I also think that with the declining birthrates and the size of today's economies we no longer need economic growth so we should start disregarding it. The fact that a stagnant economy is a problem kind of speaks to how dysfunctional the system is and that it's kind of a ponzi scheme. A sustainable economy should provide for it's people without growth. We need to start disregarding growth entirely. If the economy grows, fantastic. If it doesn't then it shouldn't be a problem. Other than the last couple of decades America's been pretty great. Just like most governments in the world there's always corruption with politicians working with large companies. The bigger the government the more money they make because they'll have more power over the people. You won't know how we can get Affordable Health Care. First of all there's no competition! Because I can't buy Health Care from a different state if I wanted to. If you remove the borders on health care that would lower the price a lot, will be more competition. Right now there's barely none.
In Germany, where I live, we slowly adopt the unsocial american ways over the last 10 years and it already hurts the low income people (still better than USA but worse than it was in the past). I really hope Bernie will somehow win and USA will adopt our social democratic system at least a little bit and Germany moves back to the "Soziale Marktwirtschaft" and away from the inhuman path to pure capitalism. The global top 1% are getting way too powerful. Globalisation made them more powerful than ever.

As a moderate and a financial analysts for my job, at Adobe and a volunteer with wildlife in my spare time, I fully support Bernie. He is the best presidential candidate I have seen whether Republican or Democrat for a few key reasons I think many people would agree with. He clearly has a genuinely kind heart, he is sincere, he is stable and consistent, he is transparent, inclusive and respectful of everyone, ethical, very hard working and compassionate. I like his character and ethics, which is needed in US politics.

You seem to be a reasonable debater, so let me ask you a few questions. How does spending an estimated $18 trillion over ten years seem to be possible? It would not just be a struggleot to convince a republican controlled senate and house to pass this, but also what would be cut in order to fund said plan? It is impossible to realistically achieve this. If you somehow manage to support the proposed $15 minimum wage, why? All credible economists can and will tell you that minimum wage is a detriment to the economy. Already we are seeing all time lows in teenage unemployment. Raising the minimum wage only hinders a business and creates greater unemployment, higher prices, and lower overall quality of goods and services. Free college? Is this a joke? There are millions of Americans who have been through the struggle of paying for school on their own. As someone who is currently at a University, I would be enraged to find this to be true. I have worked my ass off to get the opportunity to be here, so why is it beneficial for this to become free for everyone else? Also, how would this be funded? And with the government paying for tuition, what would prevent colleges and universities from raising their rates even higher? It all sounds wonderful; free this and free that, but when reality sets in, it is economically impossible.

I also think that with the declining birthrates and the size of today's economies we no longer need economic growth so we should start disregarding it. A sustainable economy should provide for it's people without growth.

Other than the last couple of decades America's been pretty great. Just like most governments in the world there's always corruption with politicians working with large companies. The bigger the government the more money they make because they'll have more power over the people.
You won't know how we can get Affordable Health Care. First of all there's no competition! Because I can't buy Health Care from a different state if I wanted to. If you remove the borders on health care that would lower the price a lot, will be more competition. Right now there's barely none.
In Germany, where I live, we slowly adopt the unsocial american ways over the last 10 years and it already hurts the low income people (still better than USA but worse than it was in the past). I really hope Bernie will somehow win and USA will adopt our social democratic system at least a little bit and Germany moves back to the "Soziale Marktwirtschaft" and away from the inhuman path to pure capitalism. The global top 1% are getting way too powerful. Globalisation made them more powerful than ever.

How does spending an estimated $18 trillion over ten years seem to be possible? It would not just be a struggleot to convince a republican controlled senate and house to pass this, but also what would be cut in order to fund said plan? It is impossible to realistically achieve this.
If you somehow manage to support the proposed $15 minimum wage, why? All credible economists can and will tell you that minimum wage is a detriment to the economy. Already we are seeing all time lows in teenage unemployment. Raising the minimum wage only hinders a business and creates greater unemployment, higher prices, and lower overall quality of goods and services.
Free college? Is this a joke? There are millions of Americans who have been through the struggle of paying for school on their own. As someone who is currently at a University, I would be enraged to find this to be true. I have worked my ass off to get the opportunity to be here, so why is it beneficial for this to become free for everyone else? Also, how would this be funded? And with the government paying for tuition, what would prevent colleges and universities from raising their rates even higher? It all sounds wonderful; free this and free that, but when reality sets in, it is economically impossible.
Politicians like Bernie Sanders don't come along everyday. Embrace him while you can America. Don't squander this opportunity to have honesty and integrity in the White House.

I would give my vote to this man, I live in a Scandinavian country and everyone I know would vote for Sanders because we know that his vision is possible in the U.S. and because everyone in there deserves better.

A future period. I was a straight A student and my parents were middle class. Now I'm working a shit job for shit pay and have student debt that I have no idea how I can ever pay for. My sister has been struggling to make it and shes done everything your supposed to and more. She is up to her eyeballs in student debt and only now with her masters is she able to live comfortably. She couldn't afford food when she worked for the food stamp office. WTF AMERICA.
