Thank you for this documentary , very interesting . Some of these small towns in Florida have such interesting history that most of the residents have little to no knowledge of .
Wonderful documentary! I saw my house, ..the old "Drift Inn". 20:30 Still have the sign :) Thanks for sharing! p.s. I tell people I live in Blue Springs....because that's what it should be 😊
Dear Mr. Hurtibise, I really enjoyed your program. Well done! But truthfully, I stumbled upon it by accident. You see, I am curious about a certain home up for sale on - 314 Cherokee Avenue. It was a church built in 1940 I believe, before it became a single family residence. Anyhow, I’m hoping you might be willing to contact me with any information you have about it? I live in Bend Oregon but I have a family member who lives in Florida who’s very interested in purchasing it. I personally believe a person should search out the history of something like this before buying. Orange City (like most places) have experienced the good, the bad... and the ugly. I was wondering if there are any “stories” or if there is any negative history behind this church/this dwelling as it did not come up in your program. I figure it might be for one of two reasons. Either it has held little significance or it has some dark history to it? I know that a potential buyer might not be handed down certain information unless they actually ask specific questions. So, can you help me out on this? Please look for me on FaceBook. My name is Lorraine Saldaña. I really look forward to hearing back from you and possibly talking over the phone or communicating by e-mail if you have something to share with me? I would really just like to know the truth one way or another as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your help regarding this matter. Sincerely, Lorraine
Lorraine Saldana Hi Lorraine, I no longer live in Orange City, but I’d urge you to reach out to my friend Gary Blair, who is mayor. You can find him easily on Facebook by searching Mayor Gary Blair and Orange City. If you send him a message and mention we communicated, I’m certain he will respond. Good luck!
@@RonHurtibise I've only lived here for a little over 3 yrs. That said, Mayor Blair keeps this town a community. Hopefully, it stays that way. Grats on the Mill Lake Park award is owed to him.
