    As always another great tutorial video. 🤗The first thing I made was a twin afghan...and I learned a lot early on. I discovered that if I put a safety pin over every 4 loops it was easier to line them up on the adjacent strip. Of course, this method requires a lot of safety pins unless you join the strips as you go...so to speak. The plus to this also is your project grows as you go along. (I almost gave up when I realized after I made all my strips that I still needed to join them together 😳) By joining as you go along you do get that feeling of accomplishment, and when you get to the last strip you are joining it to your main body of work, and then just finishing off the edges. For larger projects I keep the work in a pillowcase or large zippered garment bag, but always with a couple of dryer sheets to keep it smelling fresh. I hope your subscribers/followers will give this a try..it is relaxing...once you get the hang of it...and get over the fear of making a mistake (that's what frogging is for 😆)

    • @TuulaMaaria
      @TuulaMaaria  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! It is definitely easier on large projects to join as you finish each one so it doesn't feel overwhelming at the end! You would need lots of safety pins for that method but then it would keep the strips straight.
      Many people seem to be wanting to try the technique, I'm glad!

    I've been working on hairpin lace crochet, but just the very basic stitches. I love how easy it is once you get into the rhythm. I'm hoping to make a lightweight, poncho type beach cover up, to wear on my holiday next year, as I don't want to scare small children with my pasty white arms and legs on show once I've finished swimming! Your tutorial today has been really helpful, especially about how to finish the strips. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us 😊
