  • Taylor and I check out Mt. Cook National Park, do some hikes and swim in an ice cold lake.
We camped right in the National park and made for an easy morning hike the hooker valley track to get view mt cook up close. We then did Kea Point track before lunch. We finished off the day by visiting Tasman Glacier and Tasman Lake. We had been debating swimming in one of the lakes in the park and decided that Tasman Lake was as good as any. We had a quick dip with some icebergs. Our campsite for the night had 3 somewhat friendly stray cats which was a cool surprise.
This was my favorite place we have visited so far and I already told Taylor we need to visit again before we leave the country.
