Well, she doesn't cut big ones like that very often. I'm sure those larger saws cost a lot, and if you don't use it enough, it's not worth having and taking up your space...
No decent opal miner just hits a boulder without looking it over first....that's one of the first rules you learn....a lot of fabulous opal has been ruined that way....and what, the owners have been there 50 years, spent a quarter of a million on gear to do what they have been doing it for 50 years? Hammonds Mine was worked out way back years ago....its just nonsense stuff.
I really like this version because it puts these 2 guys out of their comfort zone! And they are having a great adventure along the way
This is a great series!
What a spot to camp sunset must have been beautiful
Excellent job Rod & and young Jimmy…
Nice one you two. That part of Aussie is stunning.
Beautiful opal with breath taking land.
Well done mates,,,,,
Should be turning over those bolders at night with ultra vilote lights to catch the shiners.
Those folks ripped you guys off
Massive Boulder Opal, oh my.
If there was some sorta sensor to see inside. AI will help.

Yeah, "Stumpy" isn't the mining nickname you want to end up with!
I hope it really is like this and not a”Hallmark moment” how they are so willing to teach the newbies to become better and e tend their skills.
They could get any monkey to dig holes , so why are they so desperate to pay them 20% to do a job they are doing anyway
Go big, Or go home lol
She's been cutting stones for 35 years and doesn't even have big enough saws to cut the big stones! Wasting money to pay someone to do the cutting!
You can't have everything in life stop being opinioted biased and find something better to do
