    Thank you for making this. I made a video on how to breed and raise bronze cory fry and I'm glad to see it's basically the same techniques! Nice job

      You're welcome! I am currently raising Corydoras Adolfoi eggs using the same method too!

    Other video said create flow with a pump is a trigger for them to spawn,looks like doesn’t need it in your tank right? only saw a sponge filter.
    I’m trying to breed sterbai too,and considering if I need another pump or just sponge filter.

      Flow definitely helps, but the main thing would be the food and water changes. Feed Black worms if possible and then change water each day for a couple days and that usually will do the trick!

    Have you ever seen an egg get stuck to your cory? I also have sterbi and I've seen them breed several times and I've even tried raising the fry. But I have never seen an egg stuck to any of the fish. My female has what looks like an egg stuck to her face this morning......

    • @caseaquatics132
      @caseaquatics132  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I haven't had that happen before, but it wouldn't surprise me if an egg did stick to a fish because the eggs are very sticky.

    I have 5 sterbais I've had for almost 4 years now, all very healthy and I can't do anything to get them to spawn. Even with cold water changes. I do have a turquoise rainbowfish in the tank, maybe he's been eating the eggs if they have been spawning?

    • @caseaquatics132
      @caseaquatics132  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, sorry I have been gone for the last couple years. But now that I am home again I am seeing this comment. I would suggest getting your hands on some black worms, and feeding those for a week and blood worms if you don't have black worms. But Black worms combined with the water changes usually puts them in the mood to breed. You will notice a different behavior in the fish, they become more active and chase each other when they breed.

    What's the red fish swimming around?

    • @caseaquatics132
      @caseaquatics132  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The small red fish are Ember Tetras, and the bigger fish that is orange/red with blue eyes is a Pseudomugil Luminatus Rainbowfish.

    How long does it take them to grow that size? 1year?

    • @mikuenjoyerXD
      @mikuenjoyerXD 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm trying to figure that out too, I'm guessing it depends on the food you give them and the water quality and the amount of times that you change the water

    • @caseaquatics132
      @caseaquatics132  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So this size it was probably about two years. It has taken like two and a half months for my babies to finally get full patterns, and they still aren't that big at all. But they started breeding at probably a year and a half but I wasn't able to get eggs to hatch until after they were over two years old. It could have been because of the methods I was using to hatch my eggs which I changed and then finally got good results.

    • @caseaquatics132
      @caseaquatics132  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes food, water quality and water temperature play a big factor into the growth of the fish. If you keep the tank around 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit they will grow a lot faster because their metabolism will be moving at a faster rate because they are warmer. And making sure they are adequately fed will optimize their growth. From their I would just change water at a rate to keep the tank is at a healthy state for the fish.

      Yeah, it's age too because they can be a little smaller and still breed but the eggs might not be fertile. But yeah just be patient and feed them black worms and blood worms and do regular water changes and they will start breeding when they are ready!
