Great honest review dude. It’s good to hear that it’s held up a lot. Can’t believe the chassis braces and the chassis itself survived those massive jumps.

what size for the extra shim? using the extra shim that include in the box?
Mine was cutting out at like 100ft and when I finally checked the antenna was cut in half inside the receiver box

And as far as part AR330379 that holds the top arms tend to break I had unscrew front mud guards glue it back on and then put two zip ties around it to keep it tight hold couldn’t find aluminum part for and upgraded so that was my lil mod of upgrade

Btw for servo saver grab exb spring which I believe is x hard and add 2 c clips to add preload than it's money

Current E Revo 2.0 owner. Have always been a Traxxas fan boy admittedly, and am PUMPED to try an arrma car in the near future
Yeah. I'm pro Traxxas simply because I once had a Savage Flux and it was so fun but that vehicle was a pain in the butt to fix and keep running. I just wanna be able to fix something when it breaks even if some other brands have more exciting vehicles.

Hi this is good 😊👍 I just got a new Notorious and I need to change to XT90 but I see extra thin grey wires up neg and positive ESC leads to center of each ec5 connector,do I solder each wire to the neg and positive main wires to XT90 neg Positive
Thanks! You can actually just cut those wires slightly shorter and heat shrink the ends. They are only needed for SMART batteries, but they are nice to keep around if you ever want to convert back.

I feel like mine is running slow for some reason.!.!. I turned it on punch setting 9 and it still feels slow compared to my Kraton v5. Same motor and esc. Any clue what might be happening?
Maybe try recalibrating the throttle on your ESC?

The ARA390299 and ARA390300 motor heat sink/cooling fan setup that comes on the EXB vehicles should work well. 😄👍

No, it has the same range I believe. 👍
In 5:07, how can you add the skid plate if your chassis is like 3:17? My notoriousis also v5 and has big diff
I believe ARRMA and other companies like RPM make skid plates that fit the V5.

I recently got my dx5 rugged I am running it with my v5 notorious I have an sr6100a receiver I feel like it’s way more sensitive on the trigger it flips on its back with a light touch I cannot get full speed with it and also I want to knw if I can record speed with the telemetry feature with the rugged ive tried but had no luck I want to see how fast I’m going
I’m actually trying to figure out the telemetry too. I was hoping to take advantage of some of the readouts, but haven’t had a chance to dig into it. 😄
Did u mess with the throttle rate with the rugged I turn mine up to 150 n I feel like it’s way sensitive like in a light touch it flips on it’s back way faster then it did did u change yo receiver

Watched this vid years ago and finally got myself a Notorious but I have a question.. Can they do double backflips stock.. Ive seen a bunch of other vids where it seems they can but I cant seem to pull it off.. Even a single I have to be wot for the whole rotation.. Seems easier with my Vorteks haha.
Awesome, congrats on the Notorious! It can definitely do double backflips with the stock setup on 6S. Some ramps make backflips easier than others. 👍
@@LVC_RC I have a pretty big plastic skateboard ramp. Wonder if the truck is just spinning too much on take off.

I have that same heat sink but in black. Did you find it to be loose when you installed yours?
Yes, I actually ended up selling that heat sink with my old Outcast because it was too loose for the new Spektrum motor on the Notorious. Surprised it didn't fit.
Did you replace it with a different heat sink & fan? If so, what did you go with?
Heat sink tape/thermal adhesive tape works perfectly for that particular heatsink...
Do you think this would be a better buy than the Outcast 6s EXB? The $750 price tag is steep, but I can see the benefits of some of those EXB hop ups
For casual bashing, I'd say this is a better buy than the Outcast 6s EXB. The EXB's upgrades are definitely nice for added reassurance, but they aren't required for what most people are doing with these vehicles in my opinion. 👍

Thanks! Both trucks are awesome; that’s definitely a tough choice. 😅 If you want wheelies, stunts, and the ability to drive on rougher terrain, the Notorious is perfect. If you want to go fast with better handling, I’d go with the Typhon. Can’t wait to hear which one you choose. 👊😎

I have the Kraton (still in a box), not sure if I should just return it for the Notorious. I have the Typhon too which I like for smoother jumps and the like (at the BMX track). I might even convert the Typhon into a Rally style car. So, I'm trying to decide, unbox the Kraton or swap it for the Notorious?
What did u end up doing
@@ImaYam I ended up keeping the Kraton and Typhon. I broke them pretty much every time I went out to the BMX track. Rebuilt both and sold them off. I'm back to racing on-road and mostly do crawling when not racing.
I'd like to see the next version to have gears like the 8s version

@@LVC_RC that's the only thing I worry about when running mine...I can run 4s for weeks no problems but if I was to run 6s I'd probably get 3 or 4 days

Small differential compared to the 3s lineup since it’s metal
Pins definitely weak under the sun gear ⚙️ in the diff , plastic front turn buckles should be aluminum cause with the plastic one when u try to screw the caps back on u can mess up the inside and that be the main cause of not having good steering with the aluminum turn buckles just lock tight the cap back on and u get perfect steering
I bought a vortex and its sweet. I just wish it was bigger and more metal. Is this one more durable than the vortex?
More durable than the kraton?
Nice! Between the Notorious and the Vorteks, I’d say durability is pretty close. A little tough to compare since the Notorious is larger/heavier.
Since the Notorious has a shorter chassis than the Kraton, it is slightly less likely to bend. Otherwise, durability is about the same between the two.

The bumper suck I notice pins break when you use weak diff oil ever since I started using 80,000 - 100,000 cst diff fluid in rear and front diff and use 500,000 cst in the middle and truck runs better like that
I got the exb diffs and I'm still having issues hahaha. My rear diff turned into a spool after only a few weeks of running. Total junk. Arrma is absolutely terrible at making differentials. Other than that I really love their platforms for upgrading and tweaking... But having to work on it every few weeks from anything that isn't a crash is irritating 💀💀.

I'm sitting here debating on getting one as it's on sale for 479$ that ends in about a hour lol. I have a kraton and own alot of rcs but my only thing close to this is a kaiju so it would be a good edition

@@LVC_RC Hey bud my notorious arrived today and looks really great in person. I'm gonna take your advice and put the extra shim in the front and rear diffs. Have you tuned your center diff at all? I've been recommended by a buddy to put 200k in the center to help that power bleeding to the front so much in stock form. Was wondering if you played with diff oils yet on it. Thanks!
