Have you thought about doing a video on pros and cons of staying at an all-inclusive resort and staying at a non all-inclusive resort in Cancun? What hotel/resort would you recommend for a non all-inclusive vacation?
That would be nice! We’ve stayed here twice and love it. But I know there are some perks to an all-inclusive that we would enjoy, such as not worrying about our tab racking up lol . I suspect it’s a significantly calmer atmosphere for one thing.

My wife and I are just finishing our stay here. We are at about $200/day. That’s a light breakfast, Some snacks and drinks by the pool during the day. And a fairly nice dinner. Could easily spend more but we try to be somewhat responsible since it’s not all-inclusive.

Hi Dana my fellow NYer. Im planning a 40th bday for my fiance. Its a toss up between Marriot Cancun (better price, beach, etc), Renaissance hotel & marina ( best price, close to ferry to isla mujeres), JW Marriot ( most expensive, beautiful). For just 3 days which would you say is the best experiance. Of course we are taking 1 or 2 day trips to the island. So staying in resort wouldnt take most of our time. But I wang her not to feel deprived at Renaissance w no ocean or maybe over whelmed w/ JW marriot. Questions are: In Marriot Cancun can you use JW marriots amenities? And is the tequila tasting, and perks you were enjoying included in all bookings or extra? How much also was the Cabana?

JW Marriott due to the renovated rooms, larger pools and dining options. With that brings said, the Marriott Cancun is being reopened this spring as an all inclusive and fully renovated.

We just got back from Cancun. Most of the time was spent at a timeshare in Playa Paraiso. Good facility, but the beach is horrible. All rocks. We spent the last 2 days at the JW Marriott. Great facility with a great beach and heated pools. The SPA is fantastic with views of the lagoon and the sea. It also has an indoor pool and hot tub which would be good on a bad weather day. Our plane didn't leave until 5:15 pm, so they provided a hospitality room so we could hit the beach and the pool and clean up before boarding the plane. The Marriott next door has some nice restaurants and a great bar.

what did you use for taxis's?
We had the hotel call/hail for us and same for at restaurant with the host stand if we ate outside of the resort.

I think the cabana is around $150. In our experience a nice dinner for 2 with a few drinks is about $100 or so.
