Before you guys start congratulating me😆let me say this first I'm not getting married anytime soon or let's say this video is done to experience and show you guys (Twixes) only😅but I would want one for my actual wedding in the future. Sensei was so cute and really professional. Hair style takes 2 hours but since I have wavy hair🌊〰️it took extra 20-30 mins. So I recommend you to straighten your hair few hours before going to the salon. I forgot to mention, they offer head spa at the end for free and it's included in the hair style price. But it was already late cause of video shooting. So they gave me cleanser to wash off thick oil. I followed sensei's instruction as mentioned on the very end of the video. So it was pretty easy to do and my hair felt so soft next day. probably all the thick oil felt like hair mask haha my hair was really moisturized in a very good way. Why didn't anyone tell me red is my color???? and makes me look so powerful and gorgeous?? This was my another dream to try this hair style for almost a year by Kura sensei. He has a TH-cam channel, so one day his video was on my feed👀and I was like I need this😆fast forward here is me sitting on the chair helping sensei wth holding some hair tools lol after 2,5 hours, it was finally for the grand finale with beautiful red kimono to shine like a bride haha you can learn traditional hair style in his school so if you are already stylist, it's time to learn more haha. Check out sensei's TH-cam channel🥰@kurajyuku youtube.com/@kurajyuku7030?si=2Dz_DxVCo3cgfqn6 *I wish I can get traditional make up by sensei next time🤞do you want the make up video to happen? Comment below💬I'm gonna sleep now and enjoy this video, huys and bye~ Twix
How wonderful to have people who put such high value in preserving their history. May Sensei continue to delight brides and teach his skills for many years to come.
yes that's what I thought too! I have never seen young people doing this hair style so I hope young people will keep learning and not let the culture die
Sensei was absolutely adorable. You can tell he takes pride in his work. It was absolutely fascinating to watch this process. It makes me happy to know younger people are still interested in traditional processes.
My mum would’ve loved to have seen this video….she was a hairdresser herself during the 1960s doing the beehive styles. It’s great this man is keeping this tradition alive 💚🧡
The way he works so professionally and how proud he looks when the hairstyle is done really show how much dedication he puts into his work. I would love to see another video with him!!!
The sound of the wooden tools on your hair are giving all the best tingles! What an artist this man is.. it's a beautiful thing to keep our cultures and traditions alive and to share them with the world! Applause too for the lady assisting.. they make a wonderful team!
This is a true craft, a rare art form. Something about his focus, care, and the gentle way he explained things and gave direction really touched me. What an awesome dude
This was incredible. The man is a sculptor of hair. His skills are amazing. So happy to see him keeping traditions alive through his styling and teachings. I really enjoy the cultural and historical videos. Really well done. Beautiful result, Twix!
I watched this video at 2am after studying for finals whole day so at 7:47 I was like "wow, he's so dedicated to his craft he grew a third arm".😂😂😂 But on a serious note, the amount of patience and dedication one must have to be able to do these beautiful hairstyles. He's amazing. And he sounds like a sagely mentor for a protagonist in a fantasy anime.😂😂😂
This video is just incredible. To watch someone who has perfected his craft down to the tiny details was a real pleasure. And the history and culture behind it too- just amazing. And The photo was just stunning! I can imagine it being passed down to your generations to come. So special ❤
That is absolutely phenomenal!!! I love how serious he is about his craft as well. The finished product shows how much attention to detail he puts into every bit of the process. Wonderful!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I think my jaw dropped at some point. What a privilege to be able to see and experience traditions from different cultures thanks to people like him. Beautiful! P.S. You lady had a tough job staying awake, it almost put me to sleep too!
This is by far my favorite video so far. It’s fabulous and he has so much control over the hair and his personality is so sweet. We definitely need to watch a geisha look next. Please!
Congratulations on the beautiful and intricate hairstyle. Always made the wrong assumptions about hairstyles like these only being done to wigs and not an actual live hair and scalp. I’m amazed at the skill. Also, impressed by the lack of movement on your part. Kudos to this master hair stylist.
This is so interesting! While I love the other videos, this one is fascinating just seeing how he does it, but also the skill needed to make such a magnificent piece of art.
Absolutely stunning and a joy to watch. The man is a true artist and I hope others are learning from him so that this traditional art form doesn't die. You look like a goddess.
I didn’t know why I got so teary eyed watching the preview to the video until you mentioned that this was art. This was truly beautiful and a delight to watch and I’m so happy for you that you got to experience this, your joy radiated through the screen!💖
I LOOVVVEEE these kinds of contents! It's not just the usual ASMR, but an immersive experience where I can learn more about Japanese culture. It's also really unique and informative, something that short documentaries with a bunch of montages can't do! I'll be waiting for more contents like this video/the kimono one from you. ❤ Keep up the good work twix san!
