What you do need as a beginner... *Volleyball Shoes*- Asics Gel Rocket 10 and Upcourt 4 are good starting shoes, Mizuno Cyclone 2 are good too but they are a bit narrow *Kneepads*- Nike Knee Pads are good, but I prefer Mizuno *Athletic bottoms*- any running shorts, spandex, biker shorts, or leggings will work for practice. save good pair of spandex for games and tournaments if you're not given a uniform. Make sure they aren't see-through and squat proof. I prefer Nike Performance over Nike Pros because they don't ride up as much and cover more of the back but still give the aesthetic For Outdoor players the most you need a good pair of sunglasses, shorts, and running shoes if youre playing on grass. Asics, Brooks, and Hoka have good shoes but they do get pricy depending on your foot. Blenders eyewear has great polarised lenses and prescription lenses that come in cute styles and colors also
Ive decided i'm going to try out for the volleyball team in highschool! Im so excited to play for a school team and to finally be involved with something at school!! Thank you so so much for helping me on this journey ♡
I bought a arm thing and I wore it at practice and my passes were going not where I wanted it to go. Same with serving! I didn’t wear it after that incident.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm going into junior year and I'm gonna start volleyball in the fall. Kinda late, I know, but I just wanted to try something new. I also haven't done a sport since I was a kid so that's kinda not good lol. I probably won't make the team, but atleast I can try 😅
Most of the people I use that have passing selves are for not getting red arms and bruises when your still a beginner, like I don’t have much meat on my bones and I’m very prone to bruises so I use that until my arms get used to it
hey koko I am kind of a beginner player i have onley been playing for three years , and lately my arms have been getting super red from the ball hitting it,I have tried volley lite balls but they still makes my arms red what should i use i was debating using sleeves what should i use?
As a 1 year volleyball player who plays 4 days a week: it’s normal. My arms on the other hand, only turn red when it’s a hard hit. I’m used to it. Don’t use the sleeves. Trust me you will be ok girly.
I am on a team at school but my teammates are not the best, how do i carry or help them improve? I do tell them some tips but i don’t want to overwhelm them
I’m late but maybe just talk to the coache(s), lots of people take offense when other players tell them what ever they should work on etc. even if you don’t mean it in a mean or rude way. So I’d just maybe tell the coach(s) like “hey so I noticed that _____, ______, and _____ are really struggling with _____ I think if they worked on ______ it would help them a bunch” or something along the lines of that!
Can i ask something so i am a player of a small team and i need to buy a special piece of equipment so this piece of equipment you put the wristbands on your wrists and it is also connected with a volleyball someone throws the ball and you that you are wearing the wristbands connected to the ball try not to keep your hands steady and not move them does anyone know how is it called
I am starting to play really soon (also new) and this helps a lot! I'm short at 5ft 3 and have around a 8-10 foot (that is as tall as my kitchen cabinets and I can touch the top) jump I don't know if that is good or not please help.
yes absolutely! i don’t bc i find it harder to move in but i have friends who aren’t comfortable wearing shorts to play and it works great for them❤️ whatever makes you feel good about yourself!
Im a guy and I have really long hair and bangs that covers my face, so when Im in volleyball training I can barely see. Is there a tip on getting rid off that problem without having to tie my hair?
Hmmmm I’m going to brainstorm that however I think the best option would to research hair colored pins and the rules and regulations around that. I believe I have heard that Bobby pins are prohibited but I will look into this!
get a hard headband! im a girl but evdn with a hairtie my babu hairs fall onto my fall all the time. fabric headbands tend to slip off too. I reccomend a plastic headband! it can be cheap too, i got 2 for a dollar from dollar general and i love them!
I'm trying to save your coins! Do you have a piece of equipment you just don't like?
Keep Playing,
Coach KoKo ♡
can you do a video on vertical workouts for blocking?
ahh i remember when u showed us the setting wrap thing!!

Me too my arms get red and they hurt, will the sleeves with no cushion still help?
So helpful .... thanks ❤🥰
Now you should do volleyball equipment that is MUST HAVE
hey koko I am kind of a beginner player i have onley been playing for three years , and lately my arms have been getting super red from the ball hitting it,I have tried volley lite balls but they still makes my arms red what should i use i was debating using sleeves what should i use?
same
it’s part of the game. i’m a guy’s D1 libero and it’s just what happens
I don’t recommend sleeves, your body will get used to the “sting” there will always be redness but shouldn’t be any pain
3 years is not beginner 💀

Yes 1 one so happy! I love your videos! 😊
random but Koko's welcome intro is great

Uhhhhhhhhh well, you can’t jump 8-10 ft I’ll tell you that…you just need to be high enough to spike.
I think I need wristbands or something like that. During my first practice my wrist and arms were all bruised up. Any suggestions?
Luv your channel
Hey Koko! Are you allowed to wear leggings or tights underneath the shorts/replacing the shorts during tryouts?
yes absolutely! i don’t bc i find it harder to move in but i have friends who aren’t comfortable wearing shorts to play and it works great for them❤️ whatever makes you feel good about yourself!

I don’t know many volleyball rules and regulations so I don’t know if this is illegal but maybe a headband?
@@KokoVolley oh ok! Thank you so much! Your vids are one of my motivations to keep playing volleyball.
i just wear a hairband, other than that just tie it up like a unicorn! a better way to stand out haha

Love playing volleyball but the other team’s always tryna pull something 😒
The gloves with the balls in the middle just help me serve.I just rest my thumb on the ball and hold on to the rest
But i need something to cover my wrist cus it hurts
You'll get used to the pain!
