- In this video I strip back some 2nd Edition 40k Death Company back to bare metal and give them a paint job straight out of the 2nd edition Blood Angel's codex. I also show how you can add a little something special to your decals.
This is a direct link to the decal seller I like, The Mighty Brush. I'm not affiliated I just think their decals are excellent quality.

Great job mate. I particularly liked your tip about positioning the plasma pistol, and painting the glow on it too. Keep up the good work 😊
Thank you my friend. And I'm glad I have some useful tips to share.
Now all I need to do is get a better hang of camera position and editing.
They turned out great, iconic look.
Thank you.
Best looking death company I have seen. A comparison video of different paint strippers would be great.
I'm going to do a video on comparing a few different stripping chemicals, including that LA Totally Awesome and Simple Green, the latter of I can afford the stuff. So, coming soon my friend.....
Nice one
Good stuff Danny ❤
Thank you.
I still feel I need to work on my filming and editing, as well as lighting, get a mike so my audio is consistent and that type of thing. But other than that I'm enjoying the process.
Great work on your Death Company - good advice on turning the pistol hands, they look very natural in the final pose. Angels of Death was the first codex I ever bought - I got into 40k via Space Hulk so Blood Angels were the obvious pick, and even though I ended up doing a homebrew chapter, then turning coat to chaos anyway, I'm still very fond of Sanguinius's lads.
Space Hulk is such a classic. It was the cover of the 2nd ed 40k box today for me into Blood Angels and I loved the Angels of Death codex.
I actually enjoyed the "over the shoulder" view and didn't mind your noggin at all. Figure's in focus and excellent calm brushwork. Very nice.
Thank you very much. I do think I'm getting better at keeping my head out of shot though.
Looks great 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work
Aaaand thank you again.. Hopefully my videos continue to entertain. 😁
feels like this is something I just asked for :D :D Thank you!!!!
Oh and btw for metal miniatures. Try Brun Sæbe Crystalized :D
Thank you, and I shall try that stuff if it's available on the uk.
Another quality vid with some great tips. Keep them coming mate
Thank you very much my friend.
I've started recording my next video so I should be ready for the first weekend of March.
I am wanting to get 2 videos a month eventually, but I need to get more efficient at editing first.
Been collecting lots of 2nd edition metal minis for the last couple of months from Ebay for a big Blood Angels army. Perfect timing. Btw nice work, keep posting . Cheers
Thank you very much and I'm glad I timed the video well. I hope it helps
Proper nice 👌
They look awesome and painting that decal, crazy bas@#%d
Do you think they look ok then? I mean, they are your minis after all.
@@nostalgiahobbies they look bloody brilliant
Banging they are
Thank you very.
Thank you. I now have a much better appreciation of your eye brows.
I don't spend hours making sure they appear in shot just for them to be ignored. 😅
Also, I will get better at filming and making sure head cam doesn't happen too much.
@@nostalgiahobbies yeah, can’t show your best feature too often. Have to leave the crowds wanting more.
@@theylivewesleep.5139 Very true. I should maintain some mystery.
