    Nice video but you leave out the hardest part of install, the electrical connection. They do not just plug in, they come with barrel connectors that have to be crimped on and they do not match the Suzuki connectors, so you will need to cut them off to install the female barrel connectors. I do think it would be that difficult for Zeta to prewire the blinkers with proper connections and charge a bit more….One other thing, Zeta could do a better job with the throttle side hand protector, it does not line up very well with the handlebar on that side no matter what you try.

      As for fitment, we didn't have that problem on our bike and they went on very easily. On some bikes, you do have to play around with things to get everything to line up perfectly. Handguards are somewhat generic and universal fit, since every bike has different handlebars and bends, so sometimes you have to tweak things a bit. As for the LED.... they will come with bare wires. They are not designed to fit specifically Suzuki motorcycles, they will work on any brand, and all brands will have different connectors. Most people cut the plugs off their stock turn signals and re-use those. On our bikes, we installed these running light adapters which come with the Suzuki plugs... soloracer.com/rladapters.html

    I have a 2023 DRZ....i don't think the one end needs to be cut anymore?

    • @SRmotousa
      @SRmotousa  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the DRZ400SM (supermoto version) comes from the factory with bar end pieces inserted into the ends of the handlebars, so the handlebars are open on the ends and you can just remove those bar ends to install the handguard inserts.

      @@SRmotousa I should have mentions I have a DRZ400S but mine also has the end pieces I can take out and have the open ends. Thanks for the info. 8 years late to the party but I think I'm going to order these. I like the black aluminum vs the silver of the Tusk brushguards I was thinking of getting.

    Ordered some of these from SRMOTO last night, can't wait to get them in. I also got my fender eliminator and flasher relay from them. Having these how-to instructional videos on TH-cam have been a big help to me, and they're really what has made me a customer for this company.

    Hey mate, just ordered a pair of these for my 2003 Kawasaki KLX400R (basically a green DRZ400E) will I need to order resistors for these when swapping from stock indicators?

    • @SRmotousa
      @SRmotousa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They will hyperflash unless you order the 12oClockLabs Fixed Rate flasher or the similar one that TST industries sells.

    You should not have to cut the grip nor the throttle tube if everything is still stock. not quite sure why he had to it looks like he has stock grips, but likely they've been replaced..

    • @SRmotousa
      @SRmotousa  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is an older video when we still had the stock grips and throttle tube. If you install handguards, you will have to cut the ends of the grips off, and also cut the end of the plastic throttle tube off, so that you can install the handguard inserts into the ends of the handlebars. We've since upgraded to Pro Taper Grips and also a G2 Quick Turn throttle tube, which has a removable endcap so you don't have to cut anything.

      SRmotodotcom I’m not sure what you mean. Anyways I just installed a pair of new zeta hand guards on my 2018 DRZ400SM and didn’t have to cut or drill anything. Holes were already there from stock bar ends. Who knew the zeta hand guards were made by Cycra!?

    • @SRmotousa
      @SRmotousa  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tpow2651 Yes, I think you are right that the DRZ400SM supermoto comes from the factory with bar end sliders, so the end of the grips/throttle tube are already open. But most of the dual sport bikes we also sell these for have closed end grips and throttle tube, so you do have to do some cutting. The DRZ SM is one of the exceptions.

    Will the side tripple mount work if you have a handle bar risers? Thanks

    • @SRmotousa
      @SRmotousa  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends how much you raise the bars. If you go much over an inch, then the triple clamp mounts run out of adjustment.

    Brett, thanks for the videos. I purchased from you and installed this exact setup on my 07 DRZ400SM and love it....very clean looking. Going to be ordering an Edge tail light kit with the upgraded board soon.
    Question.... What mirrors do you have on the DRZ in this video ? Are they something you are going to offer in the future ?
    Thanks, Chad

      To anyone who may be reading this comment, when ordering the Edge2 twilight, MAKE SURE you purchase the upgraded processor board and OEM adapter plug from these guys. You will love them.
