I’m one of the Two Notes Capture Masters, I can tell you that they’re not just IRs, although that is involved. And you choose the microphone as part of the system
Hey that was a nice mix, but I have to ask. YOur guitars always sound GLORIOUS, but I need to ask, in post, are you doing a Left/Right pain of 2 mics? I haven't figured out how to make my guitar sound full and as nice as yours. Could you consider doing a tutorial on mic placement of a guitar amp and what you do in post-production to help make the guitars have a full sounding tone to them? I've often tried micing my amp, panning it to one, say, left, and then doing a guitar in, and panning it right but it's still not the way I feel I want it to sound some times.
Thanks, it’s appreciated. For tone comparisons I always record a separate take for either side hard panned, it makes a huge difference. After that, tuning is super important for tracking, then gain staging and pick technique, but there’s really not much more to it. There’s no EQ used on this video, for example, except for what you see on screen! I’ll think about doing a video about this soon. Got a busy few weeks but it’s a good idea to put on the ever-growing list!
I too want to know if the latest update with Preamps is available for this unit.
Nice video, thanks for the information... can you import preamps at this torpedo? what if you have not a preamp? thanx!
great video...but one thing I don't understand: the IRs are already miced. Why should I mic them again?
That’s not how this works, the two notes cabs are not IRs
@@adamsteelproducer the two notes factory cabs ARE IRs but they have their own exlusive file system that only works on TN devices

@@adamsteelproducer what do you mean with "they’re not just IRs" ? Are they digital sims like in older L6 devices like POD?
I can’t tell you anymore because of NDAs. Sorry
can you direct plug this torpedo in clean channel of guitar amp..thanks
You can, but that makes no sense. Why would you feed a cabinet emulation into the front of an amp?

but can you still upgrade it currently today...finding it impossible to upgrade in 2021
They stopped upgrading these after the Cab M came out- cheaper and better specs. A whole new architecture!
So I should just get rid than ... and stick with cab m ...
Well it still works perfectly well, just don’t expect anything new to be added
Problem is I can’t get it to pc to edit it ect. Got cab m amd captor x up and running but not the torpedo cab ...
Talk to two notes support, see if there’s something you can do to get it running
Nice Demo! :)
This video is not what I found when I accidentally typed “hot pole studios” in my search.
Soooo dramaaaaatic...
