- How does Marcus Freeman's Notre Dame squad respond after the stunning loss to Northern Illinois? Is QB Riley Leonard ready to go for Purdue? Matt Fortuna and Pete Sampson discuss all of that and much more.
Plus, former Fighting Irish All-American and current CBS analyst Aaron Taylor joins the show to offer his perspective.
Good show
A.T. Is awesome
Bench Leonard the rest of the season.
Marshall and Stanford had a combined 3 wins against P5 teams in 22' and 2 of those were ND. They were definitely up there for all time loses
Marcus Freeman will never live down the moment Leonard is injured and Angelli comes in to look like a competent college qb who can distribute to playmakers. It will be obvious the move should have been made sooner.
Simply, ND was not ready to do battle last Saturday. The effort was atrocious. So bad that many fans will have trouble really caring until they do something to show us THEY care. So much for "culture".
yeah but the thing is this happens to EVERY SINGLE TEAM EVERY SINGLE SEASON. Natty contenders or otherwise. the key is having the talent on the field where you win those games anyway. and then pick up the slack in the next week. you can’t do this though when you have a shitty quarterback
Bro pete looks just like Murray from impractical jokers 😂😂😂
If I were Purdue I'd go man-to-man no safeties and crowd the box and see if RL can hit a receiver.
If this not the worst loss which ones are worst at home when favored by as much when ranked in the top 5 playing a non power 5.
I blame Freeman more than Denbrock because the play on both sides of the ball was bad.
The L against NIU is on Freeman. You don't play an injured QB when the game is on the line. Chances are he'll end up throwing a pass like your kid sister.
Looking back a photo of the NIU Boneyard, shown to the ND Football team, might of had some affect, ie a WIN!!!!
Purdue is going to beat ND! They are not the same team as they were last year. They are deep and healthy. They brought in a bunch of skill at WR and CB. ND is in for a long day!
Purdue ran more than passed last year
I think we see Leonard get benched this game at halftime. Purdue will be up or tied with Leonard having another awful performance. Second half ND pulls away and that’s the last we see of Leonard.
Fire 🔥 Freeman
Freeman never should have been hired in the first place - he was NOT qualified to be a head coach … sober up fellas
"A&M-> Alabama, same thing" NIU and OU, not so much
Notre Dame is running this team like a Monty Python skit....no one expects the Spanish Inquisition
National media loves when ND falters
It’s the worse. People absolutely love it.
Notre Dame is the Donald Trump of College Football.
MF haters are clowns - hot seats? Absolutely. Bottom line - is it the worse loss in ND history? Possibly, definitely top 3. You want to go back to BK era where you handled bad teams but lose to every single good team? This week is one of the more embarrassing weeks of my life (yes I’m blessed that football losses is that), but do I want MF’s head? No. Look at where our program is in recruiting and depth. We got out coached for sure; but MF’s going to get more chances to fail and learn from Pete, so get over it. ND fans demanding championships is fair but insane given that we haven’t won one in my lifetime. Get over yourself at some point thinking we could get a Rhule/Urban, etc. You should be happy MF can recruit to South Bend the way they do.
