Kimono ASMR is something I never knew I needed
I worked at a Kimono shop in Asakusa and was trained by a Kimono master. It's such a beautiful art.
Oh when she spoke about sharing and respecting other cultures while mentioning Sébastien Chabal and the French embassy, it was so sweet. Japan and France have always shared a respectful and historical interest in each other culture, language and history, and particularly for each other's craftsmanship and skills. I love this.

This was an absolute delight from start to finish! The two assistants were clearly very skilled with the kimono wrapping and Abe-san nothing short of a master - I loved how she oversaw the whole process from start to finish and offered her advice and experience. I especially liked the part with Abe-san and Camsis talking about her kimono and obi.
She doesn't miss any millimetre of detail, so amazing

I've heard it said that wearing some clothing is like wearing art. I've never really resonated with that statement until I watched this. Truly, the skill and beauty of every piece of this ensemble, from the craftspeople who created the garments, to the skilled women who helped put it on...just...wow.

I cried to see the finished Kimono. Clearly you feel the pride, meaning, dignity, and joy of wearing such special garments. The wise elder woman knows a lot of experience.
The skill. The artistry. I can't imagine how much training goes into learning to properly fold and create the perfect kimono and I feel honored to have watched these skilled artisans working their magic.
I love how positive and excited she is about the whole process. "You must be so excited to see the back!" I've worn a lot of traditional and traditionally styled clothing of my culture for performance in the past, and honestly it had a kind of negative connotation for me as a kid because everyone made it out to be so stressful and high-pressure, lol... so this kinda healed me.
