People like him are very essential of the gaming history. Gaming history needs to be taken seriously!, the medium has surpassed movies already and it earns a museum and proper documentation archives for every single video game that's been made, good or bad..
Frank Cifaldi is really doing some important and underappreciated historical preservation-I think his preservation work will be seen as significant in future analysis of early games and games culture.
The production value of this is really good; I wish there was more. It's really short. Feels like the introduction to a full documentary on this topic that I would wish to watch. What hit the cutting room floor?
As a collector and retro enthusiast who also believes in the preservation of video game history (though for me on a smaller scale) I say props, go forth and hopefully all of us enthusiasts can keep the history of gaming alive for generations
I have been playing games since the early 1970s, my father worked at Atari. Of course now I've been making games for about 30-years, and as I watched things getting thrown away I hoped someone was doing this. If there is a community, I'd like to get on the mailing list. I'd donate, but with VRs terrible start I'm broke until my current project makes money but I would like to be involved. :)
Personally while I'm thankful of kind-hearted, careful people, channels & REDUMP. I'm sorta terrified especially due to how it feels when I have OCD. I'm actually pretty terrified for the History of Gaming. I really hope it becomes less of a seldom seen f****ng, he who shall not be named type discussion or something. I don't know what it is but I feel paranoid when I see that no-one else is gettin' where I'm coming from. & the whole "his or her's or this guy's IS forrrrr the taking" mentality in this community. We gotta be fair & reasonable
That's about when I got my first computer. We just couldn't afford one before that. And even then, we always had really outdated ones until I was able to buy my own, maybe five or six years later.

I love the idea of preserving the context. I think that mindset would benefit all historical documentation.
Thank you, Frank!
