Those guys at the store were so happy to meet you and be in the video! Such great energy and enthusiasm from the staff and cool fish too. Awesome video.
Just real quick - Just like the US has states, the UAE has emirates. Dubai is an emirate, and easily the most popular one so far, closely followed by Abu Dhabi, where the year end F1 GP takes place. Ajman is one such emirate, towards the Northern part of the UAE, and about 30-40 minutes from Dubai, without traffic.
@@ThaBeatConductor Well, actually yes. Each city is also an Emirate (equivalent to state). Each has its own ruler, its own administration and its own rules (for the most part). For example, Dubai is the nightlife capital of the UAE, and one of the most happening spots worldwide - but drive 20mins north and you reach the emirate of Sharjah where selling alcohol is illegal, which means there isn't a single bar/club around. They're also known to be the most conservative emirate by far, and again, this contrasts heavily with their neighbor Dubai. A drive from the city centre of south west-most Abu Dhabi to the furthest/north east-most emirate of Fujairah would probably take 4.5-5 hrs approximately (in a straight line, and yes there is a highway linking all the emirates), so they aren't thaaaat far apart either.
I used to breed giant snakeheads and red lines back in the early 90s in jersey. Best pet fish ever. Used to feed them guinea pigs, small rabbits, and big rats.
Owwww Filipino that's my country and Try our country to travel a lot fish keeper here and a lot of breeders of any fish and also koi super duper aquatic keepers in here and a lot of of beautiful fishes in PH
Just for clarification, Ajman is NOT part of Dubai and is an independent emirate (but part of UAE). It would be interesting to see who buys those bigger/rarer fish and what kinds of aquariums they have. I just hope that they don't end up in small tanks or anything bad like that.
Almost an overwhelming number of fish and coral species!!! But sooo beautiful. Which fish or coral was 10,000 USD? Your reputation and passion precedes you globally. Thanks for taking so many of us along on this great adventure.
interesting fact... thats actually a Channa Asiatica White spot SP... they only get about 18-22 inches and not asn invasive as giant snakes in you example pics... really interesing fish to keep
George, you should come out to Dayton, Ohio to visit Gerbers Tropical Fish! I'm an employee there and we have probably close to the same amount of fish for sale as you've shown in Ajman it be a amazing opportunity to meet you and let you see the fish we sell here!
American fish enthusiasts are really missing out on the Asian arrowana hobby. It’s good business since Asian millionaires want them for their resemblance of a dragon
@@viktorcheng2061 they’re wonderful fish. The endangered part came from hunting males carrying eggs. That’s no longer an issue since they’re farm raised. Not only that being farm raised they’ve reproduced beautiful colorations. The rich buy them because they believe they bring good luck. I think they’re a stunning fish!
The correct name is Aruanã! It's a fish from Amazon and some natives call water monkey because they are famous for jumping from water to catch small insects that are in the trees branches, specially in the rainy season when the rivers flood the forest.
Ohh, I lived in Ajman for some time. It's interesting place, considering it's between Sharjah and Dubai... loved fish market, although another kind of fish there
Not all sneakheads grow to become giants. There are dwarf sneakheads too. That snakehead around 3 minutes in your video is a Channa Asiatica. They grow to about a foot long.
How does he take of his fish if he travels like this? I was researching glo tanks and came across his video from 3 years ago. I bet that tank is long gone ):
Here in Australia I went to an aquarium store today Albino silver Arowana 20cm $1,600AUD and 10cm MBU buffer $4,500AUD. The mini or Pea puffer are $150AUD ea.

I was always curious about how that worked. So is it like each city is more similar to a city-state?

Those High Fin Sharks go great with Koi. Very good algae eaters.
When it comes to fish tours you're the best
Aren’t those largest fish at like minute 8:00 just albino iridescent sharks? Right? The ones right before the mini puffers.
Good to see a fellow Filipino on your channel 🥰

Youre getting near the Philippines bro. Youre having numbers of Filipino features and cameo.
@7:47 those are also called swai. And you've probably eaten them.
I am surprised I’ve been living 5 minutes away from that shop and never knew it exists
Can you do an update on your nano reef tank when you get back home
Please do more fish store videos in Dubai

lmao the block party
Some amazing fish
Hi from PHILIPPINES! :)
as a keeper of botia kubotai, they're a very peaceful loach that I even keep with an elephant ear betta with no problem
Black ghost knife fish is one of the best to put inside the thank. Hard to find in the US though. Not many pet stores carry them.
You might want to visit predator fish store just to get more familiar with the fishes, or maybe some hardcore predator fish hobbyist
Did someone just say"ready chambikko"...lol 😂
Damn those are dealsssss 😮
Wow!!! So cheap!!! And such an amazing collection!!!
Its natural habitat is in West Kalimantan where it is located on Lake Sentarum, and can also be exported worldwide, thank you
The prices on the fish are really good, great fish store, really impressed!
Evolution - new fish all the time!

Try Jatujak market in Bangkok Thailand. The Arowanas there are huge and there are so many colors. 😊
George's expression when he saw the fish not allowed in the US is priceless!
They're called Asian Arowana and it's only available in asian such as Malaysia, Singapore etc
I have one as pet

I wish the US would take Asian arrowana off cites. It’s not necessary anymore. Just require chips and certificates for importers here in the US.

The correct name is Aruanã! It's a fish from Amazon and some natives call water monkey because they are famous for jumping from water to catch small insects that are in the trees branches, specially in the rainy season when the rivers flood the forest.
George i know and few shops near me like them shops here in the uk if you came over to Liverpool I would take you to them all
Ohh, I lived in Ajman for some time. It's interesting place, considering it's between Sharjah and Dubai... loved fish market, although another kind of fish there
Yo! The "Siamese Tiger" in with the Geophagus cichlids at 5:15 is a Datnoid, not a cichlid. It's critically endangered.
Happy new year

Most of us start with freshwater and advance to salt. George started with salt and now he's learning about fresh.
It would be so sick if you could see the ruler dude's aquarium
You can literally find snakehead and arowana in every single fish store you see in Malaysia cause they are one of most iconic fishes in Malaysia
But snakehead smells bad
How does he take of his fish if he travels like this? I was researching glo tanks and came across his video from 3 years ago. I bet that tank is long gone ):
Make goldfish tank
