Best sound comparison video I've ever seen. No stupid music playing in the background and great summarization at the end. Definitely do more videos like this one, thumb up.
I own the Speed Triple S model, same year and same SC Project pipes. I’ve kept the baffles in as it emits a beautiful “crackle” sound while working through the gears. An excellent bike and excellent pipes, highly recommended. This video clip is really well made, great job mate.
Hey, I'm a little late but hopefully you will still read this. Does the exhaust still does those crackles/pops when you let go of the throttle when the baffles are in? (like in the video when he was letting go of the throttle after accelerating)
@@xtigerx230 It's taken me 5 years, but I'm finally replying to your message - I'm the dude on the bike! Yes it farts and bangs a lot, especially with the baffles out, but also with the baffles in only they're a bit more subdued.
Beautiful video, with objectivity and quality! It said it all, including that the melody of this engine is beautiful no matter the instrument! Congratulations!
The perfect comparison vid. Well done! I've got the 2020 speed triple and my fingers hovering over the "buy" button for the same exhausts - I'm stuck between those or the SC!-R which is the single low slung one. Decisions decisions!!!
Depends if you want to go deaf or not. Underside exhaust often makes for very uncomfortable experience. Had this issue on my gsxr and street triple. Will never do it again.
I'll be ordering these SCP cans in a coupla weeks - leaning towards the Stainless Steel high mounts. Right at $1000 clams but ooooooo that sound. Baffles out for me also..!!
Followed you here from Teapotone on your link. Great video, particularly the way you have the repeated comparison of stock to baffles in - then out. I mean that's what we want to hear right? Well, with Teapot, I much preferred baffles in but you've shown that out gives a much cleaner sound. Like the engine breathes better. I'll start saving to upgrade my 16 'S'. Nice one, thanks.
I stumbled back on here just for the listen again! I ended up with a low level GPR carbon can. I think as good as these and with better weight reduction plus lower centre of gravity. But each to their own, its all good, baffles in for that crackle-popop- pop-pop on decelleration 😊
I thought long and hard about getting the low pipe. Less weight, more power. But tbh, at my skill level, it really wouldn't be noticible to me and I love the look of the undersea pipes. Ride safe and thanks for the comment!
I have the same bike and just added these cans. Did you get a lot of popping on decel? I'm on the original tune, would the dealer Arrow tune help decrease the popping? Thanks.
You don't want to reduce that, it's what it's all about. Yummy mummies smile and want to be with you, the incel hubby wishes he was you and the kids jump up and down laughing and pointing. What's not to like?? 😂😂😉
@@S1000xrhp The pop on decel was reduced over a couple hundred miles of riding. Now it is still there, but acceptable and not as annoying. I don't mind a some popping on decel, but it was insane for the first hundred miles. I love this exhaust and it really led me to love this bike even more. It will be hard to ever sell it, if ever.
@@andrew5354 it's all good then, I nearly jumped for a 2020 Speed (looks like a trade in itself against the new model) but I'd need to put in at £5k for marginal improvement, then fit another can etc and I dislike keyless, and the quickshifter has been known to eat gears!! I think I'll sit tight, nothing wrong with mine 😂😂
@@S1000xrhp Cruise control is the only thing I wish I had that the newer bikes have (well, and more power). With my upgraded mufflers, tail tidy, and led turn signals, I prefer the looks of mine to the newer ones. I also prefer the analog tachometer on my bike to the newer all-LCD displays.
@@andrew5354 Aye not all progress is better, I'm starting to hear these analogue screens are being nicked. A BMW one is a grand to replace!!! FFS! Cuise might be good, never had it on a bike but in the car the only time I use it is in Ave speed zones. We're generally too crowded on UK motorways to leave it on for long anyway, I'm not quite as sold on it tbh.
Absolutely blown away by them - can't complain. It's so easy to remove and install the baffle, which is handy. The overall built quality is really impressive. Highly recommend them. On top of the SC Project were great to deal with, they even rang me and thanked me for the order and rang me again when they posted them.
Sorry for the late reply! I haven't actually, and it seems fine. I think there's a bit of a flat spot lower down now, but at the next service I'll get the Arrow ECU map uploaded for free.
UPDATE: High Flow Arrow ECU map completed and.... meh its not much different. The bike felt great anyway as it was a major service, but I couldn't notice a change in the power band.
I think I'm the only one who prefers factory, aftermarket exhausts make bikes sound like they're doing a constant fart. My Tiger 1050 has Arrows on and it sounds stupid.
Definitely not mate and to each their own. Good for you for having your own opinion and not following like sheep! Glad you enjoyed the video either way.
This is literally how every exhaust comparison should be. Outstanding job on the video.
Thank you!

Great great great location and pure sounds 🏍️

Good question and honestly, I don't know. I do know they're pushing their own Arrow cans very hard on the new bike, so probably not if I had to guess.
Think i prefer it with baffles in
Is the catalytic converter built in the stock can? If not where is it?
Any Issue with the mounting brackets into the side of the cans and vibration after long term use?
Sorry for the late reply - happy to report that the installation was rock solid.
hi are you using the triumph shifter ? thx
Yes mate, that's a factory fitted quick-shifter.
Sounds like it has quick shift !?
Good spot - yes it does!
So, just a can change...still have the catalytic converter on?

Yes! Villeneuve on the Sunshine Coast more accurately.
