favorite Bond. Live and Let Die my favorite Bond flim.
Moore was the BEST BOND.
Maestroooo!!!....SIEMPRE presente.. un honor verte y escucharte.. que descanses en paz. Siempre en el corazon y recuerdo. ❤❤❤

About halfway through I couldnt hear a thing out of him even with my volume cranked up
The greatest
I wish they had placed his mic up and closer. It's difficult to hear what he's saying
3:37 Citroën 2CV. The most iconic car design in the car history.
Opie quite as a damn squirrel like always
Moore carried the whole interview. these guys r a joke in every sense of the word in this episode.

I read that Ian thought Sean too uncouth for Bond.
Un grande fue
Was this a real radio show or just a podcast?
I can hardly hear Sir Roger, is there something wrong with his microphone?
Nothing wrong with the mic, just the dumbos running the show.
Looks like maybe a combination of being soft spoken and too far from the mic
It bugs me that Roger Moore didn't know tho get close to the mic. I had to put on head phones and turn the vol. all the way up just so that I could faintly hear.
Maybe you're deaf. It's not on him to mess with the mic.

@@mr.brenman2132 As a matter of fact I am deaf. But only in my left ear.
I get what you are saying but..... it's Roger Moore. I blame myself for not having super sonic hearing before I blame Roger.😆

This was a little boring
They were being respectful
