  • Please SUBSCRIBE, like, and click the Notification Bell: On 4th August 2020, heavy rains caused the local burn to burst its banks in Lower Mill Street in Tillicoultry. The noise you hear is the rumbling from large boulders being washed downstream. Hareburn Road suffered most damage and there was a threat to the bridge in the High Street at the west end, which was closed for a time while a structural survey took place. It withstood the force of the water.

    Hi and thanks, Scotland's History for sharing.
    OMG, the water level is too high and the whole town is underwater---1;31.
    Oh..no...mud all over the places now? I am wondering if anybody was hurt by the flooding. Of course, some houses and barns may be ruined by this flood. Do the flood victims have a system to get help? And, are you, all right? I pray for PPL affected by this natural disaster. 🙋‍♀🙋‍♀🛶🛶

      That's very kind but it happened 2 years ago. No-one was injured but some homes were flooded and roads closed. After a few days everything was back to normal and flood prevention measures were taken.
