Even though computer hacking is a common thing of discussion these days this was heavy stuff back in the 1980s as computers were relatively new No pun intended the pilot episode of Knight Rider was cutting edge dealing with computer industrial espionage and I wouldn't be surprised if in the 90s there weren't a few people attempting to be a Tonya Walker trying to sneak out have a computer lab with potentially tens of millions of dollars in computer corporation secrets

KITT is an AI he could easily reprogram his access codes and that kid could never get in. He was foolish to get control of the car and not the CPU. KITT IS the car!
It frustrates me that I can't read my 5 1/4 floppy disks anymore (seen in the background). I do have USB 3 1/2 inch drive; had to buy that for an important driver install several years ago when I discovered my new motherboard didn't have a disk controller connection.
