- In the third installment of our Hilltop Estate webisodes, Shea walks us through the kid’s wing of this stunning SoCal home. Here, Shea explains that the timeline of this project-four years from beginning to end-provided to be a unique obstacle solved by clever design. As you can imagine, creating a space appropriate for a four-year-old is a different task than one for an eight-year-old. In the end, “we designed a space that grows up well, and it speaks to picking foundational pieces that can be changed through textiles and color palette,” explains Shea. I love the Netflix show as well bc I'm all for BTS and everyday footage to go along with the polished and finished footage of your projects. It provides a nice balance and viewers get to see what all goes into these beautiful projects.

I love how the niches make sense and are usable not like the 1960's-1980's niches that were pretty much decorative.

Gorgeous. The a couple things not a fan of 1/ are the brass lights in the hangout room,on the ceiling. They make the ceiling look really low…would have preferred a less cluttered clean look there… 2/. Dark hexagon tiles….they never look good…even in marble…really dislike them. I would swap out that bathroom floor…..
