Whenever I do doll makeup I like to use my concealer as foundation because it's slightly lifter than my foundation and it gives me a more porcelain look in my opinion
Some ideas for alternative ways to try and wear it: - pin up the overskirt/lace skirt part a little to show the underlayer (you can use the mirror pins, like on the chross straps on the neck! - add a ribbon on the bicep part (above the lacy bit) for a segmented sleeve look (even more OTT?) - pin the front of the flouncy sleeve part up for more of a hi-low sleeve look - drop sleeve? (if the elastics allow) - statement belt to change up the look and introduce other colors? - detachable collar (the Mori Ista type, I know SummerTales Boutique has some available) - high neck blouse underneath? (Or a high neck dickie)

I've been subscribed for a few months now and also checked most of your back catalog of videos and the first coord is the most bad ass one I have seen you in so far. I laughed at the "if you throw enough money at it" comment. I love the dress and the headdress but I also think the wig ties everything together better than most bangless hairstyles would. The grey (is there lavender in that wig?) just goes so well with the color scheme of the dress.
Yes the wig is actually a subtle mix of dark green and light pink! It's a weird one but one of my faves for Goth as a substyle. Thank you for the sweet comment!
That second coord is giving me EGL Stevie Nicks vibes and I'm loving it. In so many years, I've never had a dream dress.. I think I have one now. Purple and black is 100% my aesthetic.

For this coord, I think it would look lovely if you added a dark underskirt to add length and if you added a black or purple bonnet on top. And I loved the gray ringlet wig with this ensemble. :*^ My two daughters and I all do Lolita. I'm 5'11", 58 years old and plus size, but I love doing Lolita for fun--especially when I'm in the city & when riding my bike (yes, I do ride in brand!). Katie is 5'9" with a 36K bra size and a long torso... *challenging* goals for dressing in Lolita! I sooo appreciate your generosity in sharing your measurements. It's extremely helpful when planning out purchases. (My youngest daughter is the shorty in the family at only 5'5", yet she is a competitive swimmer. She's super thin at the waist, but the girl has shoulders and some guns for biceps! She can still fit into AP, but mostly the JSKs)

Now I am inspired to make and wear actual coords after my favourite characters. As for further coord ideas- you could wear a partlet underneath (those elizabethean fake collar/croptop ruffley thingies you can see here th-cam.com/video/Rpin0IEUZiQ/w-d-xo.html , there are loads of styles) to fake a blouse without the extra warmth in the already warm poly. Would look cute with the broken doll idea, and the evil queen version high collars would be cool for gothy goth. An underskirt may look cool too, tea lenght dresses are so elegant, and your heeled shoes would definately look good to with it. And for another direction~ break the sweetness up with hardcore industrial goth plateau boots, ripped tights and heavy make up.. and Mana hair :)) PS: Your size chart is really helpful!. Also, the elastic in the front seems so cut in a bit- had the same prob with 2 full shirring JSK (I looked like a roll roast) and prolonged/snipped these elastic bands, quick work.
