World War Z Aftermath | Marseille 2, Fast EXP Farm, 1 Prestige Per Hour | Thrill Of The Kill Update

This EXP farming method is pretty well known, and it still works in the latest update (Thrill of the Kill, April 2024) where we need to prestige our classes to P9 to unlock all the perks. I have also added some mutators just to make the run easier. Hope it helps!

EDIT: To make it even faster, add on the Thief + The Impaler mutators with the Heavy Bat - this allows you to 1-hit melee kill zekes on any class, and restore stamina + health in the meantime. Does help quite a bit considering you'll use melee for pushback anyway.
So far this seems to be the optimal and fastest way to gain EXP for levelling classes solo - this does require you to have the DLC. The setup:
- Marseille 2 on Extreme difficulty
- Private lobby to add mutators, or you can do it offline as well but you'll need heavies or equipment to down yourself
- Pistol with Biathlete perk to run longer distances
- You just need to get to the elevator section, don't need to kill everything, can just kite the zekes with sprint + melee

Other farming alternatives:
1) Horde mode - probably a little more engaging and you can also farm weapon EXP, but slower in terms of class EXP
2) New York 3 Extreme with "I Feel Your Pain" and "Perfect Condition" mutators - takes ~2.5 hours for 1 prestige. The only benefit of this run is additional blue coins.
3) Extreme Campaign - runs are usually at least 10 - 20 minutes depending on map and squad proficiency and you only get 3250 XP for a successful run (more with virus samples). It is definitely more interesting this way, and you also get blue coins, but much slower for class EXP and you are not guaranteed a win.

It takes longer but I like to kill zombies at the end to also lvl weapons at the same time. I just started playing a couple of weeks ago

After running this loop for the past week or so, two other tips I can add for anyone doing it:
If you have the CQB available for the Crossbow, you can start the game by firing all the Crowwbow bolts in your magazine into the air/water. Before the game automatically makes your character reload the crossbow, interrupt the animation by switching to pistol. This won't trigger the AI/Zombies to go loud, and for the rest of the run you'll have 4 additional Melee Stamina. Takes a few seconds to set up, but it can help a lot when having to use the Heavy Bat repeatedly.
Also, depending on your class, it can be helpful to run Looter Mutator. It won't always be useful, but there have been a few times where the regenerating Stun Gun/Stim Pistol were helpful for getting to the elevator without dying.

Thankfully before this update I took advantage of a Double Exp event so I leveled up my slasher to the 10th level just for shits and giggles. 😂 I logged in and saw a new boarder and I was like "Thank God" because I wouldn't grind all the other classes again

Out of curiosity, do you think the new perk for the PAC15 Sporting Carbine that restores stamina on headshots would significantly improve the speed you can do this run?

Oooh that's a good idea! Yeah, it will help for sure, we had to walk like twice in the run to regen stamina. So probably could save like 10s++ with the stamina regen perk?

And way better on double exp so up prestige max class you like and wait double exp don t look too much time on Marseille and play more because lot of lvl 999 are so trash now full Marseille and don t know how to play the game and think because they have max class they can play on extreme.... And died 1st round (sorry for my English in french)
That make my crazy almost all mission i finish solo.....

As a slasher main currently grinding for the new prestige levels, this grinding method helped a lot! I used "the impaler" mutator as well, just in case I need an extra healing due to the damage taken while speedrunning. I also took the baseball bat for stamina recovery every melee kill.

That's a good idea! You can also add Thief mutator for additional melee damage so other classes can also 1-shot zekes with heavy bat.

I have most of my video quality settings at medium. If you want to reduce shadows and lights you can try turning Shadow and Light quality to low, while keeping the rest to medium/high/ultra depending on how good your setup is. To be fair I haven't played around with the settings a lot so you'll need to give it a try.
