this is a very beautiful journal! don’t mean to judge others somehow, but all of the videos that i’ve seen on youtube were diaries that mostly consist of collages and have so little actual text… your journal reminded me this eastern-european (ru, ua, kz & by) diary vibe which i LOVE and adore. this is very much inspiring for me. lots of love xx

When I saw the blue happy faces, I thought of the quote on a previous page-we are a sad generation with happy pictures. So true! I like your journal-I love journals full of text but that are decorated a little bit, too. I also like how you stick with one color theme on most of the decorated pages- the perfect amount of everything! Love it and thank you for sharing with us :)

Oh my god I am so so happy I found ur video. I’ve been looking thru so many bujo TH-cam vids and urs is the first one I’ve seen that has the EXACT same bullet journaling style like me. I don’t do trackers, calenders, to do lists, etc. all I do is WRITE with the decor layout extremely similar to urs, and some pages with no writing but just Print-outs.
I understand what you mean, to me it’s also hard to find people who have the same journaling style as I do since a journal is mostly used for trackers and stuff like that. I have tried that style in the past and it’s just not for me so I prefer this style more. I should post another journal flip through soon so stay tuned ! 🧡

Not sure if someone told you but if paper turns yellow it's usually because the paper is not acid free! A lot of journals use acid free paper and they will not turn yellow. Newspaper is made of paper that is not acid free and they will turn yellow and fade within months if not weeks! If you want to make sure your journals will last, you should use acid free paper. My first journal was not, and the ink faded and all that.
I actually didn’t know that! I have just started a new journal and since it was sitting in my drawer for a couple years the pages are a bit yellow at the edges. I’m trying my best to cover that. But maybe next time I’ll try to be careful looking for acid free paper when I’m purchasing a journal! Thank you 🤗

So pretty ❤ i don't deco my journal bc i am not creative plus i am not interested in decorating. I just like to write. But i plan to put some photos of special moments in my life for certain entries next year.
It all starts with a picture or a few stickers or some doodles in the corner of a page. You don’t have to do a lot if you don’t want do. But if you’d like to decorate your journal there’s many things you can do, using special photos sounds like a great idea too!🫶🏽✨

I'd love to know your process: decorate the pages first? Journal first? Decorate way ahead of time, fill in later? How did you decide color scheme/theme for each spread, on the fly or according the journaling? Nosy nosy nosy...
Hi so I have posted some journal with me videos (I think you can find them in my playlists) so you can get an idea on how I usually journal. I tend to prep my pages whenever I have the time to sit down at my desk. I make as many journal spreads as I can (usually until i run out of inspiration). Then I write in whenever I feel like writing, that can be every day or once a week or every few days. I usually don’t have a schedule for my journal, I do it whenever I like. Some days I’ll journal every single day, some others I’ll forget about my journal for a week or so. For color schemes, I tend to pick a color for each spread, so it doesn’t get too messy. Usually I choose according to the materials I have: for example, if I have many brown stickers, scraps etc I will just do a brown spread. I also sometimes do spreads according to a specific theme rather than a color but I usually end up hating those because they are way too messy 🤣

I am amazed how you keep decoration and writing composed on one page. I tried that, unsuccessfully. I either felt limited when I ran out of writing space, or my creativity strangled to come up with something for the next page, or how to proceed when I don't have much to write to begin with ....
Thank you so much !! I went through a lot of different stages of journaling before finding out which was my style. I did so many spreads I felt unsatisfied about and I also had days where I had nothing to write. But the good thing is: you can always turn the page and start again, until you find out what you like better. Just try out things (pinterest helps for inspo) and you can really write about anything that comes up to your mind, dreams you had, letters etc. you can also use journaling questions (also on Pinterest) to help❣️

You really don’t need a lot of stationery to get started. You can start by collecting stuff from your day (flyers, stickers, postcards, magazines etc) and use them in your journal. If you want, you can text me on Instagram, I’m howtobejuly. I can send some stationery, I have a LOT. But you must live in Europe because I have always had tons of problems sending outside of Europe. Or I can send you some Pinterest templates, you only need to print them. And you can use them in your journal :) ❣️

You can get 45 prints for free every month and only pay shipping. I also print Polaroid pictures using an app called lalalab, you can use my code PGLLRNN4 for a discount and basically only pay shipping for like 10 Polaroids :) 🤎

Thank you so much !! I tried to look for the journal but I couldn’t find it, anyway it’s from flying tiger and it’s a dotted a4 journal. I don’t really recommend it tho because it gets super heavy at some point and it’s impossible to carry around with you + the pages sometimes are too big to fill up. Im still trying to figure out which journal size I like the most but if you’re a beginner definitely do not start with an a4. I get the pictures from Pinterest, just type coquette, dark academia, Lana del Rey and stuff like that (depending on your aesthetic really) and in the suggested section you will surely find something that matches what you’re looking for. As for stickers, washis etc I always recommend shops like kik, tedi or flying tiger which is where I get most of my stuff, as well as shein and AliExpress. Also I love to collect stuff like stickers, napkins, flyers and so on when I go outside like to the cafe, to a museum etc🤗✨

Thank you! Currently I’m using an a5 but I’m still unsure if I like it or not. I think my ideal journal is something between a4 and a5. The a4 definitely is too big and it takes forever to fill up🤗

This journal was dotted so it was quite easy. On a blank page I usually write quite straight too, you can use a ruler or make very light lines with a pencil and erase them when you’re done writing 🫶🏽

Hi I write just whatever comes up to my mind in my journals, usually I talk about my days and how I feel. Also as you said important events, fun things I did and how I felt according to certain situations

Thank you! This journal is from flying tiger but I honestly don’t recommend it as it’s too big and it gets very heavy at some point. It’s very good quality for a flying tiger journal tho. For pens I use any random black gel pen, I’m trying a lot of different brands recently. I recommend muji 0.5 black gel pens, 0.3/0.5 shein gel pens and also the ones from the brand legami🤗

Dumb question maybe, but it looks like you decorate the page before writing? How do you make sure that you can fit all you want to write into the page? Or do you just start a new page in those cases? Hahhah sorry i'm new to this and very intrigued to see you write so much! It's very cool
I don’t make sure that there’s enough space cause I don’t know what I’m gone write about and if it’s gonna be a long entry or not. I use to prefecorate so that even if I don’t have the time to do a whole page I can still write and if I run out of decorated page I stop my entry end restart it once I’ve journaled again🫶🏽

Hii I downloaded pictures from Pinterest, made a collage using Picsart (you can select the frame with 4 pictures and they’ll come out the same size as mines) then printed them out using freeprints :)

Hii so this journal is from a shop called flying tiger. I believe you can find this specific journal on their website too. I do have mixed feelings about it because at some point it does get quite heavy and overwhelming but it was fun working with it anyway! 🫶🏽

I LOVE to print things and put them into journals. But i cant because we dont have any printers in our hosue. We're kind or broke. Sad.
I don’t have a printer either, I use an app called freeprints. Every month you get 45 prints for free and you only pay shipping (usually it’s 5/6€ for me)🥰