This is amazingly interesting and fascinating to watch. I love that Japanese culture holds into these traditions. The patience and skill required. Even the skill to make and create the specific hair shaping tools. It must have taken hours to do the hair, then another hour to get into a full Kimono and another hour for photography maybe? Amazing skill!!! What an Artist!
Absolutely beautiful!! My dad is a barber (hairstylist who concentrates on mens hair). Sensei reminded me of my dad. They are such incredible artists. Thanks for sharing this incredible experience.
The absolute perfectionism is amazing. Every hair is controlled down to the exact placement. It must take so much study and practice to refine your art like this and it's always a pleasure watching someone truly skilled doing their thing even if your don't have the first clue yourself about what they're doing
Watching him brush your hair at the beginning reminds me of the way my mom use to brush my hair when I was a kid except I use to close my eyes and clinch my jaw lol he is a real artist beautiful job!!!!
I to się nazywa prawdziwe RZEMIOSŁO !!! Precyzja , pasja , delikatność , i widać ogromne serce aby wykonac tak perfekcyjną i przepiękną TRADYCYJNĄ fryzurą 🥇
the start of the style, with applying the oil to the hair, reminded me of the old pomade-and-powder styles people used to do before it was easy to wash your hair daily. i guess this is like the super-formal super-intricate version of that! beautiful.
I’ve watched this several times and I am still amazed at his skill and how amazing it turned out at the end. When I visited Tokyo I saw a bride having pictures taken with this traditional hair style in a park. It is such an amazing tradition.
I love to see many cultural traditions when it comes to hair styling and fashion. This traditional Japanese hair style is so pretty! And that man is so passionatewith his craft and gentle through the process. I do hope this reaches some to help keep that tradition alive, I'd hate to see an important part of a culture die off from modern-age changes
Wow Twix, you look so beautiful! He is truly a Master indeed, and I can see how much pride he has in his Labor intensive job! Bless him! You make a stunning bride for sure Twix even if it was just for show. I had no idea how involved it was to get the bride's hair just right for the ceremony. Thank you for sharing this with us. I really enjoyed it. All the Best to you & Camera Sis! 🧡
I came here for the tingles but stayed for the artwork😍 It’s really fascinating watching sensei do your hair. He’s very professional and polite the entire time!! I wish I can get my hair done like that too🥰
Wow! I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to see this artist create such a masterpiece. So beautiful! I’ve subscribed to his TH-cam channel. Thank you for showing us the process. ❤
In addition to seeing the stunning end result, it's awesome to see his passion for the craft. He is definitely an artist keeping a rich history still alive
What a beautiful documentarian you have become. You are honoring this culture by sharing these experiences in such a genuine manner. It is a blessing to us all. Keep it up Twix 💜
This was so much fun to watch. It was really cool to see how every part came together and how your appearance changed so much. I also didn’t realize how much wax was used for getting the hair to shape like that.
Such an interesting process! I’ve seen videos of Maiko having their hair done too - so much precision and expertise! They only get the style done once a week as it’s so labour intensive ~ one of the Maiko said she was very much looking forwards to becoming a Geiko so she could wear a wig instead! ❤
Wooow the stylist is truly a master and it's so nice seeing traditional and cultural aesthetics. I always wondered how this kind of hairstyle gets done. Thanks for the amazing content!❤
I love this hair style, the man’s dedication, patience and determination as it’s a true form of art he is keeping alive. The woman that got the hairstyle, it was made for you, you look like a true queen! Absolutely amazing work 👏👏
As a hairdresser I've never really over thought about the geisha look -now that I saw what goes into it... I'm absolutely impressed and I'm taking some of these Foundation skills to my career thank you so much
Not only was he extremely talented with the hairstyle but he was also talented with the pictures! Its a extraordinary and extravagant hairstyle and seeing him enjoying his passion is beautiful
In a world were everything is fast paced, it is so wonderful to see something slowed down and beautiful. Im glad he has keeped something so wonderful alive. Thank-you to you and him.
The amount of dedication, precision and love of craftsmanship in each and every brush stroke of the sensei's hands is breathtakingly inspiring. He is truly sculpting a living piece of art! I'm speechless... Where else in the entire world would one be able to connect to almost half of a millenium's old history by actually wearing it?!?! Thank you so, so much, dear ASMR Twix, for sharing this experience with us.
Wow! This is what I’ll be envisioning when I hear the phrase “a true master of his craft” . Kira Sensei creates wearable art, this was the most fascinating process I feel privileged he let us glimpse such magic…I’m just in awe of the skills . I always appreciate how much footage you include, your videos are so relaxing and just serene❤❤❤
I love the way he loves his work. The time effort dedication put into it shows he really cares. From the hair to the accessories to even the photos and posing. He loves his job and he does it so well.❤
This is the most interesting video you have made. The amount of value this man puts towards his work is so inspiring. I have so much respect for him. I have never seen such unique techniques. Thank you for showing us. I hardly earn a living so I don’t have the luxury to travel so I get to learn and experience new things through videos like these. I really do wish I could experience it first hand though.

As I’m watching this, I realize this is more than just ASMR or a hair tutorial. This is documentation of a rare traditional art form. Thank you.

Sensei needs his own channel, he is so adorable and loves his craft.
he has a TH-cam channel for many years😍link is given on the video description
Sensei was absolutely adorable. You can tell he takes pride in his work. It was absolutely fascinating to watch this process. It makes me happy to know younger people are still interested in traditional processes.
He approached your hair like a sculpter approaches clay. This is such a beautiful, historical form of art. Thanks for sharing this with us
Aside from being a pro, the stylist seems so kind omg, my heart. And his voice is so warm, I could listen to him talking about hair for hours
This gentleman is truly a master at his craft... a joy to watch.
My mum would’ve loved to have seen this video….she was a hairdresser herself during the 1960s doing the beehive styles. It’s great this man is keeping this tradition alive 💚🧡
The stylist is a true artist! The care and precision with every move is beautiful to watch. Great video twix!
This really was an art form. It was like watching an artist who uses hair as his canvas. Beautiful.
This man is an irreplaceable national treasure, and must be protected at all costs. The ornaments are glamorous and the kimono is absolute heaven!
That's not a hairstyle. That's art.
👍

Twix out here living her best life for all of us ❤️
I thought that was absolutely amazing. I mean that’s artwork with hair as attention to detail, which just beautiful.
What a lovely man who takes such great pride in his art. We don't seem to get that attention/respect from the stylists in the U.S.
This is not hair styling, it's sculpting, it's art.
So far this one is my favorite video. Just to see how this hairstyle is done and the pride he has while creating it.
This is honestly the most interesting video ever. His work is artistry and so is your video. I'd love to see more like this.
This might be the best video you guys have ever made! WOW! So much talent! P.s. the quality of the video is great!
That one handed knot tying is amazing
Such a long and detailed process... I only have pure admiration for skilled artists like him.
He has some serious skills. Great to see the effort behind the tradition and keeping it going. Thanks to him and you both for bringing it to us.

I would watch the full unedited version of this. What incredible work! I’m absolutely awestruck.
As an American living in Japan, I absolutely love this and now will need to do this too! ❤

Unbelievable! Hair ART! and the way that man ties a one handed knot is impressive on its own
